I've had lawn seats before at mansfield and the line of site and sound are great. Just bring something to sit on as it's been rainy and you will want to sit down until the concert starts.
Sure hope the weather holds as I have seats that are not undercover. Will just bring a rain poncho and hope for the best.
On a diff note... I don't think I will be in confetti range this show...any Coldplaying Angels out there want to mail me some from Mansfield?? PM me and I could send you a self addressed/stamped evelope.
Taking my 9 year old daughter to this show, she is positively stoked.

From: http://www.examiner.com
Coldplay rock hard, Coldplay rock soft, they’re millionaires, their lead singer is married to Gwyneth Paltrow, they’re great musicians with great songs, Viva La Vida was some kind of masterpiece, so how come so many rockers are bugged by the mere mention of the name Coldplay? Well, probably because Coldplay can rock hard, Coldplay can rock soft, they’re millionaires, their lead singer is married to… Coldplay can do it all and are creating some of the most sophisticated, groundbreaking music in rock today – they deserve all their accolades.
And tonight, you can sit on the grass under the stars or in the seats closer up in the open air and hear Coldplay play everything live. Promises to be a great show, tonight at Comcast Center in Mansfield, formerly known by the non-corporate name that actually had some meaning and soul Great Woods, ah... sounds nice, doesn't it? But you really can’t expect anything non-corporate to survive these days in a world that religiously tunes into Big Brother on TV (irony, anyone?) and follows the fake filmed acted reality lives of people they’ll never meet as if they’re part of the family and believe that it's real, about as real as wrestling, but hey, you never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people, (you morons you dummies you dummies you morons... subliminal message) but hey, that just means the reality of those people's lives must be mundane and dreary and meaningless for them to have to supplant reality TV for actual life, but…
I digress…
Should be a great show under the stars, Coldplay... they'll be real, a real band actually playing songs they wrote and sing and it won't be reality TV...take a break from growing, pervasive, corporate mind control and instead see Coldplay live.

Okay, so I got to the show when the lots opened a 3:30. Had a picnic with my two friends and listened to soundcheck , walked around while waiting for the doors to open. I found some Frieda from here and we waited together for a while. Before we knew it the doors where opened and we where let in. Got the new tour program and new tour shirt. Then we took oir seats and where treated to Kitty, Daisy, & Lewis, and Elbow. I held my "Rock-A Roll-A sign up for Kitty, Daisy, & Lewis. I'm not too sure they saw it thought. Arther them was Elbow. They where really good live! And there set seemed short. Then for the big guys. COLDPLAY. the usual preshow songs where U2's Magnificent and some rap song. I danced with my sign for both of them, lots of people seemed to snap some pictures. Hope some of them turn up here ;-) They played the usual set nice and long, I'd have to say one of my favroite moments was during In My Place when I threw up a beach ball into the crowd below. It made it pretty far. Before I knew it they where already on the C-Stage playing Billie Jean, the Mansfield crowd loved it! Then came the cell phone wave, that looked really cool from the audience. The boys closed the night with LIT ii amazing live if you ask me. The weather was beautiful! Before the show was over chris announced LRLRLRL to everyone. My copy was supriseingly easy to obtain. So when all is said and done the show was ABSOULTELY AMAZING, and this is comming from someone who was third row back in october. I don't know when I'll be seeing Coldplay next but I hope it's relatively soon. Thank you and goodnight!

heyy guys... haven't posted in awhile but i still fucking love coldplay so here i am again. the show was real good. it was my sixth show and definitely up there with the best. i'm kinda brain dead right now and don't really know what to say BUT LiTii was probably my favorite.. it was the first time i'd seen it live which made it even better. chris altered lyrics more than usual by singing something about the loud new england/boston crowd or something.. i don't know if theyve been doing it at every show but when they were on the C-stage chris sang like a mini song about new england or something. overall it was really good but i'm still disappointed that theyve kept the setlist essentially the same for over a year... this the third time in the past year i've seen them in just the boston area and i just feel like if theyre gunna keep coming back they should at least change things up and maybe play a few older songs but thats my only complaint... im done.

WOW. Apparently 5th time's the charm, guys! Here's my pictureless review now, I'm too tired to upload stuff tonight!
So when I got to the venue I discovered that I was Jonny's side on the aisle, and immediately freaked out because I remembered that they usually run up that aisle during the show... And thanks to twitter, I confirmed it! So I knew right away that it was going to be a good night. I'd made a shirt for the concert, and a lot of people were commenting on how crazy I was to go to 5 shows
Anyway, the show: Elbow was amazing! Best opening act for Coldplay that I've seen, would've loved to hear more! But soon Blue Danube was playing and I was FREAKING OUT. And out came the boys, with Chris looking like he hadn't cut his hair for 10 years... and he worries about going bald, sheesh! Chris was incredibly energetic and happy tonight, he was cracking jokes and talking to us whenever he had a chance, dancing even more than usual (which is saying something :P), and generally just going crazy. Some specific things he said were a) that Guy was trying out for America's Got Talent, b) That they've been touring for "over 3 inches of curly hair", c) that APW was the worst concert they'd ever played and so tonight had to be the best ever to make up for it (...? was APW actually bad?), and lots more.
Now after B-stage they came up our aisle with police tape roping off our seats, and I started freaking out. I got ready, and after Lost! there they came trooping down the aisle RIGHT towards me! First came Jonny who saw my shirt and gave me a thumbs up, and I reached over and touched his chest and arm, then Will who nodded at me and I touched his arm, then Guy who smiled at me when I touched his arm too. Now I was already flipping out at this point, but then there comes Chris and I just reached out, touched his entire left arm, screamed "CHRIS!" and he paused, smiled at me, and winked! squeeeeeeee :wacky: :bomb:
So that was the most exciting moment of my life, but then I started hitting all the Coldplaying karma. After DAAHF I managed to sneak up to the front row for the second encore! Then I begged and begged and got Jonny's setlist and 3 VLV picks from a roadie! And so many butterflies it's ridiculous, plus a popped yellow balloon... Oh and at the exit I got not one but NINE copies of LRLRL! :D
Phew, and that's that! This definitely ties for my favorite Coldplay concert ever with my May 21st concert :nice: I'll upload pictures and video tomorrow, I've got a lot including a chaotic video from when I touched them :P
ZOE.
that sounds so incredibly awesome! im glad you had a great time:nice:

MANSFIELD - Coldplay brought their Viva la Vida tour to the Comcast Center Monday night and showed why they are probably the hottest act in music today, writes The Sun Chronicle.
Lead singer Chris Martin was in full control throughout the show and played the audience like one of the finely tuned strings on his guitar. The Brit quartet stormed through a strong sampling of their huge CD "Viva la Vida" as well as many of the hits from their relatively brief career. They rocked the main stage, held court from a side stage, and even went to the back of the lawn section of the venue for three numbers.
After they were done, no one could have possibly felt cheated on a gorgeous August night with a brilliant orange moon keeping watch overhead. It was all reminiscent of Bono, The Edge and company as they ascended to the height of their career and conquered the music world.
The show kicked off with the standing room only section in front of the stage swaying to the strains of the "Blue Danube Waltz," which many of the fans seemed to know would soon usher in Coldplay. The band took the stage and launched into the incredibly catchy "Life in Technicolor," the first track from the "Viva la Vida" CD.
From there, it was a quick transition into the equally foot-tapping "Clocks" as multicolored laser lights shot over the audience. The band played in front of a huge tapestry with the revolutionary "Viva la Vida" CD cover and several giant white globes hanging overhead.
After "Clocks," Martin belted out "In My Place" as he danced and jumped across the stage in his ragtag soldier's outfit, looking almost like a marionette. Then it was onto "Yellow," a huge hit for the band made all the more memorable by the scores of large yellow balloons that somehow emerged from the Comcast Center audience and bounced their way across the sea of hands.
Playing four hits right off the bat, Coldplay obviously wanted to get the audience immediately into delerium, and succeeded. They went on to perform an incredible version of "42" from "Viva la Vida" with black and white silk screens adding a nice effect. Martin turned "Fix You" into a sing-along, letting the audience sing much of the enduring hit, then performed a stirring rendition of "Perfect Day."
On the tiny side stage, Coldplay performed the hit "Talk" then Martin went into a relatively sedate piano solo before returning to the stage and launching into the title track from "Viva la Vida" with the audience shouting out the chorus without cue.
Martin tossed multicolored sticks into the crowd as he pulsated through "Lost!" - another big hit from "Viva la Vida" - then Coldplay made their way through the audience and to the back of the lawn where they performed "Green Eyes," a number written and sung by the drummer Will (the name of which I did not catch), and Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean." The gesture to the late pop superstar was touching, though it was pretty obvious from the start that Chris Martin is no Jacko. He did get points for his falsetto, though.

this was my first Coldplay concert and it was AMAZING!!!
we (my two sisters Olivia and Harley and myself) arrived at the venue around 2, and there were only a few girls in line at that time. as it got later and later, the line of people in the middle became huge, but we were off to the side, so when they finally let us up to the doors we were almost in first.

OK, so i had made Coldplay puppets for my video for the Lost? competition, and i thought it'd be a good idea to bring them to the concert. i had the Chris one, Liv had the Jonny one, and Harley had the Guy and Will ones.
well, about 5 or 10 seconds after that video ended, Chris noticed the puppets. he loved them!!! :D he laughed and smiled, then showed Will, who also laughed and smiled. according to Harley, Guy noticed the puppets and smiled, too, but i didn't see. :(
they played Green Eyes, and i was surprisingly calm for being feet away from my loves. there was a bit of jonnychrislove! towards the end which is SUPER ADORABLE IN PERSON!!! :wacky::wacky:
then Chris sang the bit where he introduces Will. just before they started playing DWNC Guy had the SEXIEST look on his face. :bomb:
then Will started, and Chris was dancing around the stage. at one point he reached out and touched someone's hand, then he walked over by the corner closest to me. he looked directly at me (and let me tell you, he has GINORMOUS BLUE EYES!! :bomb::bomb:) and was smiling, and i started freaking out. of course, i looked right back at him. then he moved his hand, and it took me a second to realize what he was doing.... HE THREW HIS HARMONICA AT ME.
CHRIS MARTIN THREW ME HIS HARMONICA.:dead:
i couldn't believe it. especially since i caught it with my left hand. there were all sorts of people reaching for it, but i had managed to grab it and as soon as i did, i shoved it in my pocket so that no one could try to take it from me. apparently Chris didn't see that i caught it, though, because my sisters said he looked a bit confused and kept looking at the ground.
they played Billie Jean, which is a complete blur for me, as i was freaking out about the harmonica, then went back to the main stage.
the butterfly confetti didn't reach the lawn section, but i was OK with that because we ended up snatching a whole bunch as we were leaving.
when they came back on for the encore, Chris said something about them not coming back for a few years, so everyone started to boo. he was like, "what?! :P" then said something about Guy entering on America's Got Talent and being a naked Flamenco dancer (to which i may have said YEAHHH!).

Vendor: Hey, where you born lucky?
Me: Just because I'm here!
Vendor 2(to vendor): Well his wife wasn't born lucky!

Ok i am typing this from my hotel room where i am staying along with my hubby in Providence,RI.But seriously i really can't believe how Chris said APW was their shittest concert ever.I don't know which words i've to believe which i shouldn't believe when he speaks. At APW when i was there he tells we're the best and says our concert is the best.Any way what ever to me
that concert is one great concert for me.I don't care what he feels.
But now my review here too he said this is best concert ever. And the singing of the audience is wonderful during Fix you.And right from Lit,violet hill, clocks he's really rocking every moment.Especially Clocks is my favorite song and i like red lights, lasers during the live of that song.During the starting of in my place he said "oh that's a lot of people".And Yellow he cracked a lot of jokes at the end.Asked the audience to sing the entire last phrase and also some lines in the beginning. He also said the people at Massachusetts make a lot of noise.
Glass of water was really rocking i like that song.Cemeteries of london too i sang almost every word and enjoyed it highly. These two songs were actually not my favorite songs before but still after attending so many concerts i started to love them more now.42 was just amazing i think at the end Chris haven't really made any long pauses. He just finished it fast. And went into Fix you.At this song when we audience sang the beginning of some lyrics he really surprised and said "wow that's the most wonderful singing i ever heard" or some thing. But he liked our singing i can say.And after that, strawberry swing was awesome as usual. And during the b-stage set they almost were visible to me from where i sat yesterday.During the b-stage set Chris looked in my direction some times. They're just almost opposite direction to me.And i recorded the entire b-stage set.Its my favorite as usual and i enjoyed the whole set. Chris said a comment about his curly hair "we're touring with about 3 inches of curly hair in this tour". But he joked a lot during the beginning of hardest part.About how we people came to see them. After that Chris went back to the stage and started Viva la vida and here too we audience did our loud viva chants. And its so awesome. And then Lost is my favorite song and i enjoyed it from starting to end as always. And then during c-stage as i expected they went to lawn to do it.I stood up on my chair to see them from where i am but sadly i am some what far from them than every time. But that's my favorite part of the whole concert really. But well i was close to them a lot of times before and those memories are enough for me.:)And even in APW i was just 2 feet away from them from b-stage and also in my place ending .So and also in APW i was almost front row,and before i saw them especially Chris running past by me in one show too.All these memories can give me relief.
But well its awesome the whole green eyes, dwnc and billie jean. The mexican cell phone wave was good too. Then during viva remix the audience did viva chants around me and also danced a lot for it,after that ,the band went back to the stage and Chris started viva tune on piano for some time and then went into Politik and that's my god highly electric. And then Lovers in japan was very very awesome and this time too i got so many butterflies with me.And i really loved the death and all his friends its my favorite song. Then they took the bow and went backstage before encore. And during Scientist Chris said it'll be a few years again they return back. And said some things about LRLRL cd how its just zero cents. And then beginned Scientist.I always love it.I had the whole video too.And then Life in technicolor II i sang the entire lyrics for that song along with Chris and he looked in my direction straight in some parts too.I absolutely loved it.And the entire band left the stage.
It took a while for us to reach our places again back crossing all the traffic from the parking lots. But i got 2 copies of LRLRL again. Now i've totally 5 copies of it with me.:)
I'll upload my photos and videos and i edit them in this post again soon.:)

