First off, I made some really cool friends being attatched to the Tampa thread, getting to know everyone and planning our meetings for months before the show up to the postponement, we all gathered in "OUR" special thread sharing videos, pic's, experiences, and trash talk. It was a special thread. I was lucky enough to have won Tampa tickets, even tho I already had tickets to this show, everyone was so happy and hoping I would get to go backstage and meet the band. When it was postponed, the contest people and Arlene contacted me wanting to know if I wanted to go to Wembley, well, DUH.... My special friends were so excited for me, and wanted updates of my journey, and were just beside themselves for the thrill of a lifetime that was handed to me.
I feel like I have cheated my friends somehow...... We all were so hoping for a wonderful meet-up for talk, drinks, and the ultimate Coldplay experience. I get that, my friends who can't go to Wembley do not. I am very sad, even tho I am leaving in 2 day's for Wembley, my heart goes out to my friends I have made in "OUR" special thread.

Dianne, I know how bad this was for you, and I am sorry my friend, I will have a drink for you on Friday, and will try my hardest for a drumstick! Thanks for reading this, I just hope we all will have a chance of that "get-together" somewhere down the road..............

bless you! thats so sweet, i think all people on this board are gutted for those thousands of people who dont get to see coldplay in Tampa. You should not feel like you have cheated your friends on what has happened. Its just a sad situation and it take a special person to come out and openly say what you just did.x

Tracey I feel the same way! That the Tampa thread has been a really amazing place to go and talk about our excitements and sadness, and everything else. (even though i've been MIA the past few weeks because of classes) But I'm so happy for you, that you're going to go to Wembley this weekend (and that you decided to go, instead of waiting for a rescheduled date! so smart!). We're all going to live through you and everyone else this weekend, but we're all so happy for you ( I know I am at least).
And for everyone that began making their way to Tampa, only to find out it was postponed, Dianne & the Coldplay Shaped Fans, you guys are awesome! Even though it was a big disappointment, you guys still had a good time! Troopers! I'm even jealous you all got to go and do that!
I'm really glad I became friends with everyone in the Tampa thread, and hopefully on Coldplay's next tour (or leg?? :thinking:), we can all meet up for an epic concert and have equally as epic before & after parties, celebrating a very long awaited event, and friendships!! :)

Awww, Tracey, you're so sweet. We have an awesome Tampa board. I'm sad I won't see the boys all together again (still debating with myself if I should go to the Bridge Benefit), but also so sad that we won't all be meeting up. That was going to be half the fun, being with people who "get" the band and their music, and our after-party at the Hard Rock.

I've still been torturing myself by pricing flights/hotel, and it's actually way cheaper to book a package flight + hotel, but it's still over $1000 at travelocity.com, and right now, that's just not in the budget (damn Visa bill came yesterday for my hotel, car, dinner out with my friend in Atlanta - all of my Tampa charges just came through :cry: talk about salt in the wounds).

I'm fine...kind of...just disappointed by the finality of it. I wonder if we'll get a statement from the band about it? Something other than that "all business" generic email from livenation. And I'm sure livenation is not going to refund the $22 that I was forced to pay for overnight delivery of my ticket (which I still don't understand, but it was the only ticket option available).

I have my memories of meeting Will and shaking Chris's hand, and my pictures from Irvine. That's gonna have to do for now.

And Tracey, do not EVEN for one second feel guilty or bad about going. You are going to have an amazing time, and geez...the cancellation worked out great for you! Hmm, 2 tix to Tampa and a room for one night at the Holiday Inn Express, or a trip to LONDON! Flight, 2 nights at a really cool looking hotel, transportation, tickets! You so totally scored! And we're all so happy for you. And you can use your Tampa refund to shop...Don't let the cancellation in any way dampen your weekend - although that London rain might ;)

I'm sooo incredibly happy that you're getting the chance to go to Wembley :dance::dance: I know you'll have an amazing time...make sure to bring back lots of pics and stories for us. It was fun getting to meet everyone, getting our plans together and then commiserating when the show got postponed :( While the final news is a huge disappointment for all of us going, I know that the boys will be back in Tampa or wherever in FL, and when the show resumes it's gonna be the time of our lives!! :cheesy::dance:
