Its a great idea!!!:Dis that a yes I'm interested or a yes I can't wait to see all 12 reviews?! :laugh3:
TEXT DUMP:
Unfortunately I don't think I'll have enough time to do a Coldplay review for the months of 2009 like we did last year, so I thought that if there was enough interest in it then 12 volunteers could do one month each, posting their review on successive days like we did in 2008 culminating in a full 2009 review by the end of the year. If you are interested, reply to the thread below :D
Here are the reviews from 2008 to give you a feel of how the reviews work (use of coldplaying new articles, youtube vids, pics etc to build up a story, and then a monthly poll) and to see if anyone would have the time to spread the work :) http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=71
If nothing else, the different styles of reviews would be something to look forward to reading!
If it helps anyone decide, I started last year by using the main site search function, slowly working back to page 1 (the latest news).
Here's where 2009 begins: http://www.coldplaying.com/index.php?name=Search&action=search&active_stories=1&stories_author=&stories_cat%5B%5D=&bool=OR&startnum=1261&total=6700 (January 2009 starts at news item 5576.)
Each month reviewer should start with the 1st day of their month using the main site search. e.g. March 2009 would be at http://www.coldplaying.com/index.php?name=Search&action=search&active_stories=1&stories_author=&stories_cat%5B%5D=&bool=OR&startnum=971&total=6700
Most of the main site news articles have within them links to the forum threads where all the discussion, youtube vides, pictures, wikicoldplay references etc are. I found around 15 decent different news stories per month and then created a poll asking which was your favourite. You may decide to do it differently, its your choice as the reviewer. Whatever you decide there is a wealth of information at your disposal! :)

I would love to do one. But there's pressure on me to get everything covered in the month ain't there.
If you can tell me what to cover (unless it's for March cause I know pretty much what they did then :P) I'd be gladly to help...
Though my writing's far from perfect.

^ That.
we could have a thread (maybe this thread) to give ideas to the writers of each month, I'd do one but I'm not good writing.
whoever writes the february review, you better don't forget the postcards delivery video, feb 16th :P :shy:

I'll give it a couple more days for volunteers to come forward then I'll PM everyone who is interested with a month to write about :)

This is a great idea, a collective work! :)
I'd love to help, but I'm not sure I'd be able to do a good job... It seems to be hard. Where do you find all the informations? and what do you do to be sure not to forget anything important?
I guess it would also be better for the articles to be written by English native speakers.
As for me, my English is probaby not good enough to write something good.

I could probably do one! :) Preferably August. But I'll need some help, though. To create threads where people can post things about the month would be really helpful! :nice:

I'd happily do one, not sure which month though, September is an obvious choice, but I'd like to do December if possible...

But I'll need some help, though. To create threads where people can post things about the month would be really helpful! :nice:With the right search settings it won't be a big problem to have a look at what was going on in a particular month!
There's also the "easy thread finder" thread in the live section and together with CP.com updates that should be enough to gather the relevant events. :)
Don't worry too much! :nice:

Ohhh---Kay...
I'm officially December!!!
Cool, nice one Ian, the only way this could of been perfect is if I'd gotten a ticket for Exeter, but I didn't and I have cried it all out now lol.
I am gonna ask here straight away, but can someone going to the Exeter show, perhaps write me a really cool review of it please??? - Prefferably not one they are gonna post in public, so a bit of an exclusive yeh? Anyway, I'm not sure who else is going other than Mich and Chris right now, but one of those would be grand, if they have the time of course.
And Lore!! Your job to help me out on this one, so ... HELLO!

Haha, I'm sure you have had plenty of these but, CONGRATULATIONS!
Oh btw, I know this isn't relevant but me and a friend were talking and reminiscing about Wembley the other day, and we disagree'd about you! Well your seating arrangements anyway lol, one day you were over by the b-stage yeh, or the c, and you saw the Simon Pegg duet up-close yeh? And the other you sat nearer the main stage yeh?

No, I just remember speaking to you in the queue and you saying you'd watched from the C-stage on Friday night, but you were saying how you don't like being right infront of the Main-stage anyway because you have to like look too far up to see everything you know, as its so high up.
But I thought you said you might sit near to the stage in the unreserved seats this time around.
And, Hey Lore! how you doing??

I remember someone saying that the stage at Wembley was higher than the one in LCCC, which was high enough as it was. The bass at the front was overbearing too. Am I showing my age? I was in the unreserved seats but the C-stage didn't get busy at all early on and it was too hard to resist for a few hours less standing!
