they're simply going to start streaming the album on their website on thursday like the rest of the world. the actual broadcast of the album is still midday on friday. i've only had one listen through to the album and i actually think its ok. nothing of the calibre of knights of cydonia or assassin from the previous album and no where near the quality of their first 3 albums but its still a good listen all the way through. what do you think?

i guess you're feeling a little shitty about oasis splitting. this might make you feel better. Triple J are broadcasting Friendly Fires performance in melbourne from last month. it starts at 8pm tonight. ABC2 have The Panics live at 10:30pm.

A wise choice. I only need to pass Macro this semester (which is amazingly difficult) to get my economics major, but I enjoy my management subjects a million times more!!

Yeah vocals turned me off sketchead, its average. (But B side material!!)

wow thats a sweet vid, the bit with the bomb-blast!

just took a listen to sketchead. love the music not that impressed by the vocals and lyrics.

i agree that this years falls isnt as good as last year. i really want to go to these camping festivals one day especially falls and splendour then the european ones.

mate did i tell you i dropped out of my economics major at uni? last semester absolutely killed me so i changed back to just commerce/law. 8 of my mates from that subject also dropped haha. very very harrowing experience.

watch this mate. i know you're busy but this will be worth every second.

well falls is nowhere near as good as last year's! I am not a grizzly bear fan, and I don't think they or the yeah yeah yeahs are decent enough headliners. I guess it's just my preferences. I am pretty sure BDO or V Fest will get Muse, V fest *may* get AM (they will come back next year), Kasabian may do BDO, I just think the worse these other festivals are, the better the un-announced ones will be! Yes, I would go to see temper trap, Yves Klein (they supported White Lies when I saw them) but overall, hmm... Soundwave's (for those people) is pretty good, I shouldnt have said 'crap', I should have said 'not tailored to my tastes'...

U2 would be amazing, Reading their book at the mo. Shaky start aussies.

reverend and the maker album is great from what ive heard of it

mate what the hell with the fest line ups!! have you seen the freken line up for falls and soundwave!! they would give BDO a run for its money. Falls has grizzly bear yeah yeah yeahs sarah blasko the temper trap charlift editors little birdy yves klein blue (supporting wolfmother at my uni for free) andrew bird art vs science and lisa mitchell is worth the entry free alone haha. i wont go through the soundwave line up but that is equally as awesome if you're into that sort of music.

yeah its a shame Oasis arent coming. U2 are strongly rumoured to be here september/october 2010. i was dissapointed metallica missed us also.

lets send freddie off in style an innings victory to the aussies should be fitting.

Oh and I purchased a few albums today. Finally got me a physical copy of Elbow's 'Seldom Seen Kid' - I love it. I also got Reverend and The Maker's new album, 'A French Kiss In The Chaos', which is good, and Julian Plenti's solo album (Lead singer of Interpol) which I haven't listened to yet.
