Muse didn't exist back then and i was a huge radiohead fan and i wanted to play that tune for a girl i liked so yeah /cool story bro

I've recently got rid of the fret markers just because Matt does it. It's surprisingly easy to know which fret is which. That will be the only musefanboy thing I'll do. Promise.

It's hard though, because I mainly play clarinet, and to play clarinet your fingers need to be perfectly flat. . . the exact opposite of what you want with guitar. :freak:

I kind of gave up on HotRS because I'm not good enough. :P (I've only had this guitar for 2 days and only one lesson.

The only thing about the Coldplay songs is that they require a capo, which I do not have. :shame:

I was trying barre chords this morning, and I was all "No. :wreck:" :lol: Maybe in a few weeks. :P But I can play about 8 chords so far. :awesome: I can change between about 5 almost perfectly (okay, for a beginner :P), and then the last three I can do very slowly. :lol:
I've found that my strumming is worse than my finger placement in most cases. :shifty:

I was trying barre chords this morning, and I was all "No. :wreck:" :lol: Maybe in a few weeks. :P But I can play about 8 chords so far. :awesome: I can change between about 5 almost perfectly (okay, for a beginner :P), and then the last three I can do very slowly. :lol:
I've found that my strumming is worse than my finger placement in most cases. :shifty:

Good for you! :awesome: Bar chords are harder and your fingers will suffer a lot but you'll master it after a few weeks, just try to press your fingers against the strings as hard as you can so you can get used to the pain :devil: It worked for me haha.

Whoa, you didn't get New Born at your show? I did notice they didn't play it at some shows this tour, though. Some people have complained because it's been slowed down, and also because Morgan does the piano intro, but it's always a reliable rocker.

Bliss is five minutes of face-melting and pogo-ing. I had to go to several shows before I finally got to hear it, though.

Unnatural Selection got played at practically every show until the last few U.S. ones, for whatever odd reason. I got it all 3 times.
Bliss and Take a Bow were the other rarities. Bliss got played once (my show, yay!) and TAB only got played a few times.
NSC also only got played at one show. That was also mine, but I obviously wasn't as thrilled with that one as I was with Bliss. :laugh3:

We didn't :shifty: I saw New Born on youtube being played 2-3 years ago, and it was brilliant! Matt just changed from piano to guitar during the song, it looked EPIC :dead: I thought I was going to see that...but no... :shifty: But ok...we got Citizen Erased instead :P

Re: Headphones: I think I should actually be thanking Muse right now actually. I know they're busted now and I'm on my original iPod headphones (which are dreadful, may I add) so it's a little cruddy now... But I found a lovely pair of Sennheiser CX300II's on sale-- £9.98 rather than £39.99-- which I have purchased. I cannot wait for them to arrive obvs.

Re: Grammy's: I'd imagine that they'd perform either Resistance or Uprising. If they played NSC it would just be because it is 'Grammy suitable' and they'd really, really be mean to all the Musers watching.

I know they're busted now and I'm on my original iPod headphones (which are dreadful, may I add) so it's a little cruddy now... Re: Grammy's: I'd imagine that they'd perform either Resistance or Uprising. If they played NSC it would just be because it is 'Grammy suitable' and they'd really, really be mean to all the Musers watching.

I'm going to be terrible and say that I didn't like the Exogenesis Symphonies until I heard them live. They used to be an instant skip when I first got the album.

If I remember rightly, someone slagged off his opinion of the Christmas Lights single and so instead of taking it up with them in that thread-- he went to the lounge to get their input and wrote a philosophical borderline spiritual take on why this person felt the need to say that to him and why he had those views in the first place-- that he aired for discussion. It was so awkward because I felt it was a little risky material to take to the Lounge-- but he didn't deserve the utter bashing he got.

The lounge really isn't too bad if you make friends with the right people. . . like, you may get trolled if you don't have anyone you know in here. If you know a few people though, they'll generally back you up and you won't have a problem.

The lounge really isn't too bad if you make friends with the right people. . . like, you may get trolled if you don't have anyone you know in here. If you know a few people though, they'll generally back you up and you won't have a problem.

I'd suggest befriending and talking to Crests (Glacial Fox now). She's like, the Lounge queen. :lol: And one day, just drop by in the Crests of Daylight thread, there's some awesome people there. :nice:

If I remember rightly, someone slagged off his opinion of the Christmas Lights single and so instead of taking it up with them in that thread-- he went to the lounge to get their input and wrote a philosophical borderline spiritual take on why this person felt the need to say that to him and why he had those views in the first place-- that he aired for discussion. It was so awkward because I felt it was a little risky material to take to the Lounge-- but he didn't deserve the utter bashing he got.

I don't venture into the lounge a lot. Actually, I tend to stay here and the Coldplay threads... Because somehow the lounge seems very terrifying. My friend joined the board after going on the Coldplaying boat and went to the lounge and got trolled so bad he left the forum after 2 days of joining. :cry:

Nah, I didn't go in the end. I had an exam in the morning on the day of the recording. And for the boat-trip I had already had an exam moved around for me, so I thought I probably couldn't have done it for a second time. :\ I take it you went?
