okay so i've had the song on my player, playing non-stop for two days, praying to god, forcing myself to like it and searching for something interesting and i'm sorry but i'm incomprehensibly disappointed and annoyed. i expressed my rage yesterday a few hours after the release but i thought maybe i'm wrong, maybe i've lost my senses. cuz a lot of people here think if u have the slightest of criticism for the band ur a disgrace to humanity. but no. and a big capital NO. i certainly haven't lost my mind. because right after listening to para-para and ETIAW for hours and hours i paused for a moment, played warning sign, then spies, then fix you, then 42 and i thought well hold on a second i still believe these song are remarkably brilliant and i still love them and so does the rest of the world so no there aint anything wrong with me for sure.
i've watched this band grow as i have and i always say viva was as far an evolution as they should have perused. anything beyond that and your coldplay equation is either missing something or producing the wrong results.
and by the way this is my longest post ever about coldplay in 10 years and certainly on colpldaying. i usually dont have time to come on here and post very often but now i feel the need to somehow!
anyway my rant is over and you can shoot me for it

I respect your opinion and all, but you don't need to make a whole new thread to say that you personally don't like Paradise. If you haven't noticed, their sort of all over the place right now lol...

One more will hardly make a difference..:|

it will be weird reading these treads in like 5 years..

I know one more won't make a difference, but I mean all of these stupid threads where the main idea of the thread is someones personal opinion. Just go discuss it in already existing threads...

It was some kind of sarcasm

This post made me realize that maybe this forum will have to accept that maybe not everyone can like EVERY Coldplay song as they are now jumping styles like crazy, so isnīt it kinda normal that some might not dig the new songs as they are SO different from songs in the past? Maybe we have been putting Coldplay in a box, but they are bigger than that and can actually make a wider variety of music than we thought possible

Gosh... all the madness that occurs only because of a Song is really annoying.
I see like 1 Million Threads about how bad Coldplay has become.
Coldplay changed their style some like it some dont...
Just get over it.

Ah but what about if they did not change their style? They just added new styles? :) Maybe that thought is more palatable to some? I think it might be closer to the truth.

well i've got over it already since this is what everyone wants; to "get over it"! but this album is like a title decider at the end of a league. their future is dictated by how they perform. no doubt it'll be a huge hit with millions, just like lady gaga's albums are. whether its going to be worthy enough of our listening time is another thing

It wonīt be like Gagaīs (which I did like btw but itīs the same kind of song throughout). It will be much more varied. You will see. I got a good feeling about this ;)

I will still give the album a try, but I have been dissapointed with coldplay since the last album and their awful performance at Barcelona.

Yes I am crazed, and been waiting all this time for a personal apolgy

Start listening to Noel Gallagher, no disapoints here

But back to coldplay, man...its just a phase  i like their new songs, but yes, i prefer the oldschool ones. But im sure they will have other different phases.

Thats why Oasis is my favorite band, they "live forever", they dont change, and they don't care about anything. I know they are separated, but they still rule. Ok sorry about off topic.

Yeah Noel admitted that he loves his comfort zone ! hehe I love his new material by the way and will go see him live for sure. I like the fact that Noel and Coldplay are now linked by the wheel breaking the butterfly thing hehe

Erhm, your post would be so much more readable if you would use punctuation.

I actually like Major Minus in both versions, even though initially I was put off by the studio one and the distortions, but I think the studio one will fit nicely in the album as those background distorted noises really add to the paranoia of the lyrics, whereas the live version will be most enjoyable as a stand-alone track or in the live set

I missed talking a bout the other tracks!
I almost forgot that I had the time of my live during charlie brown at pinkpop :nice:

In an intervieuw they said that this album will have massive (over)produced tracks and ones where you could hear hands moving on the guitar.
I'm keeping hopes up
