Don't see it (although Spanish Rain is a direct ripoff of Bruce Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark)

Well maybe not exactly the same song, but I thought there were some strong similarities.

I don't really see many simlaties. Lyric wise the songs are structured complelty different and music wise it doesn't really feel as Charlie Brown- though I probably would only say a few notes are shared.

Now that I think about it, the only similarities I thought of before posting were basically that they made me want to go 'ole ole ole' haha :P

How awkward, should think again before starting threads.
Soz guys lol.

Don't feel bad, it made me look into the song (I know the name, but really I couldn't put name to tune) and remember how awesome it is.

Yeah, its a sick tune. Especially within the context of the tour.

The moment I first heard Charlie Brown live, I was reminded of Don Quixote/Spanish Rain. Now that I've heard the studio version, I maintain my belief that Charlie Brown is either the direct evolution of Don Quixote/Spanish Rain, or at least borrows some elements, because I just can't hear Charlie Brown without thinking of it. And I loved Don Quixote/Spanish Rain, so that I at least got Charlie Brown is quite heartening.

Same song, much?

Unfortunately comparing Spanish Rain to Charlie Brown is comparing Charlie Brown to a song that was unintentionally copied from Bruce Springstein's Dancing in the Dark. They probably scrapped Spanish Rain as soon as someone pointed it out...
