^ Good one! :laugh3:

I prefer Speeders though, it could mean something else. :D

LOL Speeders!

Wot about Talkers? Or Troublers? Or even, erm, Lowers?

The "casual" fan problem hasn't really been a problem for coldplay as much as it has been for snow patrol & muse. Most casual fans for snow patrol think that final straw was their debut, and the same goes for muse with absolution.

buffymaniac
20-07-2007, 08:37 PM
Snow patrol met at my uni...i'm not that keen on them, possibly why i assumed final straw was their debut :embarassed:

Me and my friend (Kara, 'crazyduckette') discussed this when we saw them last year, and named those people 'Starlighters' :laugh3:

There were shitloads of them at Wembley.

hehe, why would you go if you only knew 1song of a 2hr set????

Kite

Just to be at the 'first' concert at the new Wembley I guess.

coldplay_steph
21-07-2007, 12:19 AM
^Exactly.

To be fair though, the middle aged peeps that were there & didn't seem to be big Muse fans seemed pretty cool...they probably just fancied a good night out and wanted to see the new arena and yeah, probably also say they saw the first band, but whatev, they didn't bother me as much. They were just enjoying themselves.

It was all the indie scenester kids who you could tell didn't know a single song beyond SBH/Starlight and ooh maaaaybe TIRO but were still strutting about like they owned the place

I mean, I don't give a shit if someone doesn't really know much of their music..maybe their friend got tickets & dragged them along, or maybe they like a few songs & thought they'd see how they are live. Fair play to 'em.
But those shitty kids with their big sunglasses and equally big attitudes who are just there 'cos it's what's 'cool' right now, just do my nut in.

/rant over :D

It was my first time to see them live cause I missed them nearly 4 years ago, and I must say it has been an awesome show...but the ballons during Plug in baby reminded me a bit too much those used by Coldplay during Yellow =P

Whoa, i was there too! never thought anyone from cplaying would have been there, way to go!

An awesome show indeed. I had a great time and ah, they really sound absolutely great live.

where were you seated?

zeoir
26-07-2007, 10:02 PM
yeah, feels weird to think that i was at the same place with a coldplayer, haha.

We had tickets on the "floor" with 2 of my friends.. the seats were on the right.
ah, i've gotta ask this: What do you think of the human-waves
I thought they were fantastic! I was sitting near to the dude who made it all happen..who started all the new waves, haha, bet he was so proud of himself for getting everyone to do them

iriden
26-07-2007, 10:35 PM
LOL yes I've seen a picture of that guy, some of my friends were on the floor seats too. The human-wave it's a thing I've seen in almost any concert here, it's a nice thing to see and to be part of =)

I've just put the link to the show recording in multimedia ;)

Nope, Detroit, a day after.
:D

GA is simple, queue up, and get to the front.
Well, last year, I arrived to see Muse about a half an hour before the ticket time stated, and I was at nearly the back of the line and I still managed to get nearly perfect standing placement. I was probably 7 rows from the front, I could have gone up more if I wanted my ribs broken though.:laugh4:

Sadly, this year Muses popularity have grown in the US therefore the venue size therefore, no GA, so I'm seated in section 600 row h. So not so close, but not to far.

When me and my mate saw Muse at cardiff last year, we got there around 5:30 for the doors at 7:30. There was quite a large queue of people there.

The next time I will see Muse, I will get seating tickets, so I can walk out of their dodgy support bands

In February when I saw Muse, I arrived at the venue at 3 PM, the doors opened at 6 PM, and the show started at 8 PM. I managed to be at 2nd row from the front, so I guess it was worth the wait, and the energy. :D

They'll try to release it before December if they have enough time. Tom Kirk is now working on the editing of the DVD.

About the contents, there will be a documentary recounting their career from the release of B&R to the 2007 festival tour, with live extracts.

Tom Kirk has also revealed that 8 songs will be taken from the Wembley gigs and that the other ones will be taken from different dates of the tour.

Doh,only 8 songs

good lord, same here. i nabbed tickets to the same concert, but the seats i have are so lousy (waaaaaay in the back corner). what gets me real ticked is that most of the loge seats are reserved for American Express Gold Card users (:veryangry2:). but anyway, i'm using my tix for backup and if i'm fortunate i'll be getting better ones when the gig date gets closer. otherwise i'll settle. :\

Saw Muse last night at Arrow Hall!
It was absolutly fantastic, mindblowing, amazing, everything you'd ever want in a concert. I went to the concert with my twin sister Mindy. We arrived at about 6:45, got in and I managed to get a pretty damn good view on the left side, but it was mostly of Matt, a bit of Dom, and a few glances at Chris on the other side of the stage. I was right up front in the pit, it was like a sweat bath. After the first song I was soaked! And we got seperated during the first song. I actually think it was the first concert we've ever been to that we didn't see eachother at one point.
So excited that they opened with Knights, I love that song, especially when it's performed live. Hysteria, amaaaaaaazing. My left shoe got untied during this song and I was just thinking "Oh shit I hope I don't fall down because of it." Lucky for me, they had a really small pause before the next song where I quickly tied it up. People in the crowd are so nice, the second I bent down to tie it up people all around me started asking if I was ok or if something was wrong. So after I fixed that up I continued jumping, singing along and everything. The only song I didn't sing along to was Unintended since I just REALLY wanted to hear Matt sing it beautifully. I mouthed the words and swayed along. During one song, I'm not sure which (Solider's Poem maybe? Just thinking of a soft song...) they told everyone to bring out their mobile phones to light the place up. Whenever that happens I always love taking a look around and back to see tons of lights swaying. It was nice, but I couldn't see too far back anway.
Oh man, Plug In Baby they had white balloons filled with confetti. My first thought when I saw them was COLDPLAY COLDPLAY COLDPLAY COLDPLAY! Haha. Saw them do it last year with Yellow. Loved it for this song also. I touched one!
In the middle of the concert Matt's wahwah pedal broke and they played circus music, it was hilarious!

