I think I have some variant of that keyboard. Xylo is short for xylophone, just like org is for organ.

Hahaha, but it's different from a Xylophone...Xylophones have a glass ringing tone to them...the "Xylo" doesn't, rather something that sounds...woodish :confused:

Well, ACTUALLY, the original xylophone consists of wooden bars, its from greek, xylo = wood, phone = sound.

I'm not sure but I strongly believe that the chromed version is a variant only used for certain circumstances, orchestras for an exemple.

ADD: If we gotta look for something to find out let's chase the "Mylo" thing, it is pretty clear to me that Xylo brings Xylophone. About the "xyloTO" I don't know what to say...

Very true. Cause in my schools band room we have like...3. 1 big wooden one, 1 big chrome, and one small chrome. But I never new that!
