You mean sheets? Muselive has a few. There are also official song booklets you can order. Youtube tutorials exist but most of those aren't much help.

I feel like a person can only get completely sick of something like that by overlistening. Is that what happened, or did you just grow out of Coldplay? (I think that has been the case for some people here as well.)

it's more that I'm ignoring Coldplay lately (mostly because of Paradise and my plan of not listening to new song until MX :blank:)
and with a sister that loves Muse it isn't that hard to find them (plus the fact that it turned out that I deleted the Muse songs of my MP3)

Bit of both, actually.

I started listening to more bands, and I compared their music to Coldplay's (which I did overplay) and then I realized there was no real reason for Coldplay to stay my favorite band if I didn't enjoy their music.

My new mission: to convert one of my freshman friends to Muse.

We were talking about music while we were on the bus (I was on an intense marching band trip this weekend), and I creeped through her music library. I saw she had SMBH and commented how they were the best band ever. She said she had one of their albums on her iTunes wish list, and I told her that I would be more than happy to accomodate her and burn it for her. She told me she had a HUGE stack of CDs and would love to bring them to me so I can share music with her. Of course, this exchange will include MUCH more than Muse, but that'll be a highlight. Fo' sho'.

Should be interesting to see what stays on the setlists next tour. I predict only the 3 singles from The Resistance will survive, since only the first 5 songs on the album were still in rotation by the tour's end (though I still want them to eradicate UD forever).

You know, I actually really like BH&R when you take away the 3 pop/cheese tracks (Starlight, SMBH, Invincible). Yeah, those 3 songs paved the way for some bad habits on The Resistance, but the rest of BH&R is damn good. MOTP is the only post-Absolution Muse song to crack my Top 10.

I do like the solo in Invincible (it's way better than the Guiding Light/NSC solos) but the rest of the song is kinda...bleh. (surprisingly, Invincible has one of Muse's better music videos and I always feel like singing it when I'm on the actual It's a Small World ride)

I used to not like Soldier's Poem, but it's grown on me as a brief "breather" piece. Really, though, at least half of BH&R is really incredible.

Starlight was the song that helped me discover Muse so I will always have a soft spot for it. :wacky:

Eh, I don't mind that sound so much, though. To me, The Resistance sounded like a cross between Queen and Depeche Mode and I liked it. But, I like Muse's earlier albums, too. I think one of my favorite things about Muse, though, is the grafting of classical music into their charts. It's like a little golden surprise in an already wonderful treasure.

I agree, I thought it worked for them for an album but I don't see it doing well as a permanent style for them.

It was kinda funny, because I had heard them rehearsing it, and as they were putting stuff up, I walked in. Some of my friends were like, "HEY VIOLET, we were just talking about you." They proceeded to tell me how the first thought that came into mind when they saw the song was how pissed I was going to be because I wasn't in Pep Band. As bad as that sounds, it's kinda flattering knowing that I'm the first thing people think of when they think of Muse. :blush:

Is Muse a fav of yours, aswell? Cool, that means you have incomparable taste!! :sunny: What was the first song and first CD to make you fall in love with Muse? It was Absolution for me. All it took was hearing those ridiculously awesome tracks ONE time, and I was never the same again. And neither was my poor iPod which heats up daily as it works itself half to death ever-building my insanely high playcount of CP and Muse songs. :wacko:

I remember I listened to Starlight on my computer and I really liked it so then I started downloading more songs from them but I didn't like any other song, actually I hated them. But one good day I was bored at my father's office and I was listening to my iPod when Cave started, I decided I would give it a try because I never liked that intro, but when the last minute was playing I instantly fell in love with them! Since then i'm a big Muse fan, although I didn't like The Resistance very much.. :\

Muse has been my favourite band (besides Coldplay) for a couple of years now and I've seen them three times (twice in Helsinki and in August at Reading fest, on my birthday) umm so yeah I love Muse and hi. :awesome:

Ahh it's really amazing. I guess I could hunt it down and see if they'd sell it online somewhere. Though lately my closet has been filling up with Muse merch ;~;

Hey there, and thanks :3 Awwh but at least you were a part of it in a way. The gig was on my birthday so I knew I couldn't miss the chance and pretty much wasted all my savings but it was worth it.
