If it replaces Shiver I'll be a little disappointed. I will thank the gods if it replaces In My Place.
But I doubt it'll replace it. They might play it for a couple of shows, but I don't think it'll be a permanent addition to the setlist. For the festivals, at least.

Troll?! Seriously something will have to go to make way for it (if in fact it does go on the setlist, which I sure hope it doesn't).

Sure it will, and that's great, because people will love the song and imagine the crowd screaming para-para-paradise. Perfect concert song!

Are you serious? I mean, it's the second single of their new album. There's just no way to not put it on the setlist. And believe, people who were no big Coldplay fans so far will be. And most old fans like it, too. I'm superexcited for the first live performance ;) Maybe wait for it before judging?
In My Place will stay there I think for a long time, it's one of their best stadium songs.

Yeah true that would be alright! But gotta admit it'll be pretty shattering having some old classics replaced.

NOTHING CAN REPLACE IMP
LocoMH

I agree on that. But hey, in my opinion any song that goes off the setlist is a sad thing - but some will have to. Unfortunately. They're just making too good music :(

True that! Charlie Brown, HLH etc. = Much more awesomeness!

I dont think they will replace In My Place, but i think they probably should. Theyve actually been playing it in practically the same form for over 10 years now and despite what a great song it is, it does sound quite repetative when you listen to their shows or have been to see them 3 times or more.
It would make sense to me to do it, for the rest of this year because then they could bring it back on tour next year, when ROBTTH has its tenth anniversary, and still keep things fresh.

It's going to be a tour for the Mylo Xyloto album. Of course It will be heavily weighted towards that with at least nine songs being played from it.

They've changed up IMP every time they play it...in this tour Jonny does a lot of new stuff on the guitar for it.
That said, I wouldn't mind seeing Paradise replace IMP for one or two years and then IMP will seem fresh and nostalgic as you said.

If they drop a song it will be either Shiver or Everything is not Lost. I hope they take off the second, it doesn't work live in 2011.

wtf? Lost is AMAZING live. The arena was literally RUMBLING when it was playing. The biggest mistake would be to cut it off. Seriously.

Agreed, if any song should be dropped it should be that crappy 'Life is for living' song, but with any luck that was just part of the set list for the festivals.
I hope they burn it... and if they put it on the set list, I will go to a gig and bring all the rotten eggs, with my sh´t, and whatever else I can produce, and throw it at chris for playing such crap... and requesting my near 100 euros back.

Speed of Sound...i would die to see that live. Im going to rock in rio 10/01... But no chances for speed of sound :( but im good with Violet Hill and Fix You already x)

I wish I could have seen them during the X&Y era...like I was supposed to...
Yes.. Violet Hill is one of my best ever coldplay songs.. its dark and moody ! and sounds like a cross between them and the Stone Roses..
Pity they ruined it for me when they came to Barcelona...
back to topic.
I will not spoil myself, by checking the set list before I go to their concerts, and this will be on the set list. I just sincerly hope it does not be a part of the on core.. near the end, if so I will make it my cue to make and early exit !

I think that Everything's Not Lost should be dropped. It is too slow and long. And boring after a while...

As much as I feel minor dislike for In My Place, it will always be a staple song in the setlist. Shiver, not so much, that only came back recently.
I would cry with happiness.Me too, but then again, only them playing both Talk and White Shadows would do that already.

For me the less X&Y and Parachutes songs, the better. I love In My Place, the sing along is amazing, and the guitar riff is awesome, they will never take that out.