Edited removed the link.

Awesome night last night! The weather was beautiful, with hardly a cloud in the sky. We got there kind of late though, so we missed part of the first act’s performance. I’m glad I got to hear Elbow though. Their set list did seem kind of short, but at least introduced me to another great band!
During Jay-Z’s I Just Wanna Love U, I managed to see Jesse’s “Let’s Talk Coldplay” sign and remembered it from here. You were really grooving man! :)
We were a little further back in Section 13, row N. It was kinda far from the main stage, but were excited to see them walk up the stairs next to us to Stage C. I wish I’d been able to get closer to them though, I was like 6 seats from the stairs.
I also wish I’d taken my dslr camera with the zoom lens, because nobody was checking any bags. I could’ve also brought my HD camcorder and recorded some of the songs…
Either way, it was an awesome night, and the free cd’s were a pretty cool treat. We listened to it 3 times while waiting to leave the parking lot, lol.
I'll try to get some pics up later on, but they're not all that great since they're from my point and shoot.

wow.. i really can't get over that show last night. going into it i wasn't even that pumped because its the fourth time ive seen them this tour and i was mad the setlist was still about the same but they blew me away... again. without a doubt the best ive seen them on the viva tour. i was driving this morning blasting viva la vida and fix you and litii live and i just kept getting the biggest goosebumps thinking about last night..
but some other things i remembered about that concert that i thought were cool.. i loved at the end of violet hill when chris kept making up lyrics at the end of the song... i remember he said something about the show before being theyre shittiest show or something. i also liked how when the viva la vida remix was ending he played the ohohohohohhhs on the piano. but really all i have to say about last night is wow.
btw if anyone heard the obnoxious people starting the ohohohohohhhhs from viva while walking out of the concert... that was me.

I didn't take pics when they walked by because I didn't want to risk not touching them, instead I have the world's most chaotic, shambolic video  I might upload it to youtube later for laughs, I think it summarizes all Coldplayers- how insane we can be over a band :P
How did you get so many cds girl?!
mwahahaha! I said to the lady handing them out "got any signed ones left?" and she laughed and said "I don't know, but here, just take the box" and handed me the remainder of the box she was giving out  I was towards the back of the crowd because I was getting my setlist etc., so I think she just had to give them all away before everyone left

So I've had an account for a while now, but it turns out this is my very first post! I went to the show last night and I thought it was pretty darn sweet. I managed to take some video and I thought I would post it here. I used a Sony Cybershot which has decent video and even better audio. All of the videos are up now. Just a few notes:
~ I managed to record seven songs by myself and my sister got three. We had different seats. The only overlap is 42.
~ Camera shakes a lot. Either because I'm rocking out or because my arm started to hurt from holding the camera.
~ Enjoy!

