One of my friends won't be able to make the show after all so I am selling 1 floor ticket. The seat is practically dead center (Section 303, Row 1, Seat 12) so you'll definitely have a great/full view of the stage. If you go to subhub and hover over certain sections, section 11 isn't selling tickets, and I feel that is where the free ticket people will sit. There are other sections that state NO tickets, but the seats are closer to the stage they are most likley already been sold, but I can't imagine sec. 11 being sold out, I could be wrong:\

Input from any gentlemen (or ladies) that have the VIP tickets would be greatly appreciated. My fiancee already has her entire outfit picked out and I'm at a total loss, so I thought asking on here couldn't hurt. You shouldn't have to buy a ticket that is free. :\ I don't even really know how that would work if that person won the tickets under their name. :\ But you say that person entered your mom's info?

Just keep trying at random times throughout the day...usually mornings around 10am works...but sometimes it's just some random time. Good luck! :)

All I know about the tickets ai this.
The printed ticket must have your name on it, if your Moms name is on it then she must go to the ticket line with a valid ID to match the ticket. You will not be able to use your Moms Id.
I so hate saying that, but iduran is right, you shouldn't have paid for the free tickets, can't you Mom go with you???? Please go to the Summer Krush website and try to win tickets, most everyone on here has had luck with winning, a few pages back tell you exactly what you need to do to win.

VIP WEAR....... I would dress according to how your girlfriend is dressing, if she's wearing a skirt then black pants and a shirt to match is fine. Wearing jeans and a dressy shirt always looks good on guy's!!!!

On that note, I still have no idea what to wear, and coming from Florida being sooooo Hot, I don't know if Cali weather will feel cool to me compared to those of you who live there, LOL decisions, decisions!!!!

I work with artist's that come thru a venue, I take care of the different wants and needs of the band members and the singer, and I know any tickets won or the bands guest lists already have printed tickets out, so I don't believe there is a first come first serve. Your ticket might even already have your name and seat# and tucked into an envelope by now.:)

This is my first Coldplay concert... but am still not sure of the details... The show starts at 8 and the doors open at 6:30? If I already bought tickets should I still get there when doors open? Any other advice for first time concert goer?

@MartinFan It's hot here! My high for today is 95 degrees and at night 67...but Los Angeles might be a little bit different. Hmm..well I'm only an hour away. :P However, I think Florida is more humid and still around the same temperature as here so it might not feel as hot for you here. Either way...I think you should wear something that you would feel cool in. I don't think you have to worry about it being cold here. :lol:

Edit: okay so I looked up the expected weather for the day.
Los Angeles:High 81°F,Overnight Low 64°F.

First off when you printed your tickets out it has to be the same person who collects the tickets day of show, if you have a valid Id, drivers licence, or Birth certificate . Most people are taking their birth cert.

Parts of the show are going to be filmed for Jimmy Kimmel Live, a late night talk show and the tickets to taping of any type of show like that (Jay Leno, David Letterman) are given away, for free. I went to a taping of American Idol a few years back and the tickets were for free and I was simply a "space filler" because they didn't want any empty seats to show on camera.

This leads me to believe that the free tickets might have something to do with the taping of the show for T.V. Whether they are looking for seat fillers (which wouldn't make sense....all Coldplay shows always sell out) or looking for a large group of people for another reason, I don't know, but I really believe there is some correlation between the free tickets and the T.V taping. Don't get me wrong, Coldplay is a great band, but this concert is a benefit concert, and I find it hard to believe they would give away (and lose hundreds of dollars in donations) just to be nice. There has to be some relation to the T.V taping.

Sec. 18 would make sense because from a T.V perspective, they would want it to look like the entire venue is filled up, which means filling up seats that have no view of the stage at all. I could be totally wrong, but it makes sense in my head that the free tickets have something to do with the T.V taping.

It is a bit something like that. I went to one of their shows last year, Kelly Clarkson was the performer and it was at Hollywood and Highland here in L.A., and there were two different tickets. One from them, and the other from 1iota, the company that handles Jimmy Kimmel audience members, I got tickets to both but decided to stick with Samsung. Bad call, we were sadly at the back and 1iota members got in first :cry:. So yeah, I'm sure it's for the TV. I think Coldplay will play two songs for the taping of the show or something of the likes. Personally though, I think the tickets will be in the GA area.

Section 18 on subhub wasn't there until recently, I think these are the 45.00 tickets, that were never released day of presale, there are about 30 something for sale mostly for 65.00.
Ticketmaster, yesterday had 45.00 tickets for sale, but you needed a promo code, not sure if they are still up, haven't check it today.
It's so funny to sit here and speculate each day, it's like we're all obsessed with Coldplay or something:lol:

I think the reason they extended the give-away is to fill up Sec. 18 ~which as of yesterday wasn't sold out.....It would definitely look weird on TV too if side shots of the band revealed empty seats.

Dianne, I certainly wouldn't sell those better seats of yours, I'd keep 'em until the free seat assignments are in your hands.;), then you can choose.

There is no age limit, according to someone in an earlier post, who emailed Summer Krush, just id. I think they're checking ids to prevent the sale of the free tickets. I've been to a few "ticketless" concerts lately where you have to show ids with tickets purchased from ticketmaster.

I'm just so excited. This might start to make up for that darn Tampa concert that I flew to, that was cancelled while I was In the air.

But now it will be a mini-Tampa, with Tracey and Kelly!

I'm pretty sure Coldplay as a Band get a substantial check in the hands of Phil Harvey for their show, it's set and money doesn't come from them to be donated to the foundation, they have nothing to do with that, they get paid for the appearence, if they as a band want to donate anything they will.

There is no age limit to the free tickets, they just need ID we already checked.

I hope everyone can meet up, I am so excited, I work today, have the weekend off, then work Monday, then It's me, my Mp3 player full of Coldplay, American Airlines, and my Roadie Book...:D

there's this sandwich place in westwood about a 5-10 minute walk from the tennis center called Fat Sal's. now.. when I first saw this place I completely disregarded it because it looked like the typical hole-in-the-wall shack that served borderline edible food. but, when i heard about the menu I was interested. their specialty is sandwiches. but these are not your typical sandwiches. my favorite is called the Fat Jerry and it has cheese steak, bacon, chicken fingers, french fries, mozzarella sticks, and a fried egg all on a grilled hero. okay, it might sound disgusting, but it is actually really, really good. it is a little pricey ($10 per sandwich ~8 in. long) but it is really good, and unique. and it is open until 2am!

but, if the concert ends moderately early (10ish) there are a lot of places to eat around westwood (BJ's, CA pizza kitchen, yamato to name a few).

I go to UCLA so i know :)

Thanks for the ideas though - sounds like we have some options then. I'd vote for any of those that are walkable... and I think part of it will depend on how many people are interested. Sounds like of those you mentioned, BJs would be the best for a large group as they can accommodate a lot of people with larger tables, etc.?

You're right. It's just I'm driving in from out of state and as much as I love Coldplay, I'll be a bit dissapointed if the seats are in that section.

Just to be sure, you should check the number on the barcode on each of the tickets to make sure they're different tickets and not just the one that you won the first time.

Yes, you can bet they're not flying coach! They'll be in those cool sleeper pods. We flew home from Tokyo 2 years ago, and it was so nice to be in business class. Definitely helped with jet lag to be able to sleep somewhat comfortably.

Hahaha. It's because of my iPhone. I'm never far from cp'ing.

This concert is extra special to me. During the VLV tour, I saw the first "real" show at the Forum. I saw a few more shows during the tour. Then the "miracle" happened and I won tickets to their show at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine - 10 minutes from my house (of course, I'd already bought tickets) but these tickets came with a meet and greet. Yes, I died. Lol Chris came over to say hi to my husband and me and then I saw Will and ditched Chris. Talking to Will, I died again. Amazing show, the pics are in the link in my sig. Then I decided that I needed to go to the very last VLV show in Tampa, 3 weeks later. I started hanging out on that board, "met" some awesome people AND had a ga pit ticket. I was set. Ticket and cp'er meetup, with Tracey, too. Then, when I was in the air, the concert was cancelled :(. I spent the day in Tampa with KSpillers2- Kelly, and 2 other fans. But no Coldplay. So this upcoming concert is the first time I will be seeing them since the night I met them. AND Tracey is coming to stay with me, and Kelly is coming too :)

I BOUGHT 2 of these Krush Priority Line (no idea the site even existed) tickets off a seemingly legitimate guy on CL. He e-mailed me the tickets (a printout actually) with my name of them. I also checked and confirmed that I was pre-registered through the site (he gave me a phone # and some funky e-mail address with my name in it to confirm). Now I'm reading these are non-transferable.

My question is if this guy did indeed win them (he might have said he got these from a Samsung employee-maybe those are transferable, no?), how was he able to transfer them so my name comes up on the ticket? If he had sold them to me with, say, his name on them then I would know I got burned. But my name is indeed on it so this "seems" legit.

