Every room had some kind of writing or recording setup on the go - you even had to time your use of the kettle carefully, as a laptop and speakers had been set up in the kitchen and Jonny was in there working on his epic lead for MTM. So, by comparison, the first few weeks of the year felt like a ghost town.

£1.49 for 3 tracks is a cracking deal even when one of them is the same one most of us already have. £1.49 you'd expect for 2 tracks so in effect we're getting ETIAW for relatively nothing... even though a lot of us really don't want it for the second time. Let's just say it ain't one of those 'it's so good I could buy it twice songs'. Far from it! Anyhow Major Minus is a proper fab tune and I'm sure Moving To Mars doesn't need too much effort to be better than ETIAW.

not at all, actually coldplay have said in twitter they are still writting new songs... they have played like 7 live, plus the 2 or three new songs from these EP , thats more than an album, or a really really long album, but i agree , i think MTM will be like 6 or 7 minutes long, hope they did what MGMT always does.... songs of 12 - 13 minutes.

I think that would be logical. If they would like to release the album two weeks later (great idea !), then they just would have put these songs on another disc, maybe deluxe or something. Or does EMI really need the money so much they would release an EP short before an album ?

EMI does need money, but it has been mysterious promotion anyway. So who knows? Maybe they decide next week to release the entire album :P

Please answer me, this is like my seventh question, and this time I'm sure it's not illogical.
I read that Major Minus is gonna be released as a B-side of ETIAW. I think that Major Minus is a beautiful song, and is a track that must be on the album. But I obviously know that B-sides are usually not included on other albums than special editions. Is it going to be included on the album?

You raise a good point. I must admit I thought the same as historically you're correct; b sides haven't appeared on the album.
All I can say is that there have been even more changes to how things (and what) are released since the last album so I wouldn't rule it out.
That said, I swear I don't know the final track listing of the album and as you already know what I am about to say... even if I did, I couldn't provide the definitive answer to your question.

Most of the common audio formats (like MP3) use lossy codecs (like LAME). They are not faithful reproductions of the original audio, because they remove parts of the audio in order to reduce the filesize, which ends up being 40% to 10% of the original uncompressed audio file. Lossless codecs (like FLAC) reduce the filesize in up to 50% without losing any quality.

i'm not sure why they keep giving us the lyrics before the music though. I mean I'm all good with it. [: But sometimes that's not always the best idea because sometimes the lyrics aren't among their best like with ETIAW. And I also noticed they've used the word heart in every single one of the new songs. Ye they never said that word even once in any of the older songs. I just think that's a weird thing of note. :)

don't be! We're being lumped in with Japan! :D They always get the albums first when they come out. Not just because of the time but two or three days before even the UK and US, they did with VlVADAAHF anyway. And. Whenever albums come out, like Parachutes and X&Y, Japan's been the only country to get bonus tracks included where other places in the world didn't. I think this is a potentially awesome thing for us! [:

And I could be overreacting a bit here but. There's nothing I don't love about this song and nothing I could possible add to make it any better. I love everything. The piano. The guitar. The bass. The drums. The violin. The deep baritone. The mid range. The falsetto. The Project Serpo deal at the end (which was a complete mind-blow for me they'd pull out an epic allusion like that). This song is just so damn beautiful I can't even adequately put it into words. I want to cry at every listen. I mean not even two weeks ago, could it be? I heard ETIAW and it's not dreadful but it was just kinda good/pretty good and I thought. Oh no! Could this be their 'jump the shark' moment? But it wasn't!! ETIAW sounded a decent bit better after a dozen listens. The live songs are all fantastic- especially Charlie Brown and Us Against the World. The Major Minus studio version I loved and was a great song. Definitely on par with what I'd expect from my favorite band. And then they pull this number out and wow! I love the Viva songs don't get me wrong. Many of them are incredible and behind ARBH it's my second favorite album. But as it stands this could be the best song I've ever heard. I mean behind Clocks, The Scientist, and maybe Talk as well. But still top 5. No lie! :D
