I really like QOTSA too, stole their second album :-o (the blue one) off my cousin but she had the cheek to take it back! Other than that, I've only heard No-one Knows, but I saw them at Glasto last year (Dave Grohl was drumming for them) and they were dead good. :D

Was this the show they played last September? I was so upset that I couldn't go to that one, but I'm glad you got to see them! This might be asking you to go wayy back in your memory, but do you remember any of the songs they did? Was it mostly stuff from "Songs for the Deaf," or was it a good mix of some older and newer stuff?

Um....I'm pretty sure that it was mostly songs from Songs for the Deaf.

Also from listening to them got the album from egales of death metal...which isnt a great album but i love a couple of that track on it.

Ok im chatting loads but qotsa are a class act :smug:

I was kind of surprised when i did a search on the forum and didnt find a thread about them. So here goes, Im opening one for them.

I guess they're not so widely known, but personally I find them amazing. Only two weeks ago, I finally got my hands on their first two albums and I just love them. Their music seems very unique.

What about you guys? Any QOTSA fans around here?

Sam
11-06-2006, 11:20 AM
Further known as QOTSA.

Anyone like 'em. I was led to them a while back by my obsession wiht Dave Grohl.

I love this video.

fucking love them :nice:

ahh no one knows. most fucking fun to play on the drums. i can vow that much. it's a real workout hahaha

Sam
11-06-2006, 12:07 PM
Sure looks it. I love the drums from about 2:30 onwards. Grohl is probably my favourite musician. I just love all his work and his attitude towards everything.

And...hey... I didn't know you play drums, violin, but not drums. You should become a one-man-band.

Sorry, one-woman.

bonita
11-06-2006, 12:08 PM
yeah after 2:30 onwards, thats the best bittttt
grohl is an awesome musician. i saw the foo fighters live in december, they were aweeeeesooommmmeee

haha yeah i do play drums, it's actually my 4th instrument :laugh1:

violin, then piano, then guitar, then drums.

LOL everyone says "heyy you should become a one-man-band. wait... one-woman"

Sam
11-06-2006, 12:12 PM
Shit, you're a frickin' machine.

Damn I wish I coulda seen The Foo.

No One Knows is proving to be one of those songs that sounds easy on guitar, but turns out very, very hard. I have no idea how Homme can sing and play that at the same time.

bonita
11-06-2006, 12:13 PM
hahaha. thankies :nice:

i know, no one knows is a bitch to play on the guitar. homme is also a machine. bless his soul.

QOTSA is still great. Josh Homme is genius.

For one reason or another, I never bought Rated R. However, I do like Songs for the Deaf.

Rated R is a great hard rock record but has nothing on Songs for the Deaf. a lot of that might have to do with Dave Grohls involvement on Songs.
