There is a Sky One Drama Ad with Charlie Brown on Tv At The Moment.
Don't know If there is a youtube of it
With Lyrics and Everything.... keep an eye out.

Nah, Charlie Brown and Paradise are registered as separate songs on all those databases. Also, it was pretty obvious Charlie Brown was going to be on the album anyway.

this reminds me of when fix you's first exposure in the states was at the end of a tv teenage drama called 'the oc'. i listened to a 1-minute long mp3 someone ripped over and over again, and had distinguish between the song and the sound of someone passing out/falling/dying in a swimming pool on the program. luckily their snl appearance soon followed.

charlie brown sounds great, even with the canons.

There are two moments that absolutely cemented me as a Coldplay fan -- and one of them was from hearing "Fix You" on The OC. I just downloaded all their albums straight afterward and my love for them just continued to grow and grow and grow.

Thankful for that. Immensely.

Wow, the piano outro was indeed for Charlie Brown, except in the studio version it's played immediately after rather than that long wait in the live version. They haven't gone overboard on the voice effects either, I'm impressed.

I think only Sky have it at the moment. The only channels that have used the song so far is Sky One and Sky Sports. Even so, there must be enough people who work at Sky who have access to the song that makes a leak plausible.

You've just crossfaded the songs, you can do that with any 2 songs and the majority of the time it sounds like they're supposed to be together. I don't think the guitar effect sounds anything like the start of Charlie Brown. One sound is a guitar effect, the other is sped up vocals, there's a big difference.

Also, if it is intended to put Hurts Like Heaven and Charlie Brown together, then why are the band considering leaving HLH off the album? If they've gone to the trouble of matching the sounds effects in the 2 songs then they must be certain that both songs will make the album.

Any similarities are coincidences I reckon.

Anyway, I think they've never considered leaving HLH off. It's misunderstood or marketing or a lie, whatever, but it feels like Hurts Like Heaven holds the spirit of Mylo Xyloto. It is and it will be a madness even to consider letting it off.

You know it's a studio version because it sounds clean. It's not like a live version where everythings crammed together. The piano throws me off though, it sounds like the beginning of LIFL when it's played live.

Hey guys, this is my first time posting but I've been using the site for ages. I figured the first thing I should write should be a big one - and I realise for now I cannot prove what I say, you'll just have to try for yourself.

Was watching Sky One just now (12.00 exactly UK time), and on one of their preview adverts (I saw the programme Treasure Island on it) they actually played a short clip of the recorded studio version of Charlie Brown. And it sounds awesome, I have to say.

As I say, I can't prove it because it was over too quick - but it definitely happened!

Hope someone verifies this so I don't look stupid haha

Agreed, to me, leaving it out now would feel like leaving out Viva, Fix You or Yellow. I'd be a little disappointed no matter how good the show was.

Rather interesting to see more Coldplay songs being used in sporting events, though.
