The biggest news of September was delivered by Phil.
Mylo Xyloto (My-low Zy-le-toe) was finished! Coldplay.com posted the back of the CD containing the track listing and "icons" relating to each song.

The Sun reported that Rihanna would be featured on track Princess of China. Chris told them "The album is designed as a whole piece. It has boy and girl lead characters and top of our list for the girl part was Rihanna... but it took a while to pluck up the courage to ask her.
"We did a show in Las Vegas and I met her and said, 'Do you think there's any chance?' I was very Hugh Grant-like and spluttering about it. She has such an amazing voice and it's so different to mine. When the vocal happened I thought 'Wow, you sound different' but I think that's also because she was singing a different song to what we are used to hearing from her and it is written by a bloke from Devon."

Announced Coldplay to play Gary Barlow's charity gig Children in Need Rock Manchester in November. Also on the bill Michael Buble, Elbow, JLS, Lady Gaga, Hugh Laurie, James Morrison, N Dubz, Snow Patrol and Ed Sheeran.

The UK's Sunday Times newspaper gave away a free album of tracks from Coldplay's performance at July's iTunes Festival in London. People outside the UK had to settle for viewing on iTunes.

Announced that Coldplay would return to Rockefeller Plaza for an outdoor preformance on Today Show in NYC on October 21, to celebrate my birthday. OK the birthday part wasn't announced, but I'm sure it was the reason. :lol:

Hype Williams to directed Paradise video? It was reported that Hype Williams would be directing the video for Paradise and it would feature Brazilian model Cintia Dicker. If this video was ever completed we may never know as the awesome video by Mat Whitecross was the version the band released.

Named Festival Headliner of the Year by BBC6. Will spoke with Steve Lamacq about playing the festivals.
Playing festivals gave the band "...a chance to win people over. But there's also a strong possibility that people have already made their mind up about you," he added, "and no matter how well you play they're not going to be happy about it."
He admitted that playing big shows and music festivals gave him anxiety dreams. "They took the place of the 'I'm late for an exam' dreams," he told Steve Lamacq. "The whole band come on... and then they walk off and I'm left carrying the can, just playing a drum solo. Awful."

Tickets could only be won so since I didn't win any I was forced into bullshitting my way in. And since I am skilled in the BS dept, not only got in, but was VIP escorted to first row. :lol:
They gave out cool brightly colored shirts with the MX song icons on them. They played a full show and we all got to pretend it was New Years' Eve and Chris did the countdown.
