Why do they keep getting shorter and shorter ? I'm sure the 2012 tour will be much longer, I just don't get why now they have to make them shorter...

2nd time that Christmas Lights is on there but isn't played, why would they do that ?

I hope someone in here the previous reports of the length of the concerts completely disagree. On the Glowbands I can do without listening to it 3-4 more songs! so few songs I do not find that funny anymore...

Now that was an awesome show! The crowd was a bit lame, didn't really know many lyrics but could be worse. Those bracelets that glowed we're awesome! looked really really nice. And i agree, the setlist should contain more songs, 20 orso would be better!

The crowd is always amazing in front of the stage:p it surely was a good show, but a bit more in the middle/back the crowd almost didnt move at all! i was moving on the songs with some other people and people around as we're standing there as if no music was played at all!

This was just another perfect show from the best band in the world.
They did a bit of a short setlist without Shiver again, but still it was perfect.
The concert started with enormous energy and the guys just seemed generally happy with the entire show.
The crowd was NOT lame at all, at least not at the front. Everybody was cheering and singing along with the songs.
Cheering so loud that Chris even stopped playing during UATW because nobody could even hear what he was singing.
So amazing crowd, band, special effects and even amazing venue. A lot of people dislike AHOY as a concert venue, but i liked it.
It sounded great. Just another very special night in the life of the Coldplayers.

I could be a bit high'ish at the moment because of that awesome show, but I think that was the best gig I saw them play. Eventhough I missed a LOT of my favs.
Yes, perhaps it was a bit short'ish, but time flew past anyways.
I never saw a crowd screaming, singing and clapping that loudly. Took my mom with me today and she was absolutely amazed. We had seats, but I did not use my chair during the show. Thankfully the people around me didn't mind and stood up as well =D
Oh and yeees, I waved to ilovechriss ^_^
During UATW Chris told the crowd that they should encourage the boys as they starting playing on the song. When Will joined everyone yelled and clapped so loud that they had to stop playing because they probably were not able to hear anything anymore:D They soaked all the energy up and used it for their gig.
Did anyone ever see Chris kiss the stagefloor, before they walk off? He did today!
Amazing gig!

Its a pitty,really...i was looking forward so much to the concert in Frankfurt. Hearing some of the new songs, getting a new setlist...but it turned out not much has changed compared to all the festivals so far. Except the glowbands...BUT...NO GLOWBAND CAN BE AS GOOD AS SONGS LIKE DLIBYH OR UP WITH THE BIRDS !!!

THIS WAS THE BEST THING EVER!!! Hahaha :) I was in front of the small center stage, about 2 people separating me from the barrier. But we were stupid, we didn't see they were handing out wristbands so we didn't get any. The best part of the show was the enormous applause for Will during Us Against The World :D

Just got back from Rotterdam , what an amazing show.. best one I've been to !! The audience whent absolutely wild and the Guys were loving it.. at one point during Us against the world , they had to stop playing because the crowd was so loud, you couldn't hear the music anymore !! + Chris did 'I'm dreaming of a White Christmas' , phenomenal ! The Xylobands are the most beautifull live effect ever by the way. Coldplay , u did it again

Well, i thought about that ... last few weeks when i saw the setlists ofcourse I was sort of bummed that there were no additions . But its kindof impossible not to be over-excited after such a show, so don't blame people for that . It's the difficult thing about colplday , all of their songs are good , you can't really not like a live performance...

:rolleyes:Loved the show, it was superb! How they can make you believe you are in one room with them, only to sing for you, awesome! And they were genuine in their thanks to the crowd. I sat second ring, and my mate and I didn't want to spoil the view of the people behind me, so we stayed seated. But I (lap)danced on my chair! They really rocked the place. Politics was great. Of course Charlie Brown, IMP and GPASOYF!!! All of it! Only missed Christmass Lights. But then, it was f..ng perfect, to the ear, to the eye an to my heart!!

I thought the crowd yesterday was amazing. It reminded me of images I have seen of a Beatles concert in the Netherlands, with all those screaming girls. My ears are still ringing.
What coldplay does, they do great. Great energy, great sound, great to see.
However, I'm really disappointed with the fact that they only played for 85 minutes, same as at the festivals. The set list hasn't really made any significant change since the festivals, apart from Paradise being played instead of Life is for living. They never add songs, they change songs.
And what I really don't understand is that they haven't played Christmas Lights. If not now...., when.