PLUS!
there are three HUGE rvs out side like tour buses in the hotel parking lot... i think they might be them!!! :wacky:

COLDPLAY KARMA!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got home from all the excitement yesterday and am now catching up on my Coldplaying, and you and I were definitely at the same hotel. I wish I knew! My investigative snooping found out that the three buses belonged to Marilyn Manson's opening band, though. A far cry from Coldplay, sadly...
But for the show, I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said. An awesome time and well worth the 5 hour drive from Pennsylvania. They were amazing (as usual) and my seats were fantastic at about 15 rows back in Section 3. If only the B-stage was on OUR side, then it would have been incredible. OH, and Billie Jean was everything I hoped it would be!

Well, all of my videos are up now. Feel free to check them out on the last page.
JDFSX1 (Jesse), I saw your sign. You were maybe like 25 feet away from me. Section 7 right? I tried to nab a picture of it but you were dancing too much, haha. I was on the aisle of section 6. Watched the boys walk right by me on their way to stage C but didn't get a chance to capture video or touch them. Darn.

I was at the section 6 too but exactly in the middle but some rows to the front i mean in Row R,my seats are 15,16.And i had a really clear view of the b-stage and i saw Chris looking in my direction some times too at that time,Well while taking the bow i think at the end of death and all his friends,he bowed at us from the ramp where he runs on the other side to the stage and at the end after taking the bow, while going back to the backstage, i saw Chris looking in my direction suddenly turning back.:shocked2:
And also i too saw them going back to the c-stage.But suddenly i lost my concentration. But still i got up on chair to see them performing on the lawn i saw them just straight to me when i turned back there, but well i wasn't able to stand much and i got down after Chris just started green eyes.

This definitely ties for my favorite Coldplay concert ever with my May 21st concert :nice: I'll upload pictures and video tomorrow, I've got a lot including a chaotic video from when I touched them :P

a review (with pics and video) by Brooke
also, i apologize in advance for all the screaming/bad singing/bad filming in the videos. i was excited. :P the pics aren't so great, so i might try to take some screenshots from the videos and post those later. :)
oh geez, the videos are doing some funky thing where they speed up in certain parts... will have to fix that later as well. :(
this was my first Coldplay concert and it was AMAZING!!!
we (my two sisters Olivia and Harley and myself) arrived at the venue around 2, and there were only a few girls in line at that time. as it got later and later, the line of people in the middle became huge, but we were off to the side, so when they finally let us up to the doors we were almost in first.
http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/184/1030419p.jpg (http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/184/1030419p.jpg)
we had lawn seats, so as soon as we entered the section i searched for the c-stage. it was way over to the left (looking at the stage) and we managed to snag seats right in front of it. i was already freaking out at that point, knowing that they'd eventually be within feet of us. and i saw Hoppy tuning up the guitars! :D

http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/6816/1030448c.jpg (http://img8.imageshack.us/i/1030448c.jpg/)
Kitty, Daisy & Lewis played... they were all right. not really the kind of music i like, but they weren't bad.
http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/8936/1030442.jpg (http://img190.imageshack.us/i/1030442.jpg/)

http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/8248/1030458.jpg (http://img25.imageshack.us/i/1030458.jpg/)

Chris was great. the hair talk at the b-stage- something about them being on tour for as long as three inches of curly hair, and that they'd keep on touring until people mistook him for Michael Bolton. then in VLV It was the wicked and wild wind// I just wiped something off of my chin
the crowd was amazing, too.
then came the c-stage...

http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/1379/1030426.jpg
:P" then said something about Guy entering on America's Got Talent and being a naked Flamenco dancer (to which i may have said YEAHHH!).
http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/2072/1030486.jpg (http://img39.imageshack.us/i/1030486.jpg/)
http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/4876/1030489.jpg (http://img18.imageshack.us/i/1030489.jpg/)
and then it was over. :(
BUT I HAVE CHRIS' HARMONICA, SO BAM!:dance:
http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/5571/1030494.jpg
so a VERY big thanks to everyone who sent me lots of Coldplay karma. :wacky::hug:
Woah!
I guess YOU had a good night.
I had a pretty good night myself... :dozey:
I got butterfly confetti!! :wacky:

MANSFIELD, Mass. — So it seems Coldplay sweats after all.
If you hadn’t seen the kazillion-selling British band before Monday night at the Comcast Center (raises hand), it seemed worth wondering about. Their hooks are as big as the sheds and arenas they play in, and the choruses beg for sing-alongs, but on record they seem more suited for a chilly British winter or a crisp New England fall than a sweaty outdoor rock ’n’ roll party.
Well, there’s still a bit of that quality, but for most of the nearly two-hour show Monday night, the band (plus, it sounded like, a backstage musician or two) brought the poundage to their clean, crisp anthems.
While singer and pianist Chris Martin did his manic-marionette routine, he peppered his patter with relatively clever pandering to the Massachusetts crowd. And guitarist Jon Buckland was a secret weapon, grinding away on sing-along ballads such as the breakthrough single “Yellow” and “Glass of Water,” while bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion brought real muscle to even the clinical single “Clocks.”
The band headed up to the lawn for an acoustic trio of "Green Eyes," the new "Death Will Not Conquer" (sung by Champion) and a full, respectable version of "Billie Jean" before returning to the main stage to tear into "Politik," and a U2-like "Lovers in Japan." A hushed "The Scientist" and a joyful "Life in Technicolor" were the encores.

as soon as the doors opened we rushed inside and to the lawn section, but it wasn't exactly necessary. not a lot of people knew about the c-stage, including one of the security guards from the venue.
the funniest thing was hearing people walk by and ask why someone would choose to sit there, seeing as when we were sitting down the gate blocked the view of the stage. if only they knew.

My earlier review was from late last night, I feel like I didn't do the show justice.
I actually thought the lawn was highly underrated. During Fix You, a bunch of us got in a line, put our arms around each other, and swayed back and forth. Complete strangers, all of us. It was awesome.
As for the C-Stage, I'm glad I did my research beforehand. My friends actually wanted to be in the center of the lawn and didn't believe me when I said we should stick next to the stage. The guys proved them wrong when they came up, of course. :laugh3:
Elbow sounded fairly Radiohead-like to me, but I still enjoyed their set. Kitty, Daisy & Lewis were fine, but their kind of music seemed very out of place to me next to Coldplay and Elbow.
That was actually my first time seeing Coldplay live - I missed them when they played Boston last October. They went above and beyond what I expected.
I'm already looking forward to the next show (and album of course) - and fully suffering from post-concert depression.

When Chris says that last nights concert wasn't good he is kidding around. When he said APW wasnt a good concert he just says it to get the people riled up,to make the present concert the best.
He always says that about a previous concert..
CRYSTAL
05-08-2009, 06:48 PM
Yes i totally agree with you there.I know that he's joking at that point.Because he totally knows that we audience did very good job to see them in APW even in mud.
And standing for hours. Then how can he say like that about us.
He just want to raise the enthusiasm of audience in every concert they go so they say like that.
But any way both of the shows are amazing to me though.
But APW i am really unbelievably closer to them but even this show i've my own memories.

a review (with pics and video) by Brooke
also, i apologize in advance for all the screaming/bad singing/bad filming in the videos. i was excited.

Chris was great. the hair talk at the b-stage- something about them being on tour for as long as three inches of curly hair, and that they'd keep on touring until people mistook him for Michael Bolton. then in VLV It was the wicked and wild wind// I just took something off my chin
the crowd was amazing, too.
then came the c-stage...

:P" then said something about Guy entering on America's Got Talent and being a naked Flamenco dancer (to which i may have said YEAHHH!).

http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/4876/1030489.jpg (http://img18.imageshack.us/i/1030489.jpg/)
and then it was over. :(
BUT I HAVE CHRIS' HARMONICA, SO BAM!:dance:

so a VERY big thanks to everyone who sent me lots of Coldplay karma. :wacky::hug:

I got to the venue a little bit after 2:30 with my two younger sisters and we were the first ones there. Shortly after that a group of girls arrived and I figured out it must have been Brooke because she had the Coldplay puppets that she had made with her but I didn't say anything because I thought she might think "Who the heck is this weirdo stranger?" :laugh3: I thought your puppets were awesome btw!
When we were waiting in line I saw Jackie walking around with the venue security, she's pretty hard to miss with that impressive fro she's sporting
After they let us in around 6pm we ran like crazy to get to pit and not that many people had made it there yet so we got front row, right in between Chris and Guy!!
The only downside to our spot was some really bitchy girl standing next to Lauren (cold_love23) who was a complete space hog
Watching all of the roadies is always an event, trying to spot and name them is a fun game to play when you're waiting for the show to start so we did just that and managed to see Matt, Bash, Hoppy, Miller, Franksy, Rick and Vicki.
During Kitty, Daisy & Lewis' set I had a good view of the stage door (it's wasn't really a door so much as an opening which they later covered with black curtains) and could see various roadies moving in and out and also saw Chris arriving. He was wearing a white t-shirt with a hat, sunglasses and a scarf (why the hell he was wearing a scarf I have no idea, it was friggin hot out).
A few minutes later I spotted Marianne taking a look at the stage and didn't even notice Will standing behind her at first  I pointed them out to Lauren and she started freaking out (she's a HUGE Will fan) I think Will might have seen me staring at him because we were the only ones looking in his direction, everyone else was concentrating on the opening act.
Then Elbow came on and they were brilliant. Guy is an AMAZING performer and really got the crowd excited. He seems like such a sweetheart.
Then I spotted Chris again, this time he was behind the black curtain-type thing on Guy's (Berryman) side of the stage where Hoppy tunes the guitars/basses and stuff and he was sitting on the floor barefoot just watching Elbow's set.
It was really awesome to see him just chilling out watching the show. My sister asked if I wanted to take a picture of him but I figured if he saw us taking pictures he would leave and I wanted him to be able to enjoy watching Elbow.
Finally it was time for Coldplay and even though it was my 7th time seeing them I was still SO excited, the sparkler thing will never cease to be awesome and the dropping of the black curtain at the end of LiT :o
I won't go through all of the songs since they played the same setlist at the last concert I went to (with the exception of Billie Jean, which was fantastic btw).
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh51/ohbrilliant/photo-1.jpghttp://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh51/ohbrilliant/photo.jpghttp://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh51/ohbrilliant/photo-6.jpg
(These are all pretty blurry but I only had my phone with me :( )
I sang along to every song and danced a lot; I have no idea during which songs but I made made eye contact with Chris, Guy and Jonny (Will was very into drumming and had his eyes closed for most of VLV, crazy man :P). Chris even made one of his goofy faces at me at one point and I also got one of the glowsticks that he threw in the crowd during Lost! which made my night.
Lauren almost got the pick that Chris threw into the crowd because it landed on her shoe but the guy behind her picked it up first and gave it to his girlfriend. They were both really nice so she didn't feel too bad about not getting it.
The guys really seemed to enjoy themselves and I thought the crowd was on the louder side of concerts I've been to ( at least from where I was). It was the last show of the VLV tour for me so I made sure to scoop up lots of butterflies and soak it all in because I know they won't be coming around for a while and even then it'll be a totally different tour.
I have to say I've honestly loved every aspect of this tour, the awesome globe screens, the confetti, the yellow balloons, the different stages, the ramps. It's been a fantastic year of Coldplay music and concerts and I'm so grateful to the boys (and their crew) for doing what they do. They've definitely made this year unforgettable and I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
I didn't really take many pics or video because I wanted to be in the moment and enjoy it but I'm very grateful to all of you who went and took videos and stuff, I'll be roaming through this post to see all of your goodies

Till now i've been to 9 from last year since i beginned to see them from Today show. And ever since then i always had lot of experiences with Chris in each and every concert. He almost recognizes me when ever i go to a show.
The most highlight for me is the APW festival where i was just in front of him at one point at b-stage.:shocked2:Man...:shocked2:wow seriously unbelievable.
He tried to get me look at him but i was some what shocked and kept my face to other side while he was looking at me.He was reading my feelings like anything damn..:shocked2::sneaky:
Well any way here too at Mansfield he looked and waved at my direction some times during some songs. So well..any way all over unforgettable tour to me too.
And in all the tours they did this one really is most amazing. The viva tour is memorable and favorite for me.:)And this is my last concert in this tour too.:(

