A big hate for Oasis? Oh no!

To be honest, I havent been on here for a while, I just checked it last night ant tonight. I am studying like crazy and have cut down my computer usage to 3 days a week. So I wont be back on until wednesday night. I'll have a look at the WOM section, but what a shame.

Jack Johnson, best study music. Very calming!

mate what do you think of all this animosity on the world of music section. since ive been busy with exams this past week ive been a oblivious to it all but i had a look through today and thinks seem pretty tense and over the top in my opinion. there seems to be especially big hate for oasis and nirvana. i wonder how many of those people have actually taken the effort to sit down and listen to either definitely maybe and morning glory or nevermind and mtv unplugged.

nonetheless would love to know what you think of it all. i won't reply until later tonight.

    wow really no 10's?

i have quite a few. i wont bother with the artist names cos its obvious
Ok Computer, The Bends, Vitalogy (pj), Ten, Nevermind, the Joshua Tree, Definitely Maybe, The Wall. Led zep II and IV, Revolver (beatles), bloodsugarsexmagik, Elephant, Rush of Blood to the Head and the latest addition to that list In Rainbows. i'm sure i've forgotten a handful. mind you that off a list of about 200 albums.

had no idea that the last shadow puppets album was sooo high up on your list. it was in my top 10 of last year but i didnt like it THAT much.

Good question. 10 is impossible, I dont think I have ever heard an album where I loved every single song off it.

From my itunes, I would say other recent 9.5 albums would be:
    Last Shadow Puppets
    Coldplay
I dunno, my itunes unaccessable at the mo. But I dont have any 10's!!
I'd say Oasis' first 2 albums would come close.

my mates are no longer interested in going to see Doves now. so thats off my list. i'll see what else is on during July in sydney. have you seen the new MGMT video for Kids? its not half bad.

i've noticed you have a few album ratings in your signature ( do you still have it ?). just wondering. which albums would you give a 10?

heya alex.i'm jamie but i prefer to be called deaths_friends on the forum for the sake of anonymity. hope you loved the eskimo joe gig. like i said on the thread starting from july they will begin broadcasting these shows on ABC2 so we will get to see it very soon. about telekinesis, the reason why your getting it for free is because its a part of triple j's fortnightly free music podcast which is made available on iTunes and i quite like that song. to be honest i havent seen the grizzly bear cd on the shelves either. i dont plan on buying it until after my exams. a bit of a reward haha

yes the brian eno interview was amazing. he spoke about all things music including his work with david bowie and the DJ asked him a few things about coldplay which i thought was great. if you jump onto the triple j website and go the Zan Rowe show page you can find the full interview there.

hmm yes study. Same. I made my last trip to JB hi fi for a while last night, and got a nice haul, still couldnt get my hands on the new pheonix. I got Eskimo Joe's newie, which is really upbeat, and an album by a band Telekinesis who have a free single on itunes. Plus arctic monkeys and stone roses. I took advantage of the 20% off sale you see.

Is the grizzly physical cd out yet here? I havent seen it yet. Was the Brian Eno interview insightful? I have been at work the last 2 days so I have been quite out of the loop.
