Dancing Days- Stone Temple Pilots (Led Zeppelin)

the coldplay and raidohead bond cover songs ruin the songs.

Maybe i'm biased cos i'ma huge bond fan, and the covers just make me cringe when i hear them

"Nobody Does it Better" by Radiohead (originally Carly Simon)
"Sloop John B" by the Beach Boys (originally a traditional folk song or something)
"She Don't Use Jelly" by Ben Folds Five (originally the Flaming Lips)
"Cortez the Killer" by Built to Spill (originally by Neil Young)
"All is Full of Love" by Death Cab For Cutie (originally by Bjork)

i know there HAS to be better ones out there but i can't think of any right now.

Marilyn Manson made a cover of Tainted Love, originally by Soft Cell. I like Manson, but the original is better.

oh man. this one makes me want to vomit with rage.

eddie vedder actually did a decent version of this song, though. ;)

speaking of beatles covers...

Grandaddy: "Revolution"
Gomez: "Getting Better"

all the rest of the beatles covers i've heard were either really bad or so similar to the original that they're not even worth mentioning...

i'm in full on "music snob" mode right now, if you hadn't picked that up. :P

I've learned yesterday that Ghetto Gospel is partially a cover of this Stevie's song. :shame:

Stevie Wonder - Pastime Paradise - YouTube

I've gotta listen to this album.

George Michael and Mary J. Blige did a pretty good cover of As, also from this album.
