In my humble opinion the best band in the world at the moment is Radiohead but thats only because of the added years under their belt and the twists and turns their musical development has taken over 10 or so years - Coldplay are younguns and I think they are better than Radiohead were at the stage they are at now (if that makes sense) so if they can keep it up the music world is theirs for the taking! :shock:

hee hee hee. i went to lanzarote a few years ago and on the way to our apartment in the taxi we were driving (at about 200 miles an hour - the way spanish cab drivers do) through all the barren rocky bits and the cab driver gave us a whole speech on that - and how it was filmed in lanzarote, hee hee hee. he was a bit scary actually - it all got a bit heated and he actually tried to turn round and wave his hands at us while he was driving to illustrate his point further - how we all survived i will never know. needless to say we booked a different cab firm on the way back. :D

the best thing to do with Spanish cab drivers is to give them an alcoholic beverage - I think that most are speed-crazed drunks anyway so I think they drive better in their natural state! :shock:

thats one of the great things about message boards tho! in forums text quickly gets lost as other people talk but in MBs the stuff is there forever (unless someone moderates / deletes it), but thats what I like about it, its more honest and at the end of the day if peeps dont like it then bite me... softly please :mrgreen:

Yes miss Jane...tis 9:26 over here in the morning....and bagels are heven. You must find a good jewish deli somewhere and purchase an "everything" bagel toasted...with cream cheese....lots of it....yummy...
Tea! I love tea... I have 3 big boxes of Barrys thanks to my lovely sister and niece..who constantly get over to the uk...mostly scotland and Ireland for that is our descent. :D I cant drink our tea.... I guess I'm spoiled. :wink:

Saw the lads on MuchMusic last night...that was a cool show...they did a nice live set...it was like seeing them all over again...cant get enough! :silly: :spiral: :multi:
yeah i saw it too!!!!! i think the performance of one i love rocked chris' voice sounded soooooooooo good but the thing that got me mad was that guy didnt talk and they never showed any close ups of him and also he was never in the cameras view anyway it was stilla great performance!!!

Nope...Ive seen that commercial as well...its cool.....I dont have MTV2...I guess I have to pay extra or something....Much is just as good for me...

well its a good investment because they are on the american mtv2 all the time, well atleast for now, coldplay just got to keep putting out stuff to be on mtv you know how it is mtv plays new stuff and old stuff once in a while

i tried to learn how to play acoustic guitar and I had to give up because my fingers bled - :cry: i t was a while ago now though. I think learning on an electric guitar is a good idea and then converting to acoustic when the skin off the end of your fingers has gone hard ...eeeeewwwww. thats sound horrible doesn't it. :twisted:

i spent £150 on a professional recording mike for just that reason ginger so youll hear some of hicksy's poor attempts at popular band material if Ian might be so kind as to help me out with a bit of hosting which I could link in this forum (if thats ok with him - ill get in touch when I have some material if thats ok Ian)
while we are on this topic if any of you sing / play guitar / record your own material or covers please let me know and we may be able to merge our work and produce a collaboration / duet which would be fantastic!! :D
I am hoping that my first recording will be "Billy Davies' Daughter" - a cover of Stereophonics - as the guitar part is very simple - like my playing atm and the lead singing i can match :P

it was a traditional type - it had raisins and alcohol in, and all the other stuff too. i can't wait till christmas - i absolutely love the whole build up - i love winter and all that wintery stuff - hats and scarves and things. yey!!!

Morning gang...I grew up in New England all my life...they live for skiing but I never got into it. Nevada gets snow yes...but it doesnt make it over the mountain wall that surrounds the valley and it never collects or makes ice...its still too warm. :) I dont miss it really.

today where i live it was pretty cool outside i was so happy because i hate hot weather and thats all we get here. well its cold in the evening and at night and morning. ugh i hate hot weather. anyway the way it gets cold here all you other people would probably think its hot. it bearly gets 65 at night well thats the temp for tonight and its 85 in the day thats way better than in the 90's
