I wouldn't be surprised if the band announce something during a bit of down time soon (I don't know when they have the most time off between dates), but I expect they'll put out all the details incrementally. No reason to announce the tracklisting two months before release. Which doesn't mean they couldn't, it just means there is no real incentive for them do that.

I bet they'll sort of slowly build buzz for it and then one day they'll spill as much as they can without putting it on shelves near you.

But who knows.

I agree with your logic but not your statement. True, there is no reason to tell us now. Except for the fact that they've told us hardly anything and we're losing our minds. But on a more serious note. Why not two months before? If you recall, they told us the tracklist of VlVoDaAHF on April 10th-11th, which was a little over two months before the album came out in mid June. With that in mind, I don't see why they wouldn't. :thinking: They must know by now that our lives practically revolve around Coldplay. :lol:

Apparently the album will be released on October 24th in the UK. I read somewhere that this is the week after Noel Gallagher's new album comes out so there will be competition. Having said that, I'm confident that Coldplay's new album will be more successful than Noel Gallagher's release.

EMI doesn't necessarily matter, I doubt any band would want their albums to leak prior. I only say this because I remember some interview back when they started talking about keeping the material unavailable from everyone, even the boys themselves. I don't remember when it was, but I just remember them taking all these ridiculous precautions to try to prevent a leak.

That's obviously an exaggeration, but I'm doubting any news. My feeling is that it's like watching a clock - time goes by much slower when you count the seconds and much faster when you don't. It's all perspective, but I'll be happy to wake up one day (soon - a relative term) and find a nice big announcement. :)

Chris has been known to be very unreliable during interviews. In one interview he said that it would be an acoustic album and then denied it later. Then he said it would be a concept album but in the next interview he did he admitted he didn't have a clue what he was talking about and it isn't a concept album at all.

And bear in mind when it comes down to announcements, EMI have to agree to it. It isn't totally in the hands of the band.

I know full well what's happening, thanks. There's riots in London cuz a police officer shot a guy named Mark Duggan. Obviously I don't think that the riots are because of Coldplay nor did I say that, so I don't know where that clueless thought came from. And oh sorry I though Coldplay came from Yugoslavia, guess I was wrong. What I was saying is I don't think that these riots will have anything to do with when they announce they're album. Well no, announcing the album doesn't have anything to do with the riots, but from what I've heard the rioting has spread near Camden (which is obviously where the Bakery/Beehive is) so the fact that it may not be safe to venture out to the studio may delay them from making the finishing touches and thereby giving us an announcement :shrug:
