The Police - Really been getting into them again.Best band ever, musicanship wise, these guys were simply the best.

Snow Patrol - Can sound the same after a while, but I like them. So its all good. Plus Im seeing them with Coldplay

Coldplay - As always in my top 5, obvious reasons, although not on repeat lately.

Audioslave - I love Chris Cornell with theses guys, first two albums are the best rock albums since Ten.

U2 - Re-listened to No Line On The Horizon, Im starting to appreciate it more, its a very mature album and demands a lot of respect.

@parachutes - Sigur Ros are Icelandic, they're reasonably well known in UK, and in USA aswell too I think - check out Inní Mér Syngur Vitleysingur as (imo) it's by far the best one :D

Hmm...so many good ones...the latest album is með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, which i find to be fabulous. however, seems like many SR fans don't like it as much as their earlier albums, but i really don't understand that. some songs i like are: starálfur (one of my FAVS) off of ágætis byrjun, hoppípolla off of takk..., love everything off of () (that's the album title - all songs are untitled), gobbledigook and með suð í eyrum off of the latest album...ahh...there are too many songs i love!!!!

guess it all depends on you taste, but maybe try starting with starálfur and hoppípolla, then let us know what you think. those songs are pretty accessible and i know there are some live versions on youtube.

I'm glad you liked that album! I love the entire album - I went through a phase recently where I was only listening to that album daily during my drive to and from work or anywhere...hehe. But, I do love all Sigur Ros albums, and I'm not sure what else to recommend since you didn't like Starálfur and Hoppípolla, but I'm guessing there will be a few songs off of each album that you will like. When I go to bed, sometimes I listen to Takk or () as they sound lovely and relax me.

I'm sure you'll like Hissing Fauna, and whatever else you try. All of their albums are pretty much masterpieces, there's not one I don't like.

I didn't really notice a change. Obviously, the earlier the stuff, the more different the sound- but I think they changed gradually and then had a major change when it came to Skeletal. But as for the earlier stuff, there's nothing completely noticable, at least for my ears.

I may hve to sit down and listen to the full albums again, though. It's been a while, so don't take my word for it.