I know I said a lot and if you've got this far I really appreciate it but can anyone ease my mind or did I get scammed?! THANKS!

Ohhh. I don't know. What do your tickets look like? Do they have a barcode with a 5 digit number and then a letter? The ones I won and printed out myself are blue tickets, but my name is in black. I hope you didn't get scammed :(

I have 1 excellent ticket for sale for face value. It's a floor seat in section 201, row 3, which is the third row behind the pit. I paid $170 including the fees, which is what I'll sell it for.

I am located about 1-2 miles from UCLA so I can meet near there or arrange a place that's convenient. I won tickets, so I no longer need this ticket and a guy who said he'd buy it dropped out.

That's a great seat, slightly better than mine which was in 201, row 3. I listed mine on Ebay for $20 above my cost in order to cover the Ebay and Paypal fees and it just sold, so you may have luck on there.

Mine was a hard ticket, but you can definitely sell pdf tickets (Ticketfast) on Ebay. That may actually make it more attractive to people due to the short time frame. If you're only looking to recover your costs, you can list for for about $190 or best offer. The shortest duration for doing the buy it now with best offer option type listings is 3 days, so it would cover you beyond the concert time. If not sold by like 5pm on Wednesday, you could cancel your listing and take a print out of the ticket to the venue to try to sell. In this case, I would also bring along a print out of your original email from Ticketmaster, so a buyer would fell more comfortable to it being legit. You could also email this Ticketmaster email to a buyer off Ebay. That's a great ticket, so you should be able to sell it and hopefully recover your entire cost. Good luck.

If I do find out that our free tickets are better than the ones I paid for, I'll try to sell them there, I suppose. If they don't sell, well, there is my donation to the Grammy Foundation.

At first, I was thinking of leaving at 2, but maybe we'll go up earlier...If we're there too early, we can just walk around the campus and Westwood. It will be Tracey, me, my 15 year old son Matt, and his friend Erin. My husband is coming later with our 12 year old daughter Robin and her friend. Her friend is flying home from a vacation and lands at LAX at 2. My husband is meeting her and her dad near the airport to pick her up.

A lot of us have won multiple pairs of tickets, including me. Some are taking friends, others are taking their kids and family. What if we don't get seated together? I mean I wouldn't mind, but it'd be even better if we were seated together. Does anyone have any information regarding this..?

I was thinking about this today, when remembering how damn annoying the balloons were at The Roundhouse.

I wish in intimate venues, they'd perform an intimate gig instead of trying to fit the same stage show made for huge festival shows into a tiny venue.

Like it would be lovely if they showed up to this tomorrow night with non of the bombast and a small string band and just played, rather than doing exactly the same show they're gonna do a few days later at Lolla, but on a smaller scale.

Guys, I emailed the summerkrush people and asked if my name was in the database for my priority seats I bought off ebay. I was told that it was not. I am currently seeking a refund. The ticket says "non-transferable" and Samsung told me when they scan the ticket, the name on the ticket must match what comes up on the scan (the name registered when the tickets were won). I am playing it safe and looking at other options. Email summerkrush2011@gmail.com and double check to see if your name is in their database.

On Ebay, it is primarily a seller called Doitbigtickets.com that is selling the Samsung tickets, and as of right now, looking at their completed items, they have sold 49 pairs of Coldplay tickets for this show, with 18 more listings still active. That's a total of 67 pairs that this guy supposedly has. They also are selling for other of the Samsung concerts in other cities. Maybe they just had incredible luck in winning this many pairs from the website, or they have some contact within the organization who is making these tickets available to them.

I really wonder what's going to happen to all of these people buying them, as I myself was panicked because when i won my pair, I had used the shortened version of my first name, when it says you have to have full legal name. They emailed back to me saying I should be ok, that what they really are after is people where the names are clearly different. I have a feeling that some people aren't going to get in with these tickets.

Does anybody know if Section 18 is really behind the stage as in the picture, or does it have a slight view of the stage? I was only able to get tickets in that section.

And if you got stadium tickets, it doesn't matter what time you get there right? Because they are secure seats that are bought and not like floor seats where it is first come first serve.

If you search the venue on Google Maps and zoom in with the satellite, you'll see that section 18 does not look to be in the back at all. If anything, it's much closer to where the stage will be. The only downside is that you'll probably not get a view of the drummer or the stage backdrop since it will be a side view.
