Finally!

On June 28th 2011, the festival will find its new glory in Azaleadalen in Gothenburg. Coldplay is the first act to be confirmed so far. The rest of the artists will be announced within the next couple of weeks.

TICKETS
Tickets go on sale 7th February at 9:00 AM. Tickets can be bought from Ticnet at +46 (0)77-170 70 70 and www.ticnet.se. In Gothenburg, you can buy tickets at Bengans (Stigbergstorget 1) and Pusterviksbiljetter (Järntorgsgatan 12). Tickets purchased through Ticnet available for pickup at all ATG representative.

Festival ticket: 950 SEK + booking fee

EDIT: The main problem is getting from Poland to Arras. I think the easiest thing would be to fly back to London (or Lille or something) on the morning on the 1st and then take the train from there... I would like going to Gothenburg for the festival but as some of you already know (or not actually :wacky:) I'm visually handicaped so I'm not able to move alone.
I glanced at the flights and I could have a cheap one. I didn't look at the hotels yet because I don't know the town and where the festival takes place so I might need some advice :lol:

They posted the schedule yesterday! Coldplay are on the mirror stage at 9.20 :) I can REALLY recommend the band the Ark that are playing on the same stage a little while before. It's their farewell tour so it's going to be quite a show :wacky:

It's probably the smallest festival gig they've done since Rock im Park and they probably try out some of the songs they are less confident on on these more obscure hidden gigs...unless I'm very much mistaken and Where The Action Is is one of the bigger European festivals?

I think when people were asking around the Bakery and at the Exeter gig for Shiver, they were told that was the song that Guy refused to play again (might be mistaken but think that's right). Then we had the acoustic versions at Liverpool and Newcastle (sans Guy :P). I thought Glastonbury was just a one-off as full-band because it was the first song they ever played at Glasto, but obviously not :)

I always find them best when there's pressure on them to put in a special performance. That edge seems to drive Chris, and he's the ringleader of course. They didn't (and / or couldn't) work the crowd for The Scientist and ENL tonight, but then, while it was a great version of ENL, they didn't even try at the end there.

Considering the scale and importance of the gig, I think Glastonbury will go down as one of their greatest ever performances (it was certainly the best performance I've ever seen or heard from them) - and if it's ever beaten it'll only be at Glastonbury, and I'll be very very surprised. All imvho :)

<edit> They just neglected the end of Viva too - they should really be milking these moments I reckon. The crowd were well up for a big singalong!

Im answering because its the encore lol!
Those parts are not new, maybe a bit modified from the viva la vida era but I can tell you those guitar parts on viva la vida existed before on the live shows but with a lower volume. You can see jonny playing that before the chorus and trough the final.
