Does anyone have:
A cover of 'Shining Light' by Ash?
Cover of 'Songbird' by Oasis?
Just Chris doing 'Many Rivers To Cross?'

Anyone?

I've got the shining light cover on tape, but he didn't play the whole song, so it might be hard to find on mp3

I've got it on mp3 as part of the Forum gig - its not the whole song but about half as they then stopped playing it (no great loss imo  )

He (Chris) honours is to ASh - one of the best bands ever? I mean pleeeeeeease

I think Ash are fantastic personally, I have all their albums and will be buying their greatest hits this week :D They were obviously a big inspiration to Chris and the boys so that's good enough for me  Apparently they're going down (so to speak) pretty well on tour with Coldplay in the US so that's nice  :D

I find it a bit strange that ash, who have been around for years now, are just supporting coldplay. I've got their best of, and it rocks! :D

i thought that at first, but i suppose they haven't really had the exposure in america that coldplay have, i want their best of too - i only know their later stuff so names like "girl on mars" mean nothing to me.

"Girl from Mars" is their best song ever

dont get me wrong from previous posts - i do like them - i just dont think they have ever really progressed their music - you listen to their best of and its like they wrote the whole album last year - it pretty much all sounds the same!

maybe that's part of the attraction for some people - if they progressed too much it may produce a shock similar to the one in my household when we saw richard madely had had his hair cut? why oh why did he do it?

u mean :silly: became :D ? !

haven't you seen it yet? oh god - he looks so very odd! i was appalled. i dread to think what my nan was like - he's gone all....well....modern. in fact, i might have to call my nan and check he hasn't given the old dear a heart attack or something, all we need now is for richard whitely to wear a normal tie and it will be proof that the world's gone crazy!

i could blow through the ceiling
if i just turned and run

but it wears me out
it wears me out
it wears me out

it wears me out

and if i could be
who you wanted
if i could be
who you wanted
all the time

all the time

oh my god - i am so surprised and impressed by myself. i never ever remember words to songs. even when i was little my nursery rhymes alway turned out as something like "baa baa black sheep, sitting in the corner, eating her curds and whey..." what the hell's whey?

dave's girl

now why wasn't i ever taught that at school? the ins and outs of pythagoras' theorem - yes, whereas something useful like the meaning of moo chow - no! the education system's all wrong.