Coldplay returned to MA this past week for their third visit to the Bay State in under a year. While the last two shows promoting their 2008 album, Viva La Vida, were held at the TD Garden, this Monday they graced the stage at the Comcast Center in Mansfield.
Manchester-based band Elbow opened for their fellow Brits; their five members playing a lighter sound than their headliners. Back in England they have ten top 50 singles and four studio albums; in America you've probably heard their music in trailers for "House" or the film Burn After Reading. The began by mellowing out the crowd with slow-churning songs "The Bones of You" and "Mirrorball." Thankfully there was a pleasant awakening a few songs into the set, pumping up the crowd with more volume and a faster beat. The best audience response came from "Grounds for Divorce," one of their stronger singles from the new album The Seldom Seen Kid.
Elbow is very similar to Coldplay's softer side, and after their set the crowd was ready for more. Cue the lights, and enter Chris Martin center stage. The singer's silhouette is highlighted by golden light and the night begins with "Live in Technicolor," a perfect choice for a show opener with it's rush of sound to build the excitement. The laser-lit amphitheater resembles a rave of some sort, with a whole section waving around neon glow sticks in the front row. Flashing lights and oversized balloons raining confetti upon explosion inflate the Comcast Center during "Yellow," and everyone grabs their significant other and sways to the tune of "Fix You."
For every show the band likes to see how the back of the crowd is doing, taking their set to the nosebleeds to give fans on the lawn a chance to be in the front row. After a couple of songs they decide to weigh in on current events with an ode to Michael Jackson, playing an acoustic cover of "Billie Jean." Martin had the falsetto down and hee-hee'd like a pro with the crowd as his backup singers. After running back to the stage for an incredible performance of "Viva La Vida," they segued right into "Politik," where the lights changed and chests thumped with every pound of the piano keys.
Coldplay left Massachusetts with a three-song encore and complementary gifts. Each person in attendance received a free live CD containing nine tracks recorded in the last leg of the Viva La Vida tour; a great ending to an even better concert.

So the Mansfield Massachusetts show was my first Coldplay concert ever. And all I can say is, it. Was. Amazing. Period. That was seriously the best night of my life. My friend Kate and went with her older brother and his friends, but Kate and I had separate seats away from them. We arrived at the Comcast center like a half hour before the doors opened, at 7pm. There was no reason getting there wicked early, because it wasn't general admission so we didn't have to fight to get seats. So, we're waiting outside for the doors to open, and I bought a Life In Technicolor shirt. It was 40 dollars, which I thought was kind if a lot. Also they were giving out free Monster Energy Drinks, and I took one. Which quickly made me hyper, haha. Then the doors opened and Kate and I made our way to our seats. When we found our seats, we were very dissapointed. The tickets we had bought were over a hundred dollars, and our seats were way in the back, by the lawn. And there was a huge camera, directly in our way! I went down and complained to this worker that we couldn't see. I wasn't really serious and I really thought she was just going to tell me, "Oh well, there's nothing I can do..." But to my surprise, she took both of our tickets and wrote new seat numbers on them, and handed them back. She told us where to go and who to show the tickets to, and she was extremely nice. When we got to our new seats, we were so happy! We had been moved so much closer! All the way from section 13 in the back, up to section 5. Pretty soon the openers started, and I wasn't too thrilled with them. I didn't like Kitty, Daisy, & Lewis, but Elbow was good. Some music played after the openers, U2, rap, classical, and then the lights went out and Life In Technicolor started with the band coming on stage waving sparklers, I was so excited it was beyond belief! Later Chris stated that the band had played their shitiest concert last night, so they had to play their best tonight to make up for it. That received a lot of cheers. Clocks sported a laser show along with it.

Lovers in Japan, I loved the giant slideshow that went along with the lyrics. Also, tons and tons of butterfly confetti fell from the ceiling.

During the show when the band squished onto the little B stage for a few songs, I thought it was amazing how they all fit and still were able to play! Chris sang a little song about New England that he made up, which was so funny. They also went to another small stage in the back by the lawn and played a few songs.
http://i28.tinypic.com/9jobrt.png
After they got off the B stage, the thumping beat of Viva La Vida started. At the end of Viva La Vida, Chris lay on the ground as if he were dead. HAHA that was great. :) Then all of a sudden he did a backwards summersault, and Lost! started up. The show ended with Life In Technicolor ii, which was breath taking. The paintings that were up on the screen behind the band were beautiful too. Here's some more pictures of the show:

Sorry if I took up so much room with the pictures! So when it was over I walked away with my new Life In Technicolor shirt, free LeftRightLeftRightLeft cd, and a hand full of confetti. It's been a while since the concert so some of my details might be a little fuzzy, I was trying to remember. So all in all, the concert was absolutely amazing! It's all I've been thinking about since. Haha. I was like on a literal high the next day after, it was insane. I can't wait until they come back to Massachusetts and I can go again. Now my only dream would be to meet Chris Martin (lol like that will ever happen). I think that would pretty much make my life complete. Or as complete as a fifteen year old's life can be. ;)

The Mansfield show was great, I thought. My sis and I (merryberry9) were in the front row of the pit, and the employee there said it was the first sell-out of the CC's season. I don't have the best camera, but here is a short vid I took - right before my camera died during the intro. :dozey:
