How can cold water make it worse??

Sternly
19-02-2004, 08:17 PM
WELL IF YOU ARE CONSTANTLY POURING COLD WATER IT'S GOOD BUT WHEN YOU ARE FOR JUSTA BIT THEN YOU HAVE THAT FRESH SENSATION AND THEN THE SUN STARTS TO BUN YOU (CAUSE IT REACTS LIKE 'FASTER' WITH THE WATER) AND THEN YOU GET HOTTER AND HOTTER AND HOTTER (OTHER WORDS... WHEN YOU ARE LIKE HOT AND THE SUN IS EVEN HOTTER YOU FEEL IT LESS THAN WHEN YOU ARE COLD AND OUTSIDE IS HOT, HOT, HOT!)

el_scorcho
19-02-2004, 08:18 PM
Oh yeah, I didn't think of that :P That's why when I have a fever my mom says to take a hot bath because it feels hot when you're in it but when you get out, it cools you down. :)

*is extremely insulted that people are dissing McDonald's*

Typical. The food tastes extremely good! I eat at McDonald's about once every two months, about, and I LOVE IT! I always get a Big Mac...mmm...with Hi-C or root beer...mmm...and most of all, fries!!

Actually, McDonald's beef supposedly has to meet strict criteria.

Don't ask me to define strict, I'm not dead yet, so how bad can it be?

Hey! I've got 100 posts and a new rank! This calls for an avatar change...

rf_ucsd
21-02-2004, 06:13 AM
My life is usually pretty mundane (the world of a programmer), but riding the bus for the last month, I feel like I see something either amazing or thought provoking everyday ...

Mostly, I find something thought provoking everyday. Humanity is a beautiful and varying thing.

soleil
21-02-2004, 06:18 AM
Well, I guess it's because you take time to think and analyze it all.. I'm more of a I've got to get here... get this done.. what's next, so I don't pay as much attention to it.

rf_ucsd
21-02-2004, 06:19 AM
I guess that's a possibility ... yeah.

soleil
21-02-2004, 06:21 AM
What has been your latest discovery?

rf_ucsd
21-02-2004, 06:23 AM
That a pair of eyes are a piece of art.

soleil
21-02-2004, 06:26 AM
What happened that made you discover this?

rf_ucsd
21-02-2004, 06:28 AM
I think I was just on the bus with my headphones on and I started looking into peoples' eyes and trying to see if they told me anything about their lives ... and they kind of did. A lot of emotion is cast in your eyes. You can see if somebody's mind is "looking" forward, backwards, or staying in the moment. You can see if they're daydreaming. You can see if they're scared.

I started thinking about an art exhibit that was nothing but sets of eyes showing these emotions.

But it was nobody in particular that set me off. Sometimes I think of weirder, less abstract things, like smells or poverty.

soleil
21-02-2004, 06:34 AM
See for that same reason that you explained above is why this message board stuff is kind of strange to me.. Since you can see so much in someone's eyes, it tells you part of their emotions.. and you lose that here. Sometimes, the things that seem insignificant can actually be really important.
You like visiting art exhibits? Cool. Me too.

Smells? Like what?
Smells a lot of the time are linked to memories..

rf_ucsd
21-02-2004, 06:42 AM
I know nothing about art, but I love exhibits ... I love trying to put myself in the artist's place and trying to decipher the intent.

The smells of the bus are really, really bad. Cigarettes, alcohol, trash, and sweat. Basically, they're the smells of poverty.

soleil
21-02-2004, 06:49 AM
What I like about art is that you can interpret in any way you want. But I have found it helpful sometimes to have have taken an art history class. Sometimes it's easier if you know the history behind it. Then it makes more sense. Especially for artists like Miro and the like.

rf_ucsd
21-02-2004, 06:50 AM
Well, you and I will have to go to an exhibit sometimes. I'm sure you'd have a lot of cool stuff to share.

soleil
21-02-2004, 06:52 AM

I don't particularly like the modern museum.

rf_ucsd
21-02-2004, 06:54 AM

I'm gonna make myself a T-shirt.

I'd make one for you, but I'd be embarassed to order a XS.

Order it anyways. :smug:

No thank you. I don't want you to wear a T-Shirt saying "Gaby's Stalker."

Yeah, I guess I don't want to either.

But it could just say, 'Stalker'. ;)

Made me feel like an idiot asking for it.
How do you even buy clothes?

22-02-2004, 04:19 AM
this thread..

I don't wear XS. I haven't fit into that size since who know when.. since I was a teenager. I wear a medium usually. I have broader shoulders so no way can I fit into an XS.

rf_ucsd
22-02-2004, 04:24 AM
 @ teenager.
Nice line.

Broad shoulders? Uh-huh. Right.

soleil
22-02-2004, 04:30 AM

No really, when I try an XS, the shoulders don't fit right 'cause it's too small!!

the best thing there is to get:
a McFlurry with CHOCOLATE ice cream not vanilla
well if you like chocolate anyway
and then oreo's in it
mm so good

rf_ucsd
22-02-2004, 10:42 PM
Hmmmm ... how much do those things cost?

mycdplayerisbroke
22-02-2004, 10:46 PM
a rip off like $3.00 - 4.00
but asking for chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla is free!
woop woop

rf_ucsd
22-02-2004, 10:47 PM
Yeah, that's too much. There's a McDonald's down the street I never go to, but I was goign to take some change and get one it it was around $2 ... which it's not.

mycdplayerisbroke
22-02-2004, 10:50 PM
well with tax and everything its like 3 bucks
do you need me to send you some $$$ through paypal?

rf_ucsd
22-02-2004, 10:53 PM
I have enough people doing that.
But I just didn't feel like spending >$2 there when I could just get a milkshake for less.
Apparently, milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard.
I wish I knew what the inverse of a milkshake was: maybe it would attract women.

mycdplayerisbroke
22-02-2004, 10:54 PM

yeah but milkshakes are so boring
unless you can add oreos to them some how that would be pretty sweet

rf_ucsd
22-02-2004, 10:58 PM
Arby's used to have milkshakes like that. You had your choice of adding Oreos, Butterfingers, Reeses cups or Snickers.

mycdplayerisbroke
22-02-2004, 10:59 PM
ah that sounds so good
arbys has frosties dont they?

I really don't freak over health issues, I just don't pig out on junk food. I really like eating healthy stuff, I mean I'm all for organic stuff, as long as it's still tasty. Part of it is also that I sort of want to outlive most of my relatives. I can take despair myself, but I can't bear to see others that way.

And being out of shape hinders your life in certain ways... :wink3:
