Good afternoon. We're pleased to announce that Coldplay will be heading to Birmingham, Alabama on May 18th for a show at the Verizon Wirelesss Music Center. Tickets go on sale from here (http://www.livenation.com/artist/coldplay-tickets/) on Monday 16th March. We're told that this is the band's first show in Birmingham, AL since January 2003 (a September 2005 show was cancelled when Chris had a virus).

Coldplay will return to the Birmingham area for a May 18 concert at the Verizon Wireless Music Center, promoter Live Nation announced today.

Tickets for the date in Pelham, priced at $35-$97.50, will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 16 at 877-598-8698 or www.livenation.com (http://www.livenation.com). The show time and opening act haven't been confirmed.

Coldplay, a Grammy-winning British rock band, is touring to spread the word about its latest CD, "Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends."

Coldplay last performed here in January 2003 at the BJCC Concert Hall. In September 2005, Coldplay canceled a show at the Verizon Center, blaming a virus that had sickened lead singer Chris Martin.

Hi - I'm new to this board and going to see Coldplay for the first time on Wed in Va Beach. I've been reading the posts on the first few shows and they've been entertaining.

I have a question and I'm hoping someone can indulge me: what's the backstory on Angie and Jackie and Kelly? I've gathered that Angie is a (uber)fan, but not a clue about Jackie/Kelly. Thanks!

every night coldplay has a show, at about 9:35 my time (EST) i start a playlist in my itunes that is live songs set to their regular setlist, so when i'm not there...i feel like i am! fun thing to do! for once though, i'd like to be wrong about the set!
