BEST MOVIE I'VE SEEN IN THE LONGEST TIME. Simply fantastic. I generally don't like Jim Carrey but he was magnificant.

The acting, writing, cinematography, sound editing, score, plot everything was amazing.

My theatre got rid of it right away due to low sales (thats what they said). I'll rent it when it comes out.

The sort of depressing outlook is part of what I like about it. It made me think of every girl I've ever been involved with, and just like in the movie, realize that there's more good there than bad. (Which is probably the reason so many people love this movie so much)

I thought the saddest part was when he remembered them in bed and she was talking about how she thought she was ugly and said: "Don't ever leave me..." and then it disappeared and Joel begged to let him keep that one memory.

aww..that part WAS really sad.. i really love that movie..one of my favourite parts was when they were both in her living room for the first time, and i think she touched him somehow and he was like "..ooh that feels nice" and..oh my..it was just so lovely

i liked enternal sunshine a lot, i don't think it's God's gift to cinimatic history or the 'worlds greatest acid trip' like some over-dramatic people have claimed it to be. it's just a nice original story that provides us all with a new idea to think about.

Oh my! How could I miss this thread ? I absolutely adore this film. The story is great, and wow...I mean, I was spechless when I left the cinema, but Kate is one of my fav actresses.

yea but at the end it shows that erasing someone isnt gonna help.. and the fact that you had really good memories with the other person makes it even more difficult to go along with the procedure, which isnt real to begin with.

I don't think the message is that you can't escape love at all. I think it's more that if you don't learn from your mistakes, you're going to end up repeating them, and that no matter how painful mistakes can be, they are an important part of who you are.

Would your life be better?), invents fictional science that can answer that question, and shows the results- usually forcing the reader or viewer to come to terms with some of the ways that it can go wrong.
