My idea of LP5 album artwork

Well, I was bored and thought it would be a good idea to make the album artwork for LP5. I presumed it's called Major Minus, but kept te .PSD file so that I can change it when I find out I'm wrong :P Used everything I've learned from studying graphic design.

At first I analyzed the style of the new album, and drew the conclusion that it's a mix up between white rose foundation and new york graffiti (concrete and rose references everywhere), so i mixed up those styles and the conclusion was this:

I really love the way 'Coldplay' looks :P

I've always pictured it in my head as a picture of a blank concrete wall with *album title* and 'Coldplay' spray painted over it graffiti-style

It's funny, because I hate the ETIAW cover...

...but I really love this. The only thing I would change is...the background color. It's a tad...yellow for my taste.

I had the same idea, but couldn't find any other color that didn't make the rose "drown" (if you see what I mean).

I've definitely considered that one to be a possibility, but I think it may have more to do with Hurts Like Heaven than the album as a whole. It kinda reminds me of a colorful version of the A Rush Of Blood artwork :P

This one was leaked as a potential possibility as well. But it was pulled at the last minute because Jonny's toe was run over by the Chrissorcycle on set.

Plus it was too similar to another album cover released this year and didn't want to deal with all that.

OP - I love it! It's got little elements of the roses, cartoon hearts, and Charlie Brown (because of the yellow).

And "rainbow chewie" would also be a really cool cover; AROBTTH is also what I thought of. As a poster said earlier, the rainbow circles would make a great backdrop.

I actually just saw the original pic and I liked it, but it didnt had those spiral white lines, I made those with a program i downloaded for Mac , I really don't know what is it called and I can't check it out cause I'm not I'm my house with my own computer , but it's like paint but with like a million extra tools , it's easy to use actually :) (not literally a million :)

Yes, it would be better in a more sophisticated design :lol: But I did it in 15 seconds, I hope they spend at least 20.
And yes, in spanish OVNI means UFO. The first time I forgot that OVNI is not the english word hahaha. I'd love if the word UFO is in the title. Or maybe the word "Ovni", since Coldplay already have an album with spanish title, and Chris's Gwyneth speaks it perfectly.

Your first attempts look good to me, though I preffer that they quit the graffiti-themed artwork. As you can see in my signature Coldplay album covers have been awesome so far, so I refuse to believe that LP5 is going to have a cover as grothesque as this:

I had this idea, I made it and kept the .PSD file. I used a lot of images by Coldplay and some not by Coldplay. When I find out that I'm wrong, I will made I fanmade single or compilation :D

Nice artwork!
I ran across something fascinating about the color Magenta, which appears in Coldplay's album artwork, always wondered why we perceived colours like Magenta and Brown, which don't seem to appear in the natural Spectrum. Brown is there actually as dark reds and such, but still a mystery to me as to how lower light affects color sensitivity in the eye, brain's interpretation, and where in all that does gray or white come about? The brain makes up the answer, deciding what to make of it perhaps...

I love this album style. So colourful and bright but at the same time... Not too complicated. Though, it would need something more to fit with the album like a rose or a fuzzy man or any other symbol which have been shown by CLDPLY

The real album/cover artwork will probably be like ETIAW/MM/MTM, so it will be plain ugly imho. I'm pretty sure most of the artwork posted here will be better/more beautiful than the real artwork.

ya that would be cool =D a holo-picture would do. solar panels are expensive and neither ecological nor economical. chris already had a bad conscience when releasing the balloons in the air at splendour in the grass :laugh3:

i bet the walking man will be on the cover.... but hopefully it will be something even more awesome....

I think it'd be cool if they did a standard and a deluxe version of the album (or something similar), with the standard version just being the walking man.... walking :) and the deluxe version being the walking man doing the crazy stuff as seen during Hurts Like Heaven...
