What are the lyrics of Charlie Brown about?

I think it's about childhood or being a kid/adolescent or something like that. With the whole Chris's voice sped up and "all the boys, all the girls", and the fact that the song is called "Charlie Brown". That's my take on it.

Within the context of the album, Charlie Brown comes after the introduction of our male protagonist (Hurts like Heaven) and our female one (Paradise). To me, it seems like Charlie Brown finds our two characters meeting in the midst of a crazed city night, "running wild," and happily "glowing in the dark."

According to Coldplay and what I get out of it, this is what I see the "Meaning" being:

A boy being set free from a world of constraint into a cartoon world with cartoon hearts and scarecrow dreams. He escapes the madness of the world for a world where he is luminous. Essentially it is all about escape.

There was an interview I saw not long ago where Chris describes what the lyrics are about. He said he had his scooter stolen and it basically inspired the lyrics (I stole a key...). It's about what the youth get up when they are bored and what not.

I heard somebody say Charlie Brown is the Charllie Brown in cartoon Snoopy. I can't agree with that. Is there anyone can explain the meaning of the name? Thx!:D

^I think I read somewhere that at first there were some lyrics in the songs that suggested or even stated something related to the cartoon. But eventually these lyrics didn't stay, unlike the title of the song that remained the same (they were probably left out very late in the process, and the band couldn't figure out another name for the song).