Brilliant show, when those glowbands went on the reaction was Woooowww, 2 bad me and my 3 friends didnt get any.. :( I saw so many people with 1 on each wrist... why?..
Loved the scientist and Us against the world :), Chris' brilliant moves! I hope that they will make this tour longer, it was too short, I already knew but I can imagen you'd be dissapointed if you expected at least a 2 hour show.

Got back earlier, the show was absolutely amazing!
We got there and ended up in the rain for a while, saw a New York Pizza arrive at the other Ahoy building which made me hungry :P We got inside quickly once door's opened and we went straight to the Merch Stand and I got a Tour Book and a Shirt :D I managed to pick up 6 wristbands throughout the whole evening, but that's not because I kept asking for them - everytime I went to get food or drink from the Unox area they kept giving them to me! My neighbour had 2 and I wore 4 for the whole night, got lots of confused stares haha :P
Emeli Sande was alright but her voice was getting annoying so it was a relief when the Professor Green joined her, that song and the last were the 2 best ones she did.
Then it was another long wait, which wasn't pleasant where we sat (Gb, right in the top corner). Back to the Future theme came on, and then the party started :D The whole concert was absolutely amazing! My Highlights were for sure GPASUYF, HLH, Viva, Charlie Brown, Politik, Paradise, Fix You and ETIAW but all in all everything was a highlight.
Once Paradise finished, me and my neighbour legged it and ran down to the first ring and watched the encore from there! It was amazing!
We left satisfied and headed for the stage door where the security briefly let me in, but then crew were turning up with equipment and I left :/
I loved last night so much! Can't wait to see the videos I filmed when I get them from my neighbour :D I'll show everyone here!

We were there as well (first ring row 12 :D:D), was our 2nd Coldplay concert (1st was Hannover 2008/9?).
The Xylobands were cool, really added to the overall experience ha! (now to see how we can activate them ourselves).
The crowd was amazing.. hope i added some, i known almost all lyrics and didn't hesitate to sing it all out loud :laugh3::laugh3: ..
At one time Chis sayed .. :
It would be great if you could give a good cheer when any of the guys come up and play .. as we all need some appreciation sometimes.
Then after singing the first piece of Us against the world, Will starts to sing and the crowd went wild .. SO wild that you could see Will smiling and stopping couse he couldn't hear himself OR Chris .. it was funny.
Did anyone hear the F bomb diring Violet hill? .. :P:D

I'll upload some video's, one is the intro .. other one is Chris singing Have yourself a merry little christmas (sorry .. not full length .. took a while to start camera )
AND.. i thought it would be absolulely USELESS for me to film whole songs, bcause there is already lots of footage available (complete live shows, Glastonbury, Madrid etc) .. i liked watching and enjoying this live and not behind a (phone) screen!
Cheers!

The show was brilliant. It was my third time, but this one was so great. Ahoy is a great place, the crowd was fantastic. I was about two meters away from the X-stage. I can't describe the feelings I had during MX, with those glowing wristbands. Absolutely amazing, the boys were doing so well and they were so excited. Chris said some really lovely words to us Dutch people, and the setlist was great! Chris played White Christmas just before Fix You, lovely!

