Deutsch macht viel, viel Spaß! Femdsprachen lernen ist sehr wichtig, so natürlich lerne ich was, und ich freue mich darauf. Ich hoffe, dass ich's bald fließend sprechen kann. Meine Deutschklasse ist nur im zweites Jahr!

hehe ok, we only changed them few years ago.. it started in 1996 or 1997 and we had to learn them
but people started protesting, and so they took it back again (and we had to stik to the old rules again)
but then there were so many books printed in the new writing rules, so they told us to use the new rules again :stunned:
I try to write in "new" German, but they changed the spelling of so many new words that you can't know them all ;)

Well, we get "ss" instead of ß after short vowels, if the word has a long vowel or a diphthong we keep the ß. Names don't change.

Another thing is that we now allow the usage of one and the same letter three times in a row. So the word "Schiffahrt" (consisting of Schiff and Fahrt) is now spelt "Schifffahrt".

Then the rules for capitalization and the usage of commas changed a bit, but I can't quite recall the changes right now. :blush:
