When maladroit came out it just blew me away i like that song take control

Weezer's Green Day
Fans of both Weezer and Green Day have cause to celebrate. According to Rolling Stone, Rivers and the boys will contribute a cover version of Green Day's "Worry Rock" for an upcoming tribute album. "A Different Shade of Green" is set for July 22nd release date courtesy of Skunk Ape Records.

In other Green Day news, drummer Tré Cool will give the bone fragment removed from his knee to the person who posts the "coolest haiku" on the GreenDay.net message board.

Weezer....ahh, I love them. :nice: They are one of the first bands that I am really into along with Blur, Radiohead, and Oasis back in mid-90s. :)

On 25 June 2007 Rivers Cuomo confirmed that a sixth album is due out in early 2008 with this weezer.com post:

actually there have been news of a new album in 2008. they never really officially split i think..it was like a break..

Weezer's Rivers Cuomo is to release a collection of demos, which includes songs from his unfinished rock musical 'Songs From The Black Hole' as well as other never heard before tracks and cover versions.

The eighteen track compilation 'Alone - The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo' is as Rivers Cuomos says: "a CD of my favorite home demos from ’92 to ’07."

'Alone...' is to be released through Geffen on February 4, 2008.

Anyone heard the 8 songs that leaked from their new album? A lot of people seem to be hating on them, but I think they're insanely fun or wonderful. "Heart Songs" is adorable and "The Greatest Man To Ever Live" is like Queen on steroids - which you know can't go wrong.

Oh man... I love Weezer. They are in my top 5 favorite bands ever. Coldplay is in there too obviously, haha.

I have the Red Album right here. And it's awesome IMO. Very different than their usual affair.

This song is the closer to the album "The Angel and The One" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbmTU1r_MoQ) and I think it's one of their best songs lyrically in a long long time.

yeah i kinda agree. the red album has a some really great songs, but i just don't like it that much. it was really disappointing. i used to think make believe sucked but then one time i listened to it again and i was like oh wow this is really good!!

the blue album is one of the greatest albums of all time!!!!