morning Y'all!
It was an amazing gig last night! but the sound sucked! it was farrrr too loud, my ears are still ringing! anyone else?
anyway we arrived at about 2:30, there were a bunch of people waiting (i;m guessing 75-100), and I knew Tash and a few other people were inside already. I send my BF out for some food, and pretty soon they closed the line behind us. even though it was still rather quiet, but Hey I'm not complaning!
the guys behind us ordered pizza, best idea ever! They we're behind me at the pinkpop gig as well.
So it rained just a little but luckily we didn't get soaked, but we started freezing our butts off! finally the doors opened, at 18:40 ish. it's only cause I knew we were getting wrist bands, and I waited for the guy to hand them to me, seriously they give you one job
Tash said they'd be stage left, and try to save me a spot, we found them quite easily, and there was plenty of space   tnx tash! so I ended up second row, but when the coldplays started i was more frontrow not bad for someone showing up that late!
it was good to see all the friendly faces! the show was absolutely amazing, full of energy, and chris was just lovely, whishing everyone happy holidays etc, and the crowd was amazing too, though you could barely hear them over the extreme noise, seriously tune it down, this is not a festival, and the Mylo Xyloto stuff has a lot of extra sound which really almost overwhelms chris' singing, his mic was so loud the sound broke up and still couldn;t get over the huge wall of sound, esp during paradise! I swear it's only because I knew what the lyrics are, cause I don't think I could tell otherwise, such a shame :(
like I said the crowd was full of energy, and we're extremly loud during us against the world, which made them laugh and start over :nice:
and the wrist bands! WOW they look so amazing! what a great idea! I enjoyed the new tracks as much as I loved the old ones, it may sound lame but I did. I was really hoping for christmas lights, but they didn't play it, which I really don't understand, you have your own christmas hit, but don't play it :S I guess it some kind of modesty thing, or what ever.. but it didn't ruin the show in any way, it's really cute chris plays white christmas though  well I guess that about rounds it up, for I second I thought they'd come back after ETIAW, but nope, roadies were on and that was the end of it. Tash ended up getting Johnny's setlist, and another girl got a handwritten note that said forleiches Kerstfeest which looked more german to me but it means happy christmas, and I guess it's chris' way of pronouncing it the dutch way, but I don't think he used it.
I got a setlist from the techbooth :nice: we had a quick peek at the backstage entrance where We met Chris last time they were here, but it was actually snowing/ raining and we didn't see any vans waiting so we called it an evening.. but a really good one!

aaaah it was so perfect! It so was the best concert I've ever been to in my life. I really loved all the special effects, I've never seen anything like that. And The band was just great, I really liked the setlist. Though I'd love to hear Trouble and Christmas Lights... But overall it was great!
OMG! It was so amazing! We had front row places at the B-stage, so when the guys played Up In Flames and Us Against The World the distance was only one meter! I will post my review later and add some more pics an vids I shot. Still flabbergasted.

Hi Carla,
sound was loud indeed, but at the 1st balcony it sounded perfect (listen to my vids) .. maybe they should turn down the center speakers @ the stage.
Oh well .. on to the next one!
Menno
morning Y'all!

When 99 problems started the whole box I was sitting in absolutely freaked out! When the writstbands lights went on, so many people were shocked, and they loved it! At Pinkpop you couldn't see the lasers at all, but now they were working, definitely :D
The jumping during Charlie Brown was amazing! I was a bit suprised that the crowd could sing songs like UATW and UIF.. Crowd was great..

Happy you guys had such a good time. Thanks for all your stories/reviews/pictures/videos everyone, love them all!
42JTR, what does your towel smell like? :P
I'm a little late but my post is gonna be huge... I know no one's gonna read the entire thing, but I have to share it, I'm sorry.
Well Lovers, I had floor tickets, so had to queue for a good spot. ;) Seats are a huge advantage in this weather and I'm glad you had a good view too!
We (me+friend+parents) arrived at 3.30pm and were the first in the second box thing. Kudos to everyone who got there earlier, it was sooo cold.... So my friend and I went to the nearby shopping centre to get some booze to heat us up. And, that got us in an even better mood. :nice:
I also saw someone ordering pizza R23 and jack, it wasn't us!
Suddenly, our box joined the first one, because there was some free room there (human herd behaviour). That too helped keeping us from freezing our asses off. It then started to rain, but still, I actually enjoyed the wait.
Finally the doors opened and we ran. We got pretty close to the stage, one (unenthusiastic, grumpy, generally annoying) person between us and the middle of the catwalk, on the right side. My dad got separated from us in the chaos and we didn't see him again until after the show. I was a bit bummed by that, partly because Violet Hill is kind of 'our' song. Thankfully I had my sweet mum and my great friend with me.
Edit: My dad said he saw our faces on the screen during Yellow...
Oh, I forgot to wave at 19.40 Lovers & Ilovechriss, so I did it at 19.50. Did you see me? :P
We should make it a tradition, random waving at Coldplay shows.
Really enjoyed watching Emili Sandé, she's such a good singer and her music is beautiful. After that, we got our friggin awesome glowsticks out, which I put through my earrings. We also had glow-in-the-dark make-up, but that didn't work out too well. :dozey:
Then the change over, saw a couple of familiar roadie faces (some of which were Hopping) and finally... Coldplay.
I kept away from reading setlists over the past few weeks, but as soon as 99 Problems started I felt it wasn't going to be much different from the festivals. Of course there were a few changes, like Paradise and Up In Flames, but I was hoping for some more, like Don't Panic and What If... (Edit: Oh god, just read that they played Daylight in Glasgow and Manchester. WANT.) Come to think of it, I think most of all I missed something 'old' on the B-stage.
However last night, I did not mind. I also prefer songs over confetti and light effects (although they are absolutely stunning) and looking back, I missed a lot of my favourites, but yesterday I was on Planet Coldplay where there's no problems at all (let alone 99). I mean that in the most positive way possible, because during Pinkpop for example, I stayed on planet Earth.
As soon as they came on stage and the wristbands lit up, I er, well, basically... started crying. I feel like such a fangirl, but the last six months have been very difficult for me, and Coldplay might be the main thing that keeps me going, so I think that's a good excuse. ;)
Their shitload of confetti was really cool, I could barely see Chris and Jonny during IMP, while we were only a few feet away (Chris has such nice ARMS). I also touched their balls again and they felt nice and soft. :P
I read someone saying the crowd was lame, are you serious? Thankfully I saw most people disagreeing. Like you guys said, during UATW they started laughing and had to stop because of our massive cheering. Actually, at times I couldn't hear Chris at all because of everyone singing along. Dutch crowds can be really tough and boring, but this one was awesome.
Lost my voice from screaming myself, and I'm sorry for people standing near me.
Oh, I swear Guy smiled at me while waiting to join in on Up In Flames. Jonny's smile was more shy, but Guy was just being flirty with us. :wink3:
Basically, I adored every single song and time flew by. When they went off after Paradise, it felt like they had only played for ten minutes.
Then they came back for Clocks and Fix You (more tears), and I loved White Christmas.
And, Christmas Lights was on the setlist? Aargh, why the hell didn't they play it?!
But hey, we got Teardrop. :| But like I said, at the time I didn't really care, while usually I'm not so Easy To Please.
It was just such a great, great show.
When the band had gone off, a girl standing directly in front of me fainted. I don't know if she's on here, but I do know how she felt and I hope she's ok. 'Good' thing that it happened after the show.
And Chris kissed the stage? Totally missed that! Probably due to more tears. All happy ones, by the way.
After the show we had a beer, and close to the exit I think I saw Hoppy with crutches and a helmet, talking to three other men. Not 100% it was him though.
We got home by 2.30am, tired and stiff, but totally happy.
Long story short: this was the best thing I've ever been to (seen them four times now). Might have been because of the 'small' venue, because of my mood, because of the crowd, the wristbands, or just the band getting better and better, or all these things.
What a night, what a crowd, what a BAND ♥.
Apologies for the hugeness of my post, I'm way too excited and way too tired.
Thanks to all great people there, we made it a big party and I think the band loved it.
I don't have any pics to post, my dad kept my camera in his pocket, so...
Btw, did you see Chris tweeting that picture around 7pm? That's very close to the entrance... If he took it himself, someone must have seen him. Tall, white male, great eyes, probably wearing some sort of hooded top... ;)

And smelling a used towel?! Now that's something I kinda don't wanna do:P
And Blue Nails, I saw so many people wave that it could be that I saw you! Ilovechriss and I waved at each other around 19:45:lol:
I waved to people quite a few times, which was fun. We should make it a tradition indeed =D
Yeah 42, you should put your clones on e-bay, big business!

I just want to say that the crowd was fricking amazing! I had a wonderful evening and I'm very happy I have Jonny's setlist and loads of confetti :nice:
I saw them three times in nine days :awesome: and now I have to wait until June :(
Tash, did I read that you got in before everyone else? Can't we get a sneak peek at how you did that? :wink3:
Oh congrats, lucky girl!
June will be here before you know it.

The first 10 people in the queue were asked if they wanted to test the glowbands. In return we were allowed in before the doors opened.
After we tested the glowbands we were supposed to watch the soundcheck but they were running late because of the 3FM interview so they didn't have any time left to soundcheck :( But we did see Will and Chris :nice:

The concert was seriously amazing. Loved the crowd and the balance between the new and old songs. Me and my friends were the guys that ordered the pizza. We saw so many people with junk food, and we thought: The only way we can get junk food as well, is to order it, which turned out in a funny situation. After us, someone else also ordered a pizza, but without showing up, which resulted in a confused pizza deliverer. I think the wristband are absolutely amazing; trying to collect them all now.
I am even more exited now for their next visit, although I doubt it can be any better than this.

Haha echt vet!
Ik vond het concert echt geweldig, alleen het voelde zo kort terwijl het toch anderhalf uur duurde! Vooral die stukjes met Us Against The World dat iedereen ging joelen voor Will was echt vet en bij God Put A Smile Upon Your Face song Chris: "God give me 20.000 Dutch people in the same place" was echt prachtig! :D

@TehM1ZZL3: So were you sitting next to me or not XD?
So, time for my review of an amazing night in Rotterdam.
We arrived pretty early, around 3.30 pm at Ahoy. After scoring some food at the local AH (what a HUGE shopping mall btw) we lined up in the queue. It was about this long by the time we arrived:
http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/6716/imag0117hj.jpg
The wait took forever and it was freezing cold because of the wind. Also the (heavy) rain was a bummer. But even the tough conditions the atmosphere was good. I saw a scooter guy arrive because someone ordered a pizza. What a hero. The doors opened almost on time, around 6.40 pm.
We ran in to the arena and got a front row spot at the 'B-stage'. Not long after that Emeli Sande started and she did a great job opening. Definitely had worser support acts.
Coldplay came on around 9.15. The moment Mylo Xyloto started all of our Glowbands were turned on and it was an amazing sight. The sound during Hurts Like Heaven was poor from were we stood. But the visuals, light and of course seeing the band again made up for that. I was happily surprised that the balloons were back during Yellow. They really belong to that song and not Lost!. During In My Place I was taking pictures of the confetti when suddenly, for my feeling out of nowhere, Jonny and later Chris were at 'our' stage. We went crazy. It was great.

Before Major Minus spoke some Dutch to us and held he's usual speech. Although I'm not a big fan of the song the crowd went really crazy on this one. Also amazing: Violet Hill. Man, I fell in love all over again with that song. On GPASUYF I kept jumping and screaming until I was totally out of breath. How awesome was that. Short after that Chris appeared on the B stage to do Up In Flames and it was absolutely magical to see him 1 meter away from you. This is the short clip I shot:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCjI7dG69eo&list=UUXcAhkk4f8Z97ei0EynHC-A&index=1&feature=plcp
Was very happy they play Us Against The World again instead of Till Kingdom Come. The 'fuck up' was very funny. We all screamed so loud Chris and Will started laughing the moment Will jumped in the song.
My vids of UATW:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=831fJdQcK2Y&feature=plcp&context=C30405abUDOEgsToPDskIWqxOzWK3kymb3cZ6uXVCt
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gN5Y6dbS6aI&feature=plcp&context=C3c738b1UDOEgsToPDskIaIDHY3v0MU5yt1Vqfadnq
The best part of the show was definitely the Politik-Viva La Vida-Charlie Brown part. Three of my favorite live songs and what a great performance. Chris didn't sound very good on Viva, but in my opinion he never really does. It was awesome that he came so close to us again and the moment the glow bands went on again for Charlie Brown was breathtaking. Charlie Brown was my highlight of the evening btw. What an energy during that song!
See here how close Chris comes during Viva and see the glowbands being turned on:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iepDnIN3Diw&feature=plcp&context=C35abccfUDOEgsToPDskKic2jRXimw0EE5AoGWZMPX
The encore was as expected with Clocks, Fix You and ETIAW. Also Chris did White Christmas again, which disappointed me because I'd hoped for Christmas Lights.
Afterwards I was mind blown. Again. And this was my third time seeing them live. It was amazing. Again. I was very pleased that I could buy the tour program that I so desperately wanted. It's really beautiful. Today my voice is gone because of all the singing and screaming, my legs hurts but I'm still in a kind of graffiti heaven. So happy I was there and can't wait to seeing them again in september. Pff, so far away..

Yes I got that note with merry christmas! It's in german haha but I don't mind. Nice you got a setlist too! You are the girl who was standing behind/next to me right?

Wow, I was astounded by how they played and if you say this was the best of the others you've been at Nijmegen and Pinkpop then I know I've experienced something special! It was really my first concert I've been to in my life... and now I believe it can't be better! Ahoy is not too big at Malieveld I think you will see less because you are all standing.. just wait till they come back in a (few) years! :)

@R23 Wow, you were really close to us! Were you in the group of four boys of which two had checkered(geruite) shirts(bloezen) or in the group of three of which one was a blond girl with a white shirt and the two others were boys? Or neither? :P I was just behind them, short black hair and a green hoodie and a black Mylo Xyloto t-shirt.
It was so cool when they came to the X-stage, it was just so close :D I also got a tour book but I don't have a xyloband, we were too rushed to see they were handing them out.

It was great, the crowd was amazing. I was one of the first 10 so I got to test the glowbands^^ Had a brilliant time with Tash and Stefan and some other people. Although I really would've LOVED to see the soundcheck so much, but it doesn't matter much cause we had a great time and indeed saw Chris and Will and it's really great to see them just being casual, doing their thing before the concert. I think maybe they didn't play christmas lights because they didn't soundcheck and maybe they would've practiced it then otherwise. I did find it a bit short, but it was great anyway, I just hope the setlist is longer in the summer tour.
But the glowbands were great, and the confetti aswell (although nothing beats the butterflies ;)) and I brought quite a lot of confetti home with me, and UATW was utterly brilliant, I love it when the crowd manages to surprise the band, even if it's used to a lot ^^

It's pretty stupid actually. Why play a cover if you have your own, great, Christmas song? It was on the setlist btw, I met a guy afterwards at the merchandising stand who had the setlist. He told me they didn't play it because they didn't have enough time left. A shame though.

9:45?! That's early! (:
My complete opinion. It was my very first time to see Coldplay live. I was so excited! I arrived at Ahoy at 1:00 P.M It was so cold, so cold. I have waited with lot of other Coldplayers till 6:30 P.M. When the doors opened we ran to the stage. I was right in front of the stage at the right side (the side where Guy was standing :) ) When they began to play with MX... Oh my god. That feeling was awesome. I was the happiest guy on this planet. I have enjoyed their concert so much. I love this band even more after last night. I'm so sure I'll be listening to Coldplay for the rest of my life. Can't wait till the 6th of September to see them again. Chris, Johnny, Guy & Will... You are legends!
9:45?! That's early! (:

I had two older men on my right side, but they both sang along loudly as well. The people in front of me were jealous of the Mylobands, because they turned up late. I think after the sterility of the crowd at the 02 gig in London I may have to get myself around to European gigs to enjoy a bit of atmosphere (as well as meeting old friends and enjoying different cultures) :)

Thanks for the pics! That's a very good review too. OOR likes to bash Coldplay but this time they simply couldn't. It's a little cynical still, but the only thing they truly complained about were Chris's vocals during Viva La Vida.
I'm spending half my day on this thread, thanks everyone!

Just read the OOR review, I think the reason why the setlist is just getting smaller is because of Chris voice. Shiver (with it's high notes) could have ruined it more... Of course I'm not sure, but it can be... (I didn't hear Chris couldn't sing VLV any more, the ohohoh was so huge!)

I was also thinking about this... Kinda worries me, how are they gonna pull off the big shows coming up next year if Chris' voice can't fully go trough a 85 minute set?
Show was amazing anyway, the fact that the audience was louder than Chris sometimes made me feel like all of us (crowd+band) were doing the performance together.

I really don't think Chris's voice is getting weaker yet. He's never been a pitch perfect singer, but if he has a good day, he can be. I think he's at the top of his game, to be honest.

I agree with you.. I think they can manage a 2 hour show.
I don't want to spoiler the Mylo Program, but with the Guy interview he said that they could play longer, but that they don't do that because I quote:
"We've never been fans of concerts that were too long and I'd rather people went away feeling that they wanted a bit more rather than feeling that they'd seen a bit too much. So I think it is important to keep it short and sweet."

This is actually a good point, but I think nobody would mind if they play too much, I mean everybody at a Coldplay concert pays to see them as long as possible don't they? For festivals they can play short setlists but not for their own concerts!
As for Chris' voice, I think Chris's voice is really the best now of all time, he really sings very well. He just sometimes can't hit the notes because he's just jumping a little to much in my opinion!:D
Listen to this performance of VLV , then compare it to now. His voice is much better and more powerfull now then it was back in 2008

It's a good point, but like you said the fans wouldnt mind hearing more!
I really miss LIJ, Strawberry Swing, DAAHF, Trouble, but mostly Don't Panic!
And I don't mind them dropping them in favor of Lost! or In My Place (sorry for the people who like those songs)
But come on! 90 minutes is nothing compared to the Coldplay catalogue..
There are over 50 albumsongs now. Either add more songs or be creative with the setlist. Because I really would hate it if I would see exactly the same setlist this september!
Would be pretty upset:cry:

Yes indeed, for example I was at the concert of White Lies (Tilburg) 2 weeks ago and they have 2 albums they played 17 full songs, Coldplay has 5!! and they play 18! (not countig MX/White Christmas) and it's also half the price more! (Although that isn't the major issue, the show is better)

And about Coldplay... it was the best I've ever seen. I have to admit I cried a few times because it was so overwhelming with the Xylobands and the confetti and I just get emotional with some of their songs. I've seen them on Rock Werchter earlier this year and I thought a concert couldn't be better, but they definitely proved me wrong.
Still doubting about the concert in Den Haag, because I'm not a fan of the location... My friends and I are thinking of going to London or Paris

Actually I was standing next to 2 girls who didn't even know the songs?
I heard one of them say after like... 5 or 6 songs: "Oh! You should know this one!"
And they were talking loudly to each other the WHOLE fucking time and now I regret I didn't say something about it to them. Aww well...
I've read the reviews on Antwerp, and some of them are talking about the magnificent concerts in earlier years (comparing to this one) and now I'm sad I discovered Coldplay kind of late... (I have to admit I wasn't a fan of them in the beginning, but suddenly there was a major switch haha)
@R23: Yes, the pizza was delicious!
The night had something magical. I'd like to believe the band felt it too. It really felt like the whole Ahoy was packed with (die hard) fans. I'd love to. It's my dream to be front row... But I'm probably going with more people who don't want to go that early. Oh well, nine months left to persuade them. :wink3:
Such a shame you can't go Harja!
I often don't get it why people spend 66 euro's to see Coldplay and then just stand still without even attempting to sing along or move along.
Me neither. Probably just to be able to show how cool they are on Facebook.
And yes, a lot of people sang along to UATW, and even Up In Flames!
The night had something magical. I'd like to believe the band felt it too. It really felt like the whole Ahoy was packed with (die hard) fans. You just know that the Malieveld show will not be as this one because you know of all the 'casual' listeners that are coming. I guess is up to us who were at Ahoy to 'steal' the front row places and relive last Saturday!
Yeah, they must have felt it too! Now where's that R42 blog? :P
I just hope the Malieveld won't be a Goffertpark #2. It's not sold out yet, is it?
I'm also dying for that new blog! He must mention this show, haha!

Ooh, you mean that, yes I've heard that (:
Was that the part where Chris tried to wish the DJ's good luck? I heard it this afternoon on SR. Hilarious!

Yay!
I’ve got to be honest, I was expecting the Rotterdam audience to be somewhat - um, “laid back” I guess is the right phrase. It just goes to show that you never can tell…
Why's that?:inquisitive:
Yay!

The 2009 Goffertpark gigs I suppose... From what I've heard the Viva gig in Ahoy was pretty awesome (wasn't there so I'm not sure).