It was crazy. Saw them last July as well, and can't wait to see them again. Muse is one of the best live acts for sure.
Coldplay obviously are to though, haha.

Love every second of it. When it was over I chugged two bottles of water. And was half deaf. All good.

Such an awesome show on thursday nite.. BLOODY BRILLIANT AND SPECTACULAR...:shocked2::D Finding it hard to describe it in words but it was quite the religious experience thats for sure..!

I managed to get center,2nd row in front of two asian girls who were shorter than me (I am only 5ft tall) so that was perfect.. Next best thing to being on the rail which I may have gotten if the security who were patting us down weren't so damn slow..

So first I must travel alone with a train to other country to its capital city which has 10+ million inhabitants, meet with another Muse fan (Weve never met before) with who I will travel with bus more two hours to the Budapest Arena then the gig ... After that I will to try to go back (by foot, cos there are no buses going in the midnight) to the railway station and again the 200 kilometres with train home and again 2 kilometres by foot from railway station at 3 am alone happy as nobody in that moment

British Rock Band Muse Found Poisoned (http://news.bbc.co.uk)

Three men, members of the successful British band "Muse", were found dead today in a small flat in London. The forensics department concluded that the cause of death was acute cyanide poisoning, with high concentrations of cyanide found in their lemon tea.

Muse released their first album titled 'Showbiz' in 1999, and have gone out to release four more albums, including the much recent critically acclaimed album 'Black Holes and Revelations'.

They have won several awards for their action-packed live shows, including 'Best Live Act' from the 2006 Brit Awards. In June, they were one of the first rock acts to perform at the brand new Wembley Stadium to sold-out crowds over two nights.

The band was continuing an extended leg of their 'Black Holes & Revelations' tour across North America and several dates across Europe before heading out to Australia.

The motive of the suspected killer, Thom Yorke, is still unknown. Potentially, Yorke had grown jealous of the deceased-band's growing popularity, as his own band, Radiohead, had hit a roadblock.

Muse included frontman and songwriter Matthew Bellamy (29), bassist Christopher Wolstenholme (28), and drummer Dominic Howard (29). Police did not issue a warrant for Yorke's arrest until autopsy results yielded positive results.

Marek, don't worry about getting to the train station, if you feel uncomfortable to make it by foot, take a taxi, they're not expensive and I'm sure there will be plenty of them outside the venue..you know, I think there will be people around, but train stations are not usually the safest places ;)

I'm sure you'll have a great time, and hope Budapest will be lucky for you as much as it has been for me :nice:

i think muse have become more open to this after the increased commercialism on BHAR. I mean Shrinking Universe was a soundtrack to 28 Weeks Later recently and i don't think they've ever been that against it anyway, Sunburn featured in a phone advert during the Showbiz era :)

WAS IT?????? wowser

showbiz was on holyoaks in the summer, shrinking universe was also on 'children of men' trailer, feeling good was notoriously used by nescafe after the band had refused permission, so muse sued their ass!!!!(or at least got it took off so a crapper version was used

their stuff has been used a fair bit recently,i assumed it was with joining WB music fully with BHAR, the gits maybe put a clause in to the contract for all previous tracks :veryangry2:

then again, maybe they see it as a way to be ,more recognised...enableing them to sell enough tix to play wembley and madison sq gardens...

MUSE ROCKED

The crowd sucked (full of "starlighters"), but everything else was awesome! :) We were headbanging/jumping like crazy, lol. Best concert I've been to so far. :) One guy randomly came and stood between me and my cousin and started headbanging with us. Haha, I didn't even notice until my sister told me...

I got whiplash from headbanging during Map of the Problematique, which was only the 2nd song, hahaha. I'm lame... I can barely move my head, lol

Here's a vid--the quality isn't that great but the sound is okay. :)

So Matt dedicated Invincible to the kid that got tasered in Florida last week, and he also put a video and a little comment about it on his Myspace, though I thought I'd rant about it and send a message to his myspace... haha.

Well anyway, I got a response...?

hi alyssa,

I know you probably don't read your messages, but I guessed it was worth a shot, haha.

I never saw the whole video before, only the bit that the news showed on TV, and even the media made it seem like the arrest was made with good reason. After watching the video you posted, clearly it's NOT.

This really makes me worry about this country. Democracy my f**king ass.

I'm glad that you dedicated Invincible to him back in Irvine on the 21st.

BTW, the concert was great--nothing less than spectacular. I got whiplash from headbanging so much.

I loved the JFK quote. Though some people were confused and a bit angry--f**k them if they can't handle the truth.

Well, take care. Keep being liberal, heh.

David, it's run by an employee who is fond of Muse. You also have Microcut which is an other website devoted to Muse. I like them both.

I know Matt runs his own myspace. The other two don't even use theirs. They haven't logged in since April.

Unless their record label uses PIMP-MY-PROFILE and posts little blurbs about current events...

Yeah he chooses his songs (he had CSS and Does It Offend You, yeah? which he mentioned he likes), and posts videos and stuff... and his myspace is quite different from Dom and Chris's.

But what puzzles me is... Why the hell would he read/respond to ANY of his messages? :laugh3: And why did I get my message at 4:41 AM? And apparently he read my response back today.
