I'm so excited they are coming back. But I'm not sure If i can make it yet, money is tight and the drive for me is nearly 4 hours.
It's technically in Chula Vista, not too far from the border.

I've never "concert stalked" before, so while I'm undoubtedly hitting the Carson show, I've got quite a few relatives spread out across San Diego (including cousins in Spring Valley) that I could easily stay with if I really feel so obsessive to go to this, too. Economic situation says no, but the thought of Coldplay probably negates any thrift store shopping I'll be forced to do for a month. I'll sleep on it. :D

These prices are correct! Do not forget those added on fee's which will take the top tickets over $120!

I couldn't use the presale, but I got tickets [finally]!! They're WAY in the back, but I don't really care! My parents were willing to pay for expensive ones, which i appreciated cuz it shows they care :D We did pretty good for our first time buying tickets for a concert. I purchased tickets to the show during the Ticket Rush presale. My friend was able to get better seats. I now have 3 (hard tickets) to the Coldplay Show at the Cricket for July 16th. I have been debating on attending this show or the Irvine show but since I have already seen them in Irvine in 2005, this show won. Ticketmaster still has tickets for section 200's, has anyone ever been to the venue? I am thinking of either getting tickets in section 200 or even Lawn seats.. i've always been spoiled with having good seats for every Coldplay show I have attended and have never had Lawn before but I think it may be fun :D I already have really good seats for Carson, so I am leaning towards getting the lawn. For those that have had lawn seats before, did you like it?

Yeah, I am driving down from Vegas with my best friend. We are actually staying at two hotels because we couldn't get two nights in a row at just one hotel. Wednesday night we are staying at the Lafayette hotel and Thursday night we are staying at the Dana on Mission bay(managed to get our room at 50% off during their summer sale!) really just looking forward to this, I took the whole week off from work and am going to three Coldplay shows, I can't wait! please forgive my ignorance, but i have never had "PIT" tickets before and i have a pair. i am worried that it is going to be somewhat of a nightmare for my pregnant wife. is there seating or is this just a free for all?
tickets do have a row and seat on them. i have been trying to call the place all week long and no answer. any help would be awesome.

Well you picked a great band to see as your first concert:D
You should bring money of course:P So you can buy Coldplay stuff(shirts, tour book, etc.) A camera so that you can take pictures(sometimes security is weird about cameras so you might have to hide it when they check you(aka some place they wont want to look) If you have GA Pit tix then you are going to want to get there early so you can get a good spot buy the front. If you have a assigned seat then you are set. I hope that this has helped a bit, you are going to have a great time!!!

I live very close to the venue and I know traffic on the 805 during a concert is horrible. Therefore, I plan on taking the city street to get there, but I've never taken this route before. Have any locals taken this route (Heritage road, driving by all the junkyards)? If so, should I be able to make it there in time before Coldplay comes on stage? (Unfortunately, the earliest I can leave is 7 pm, so I am a little paranoid that I may be late even by going on city streets). Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

At the concert yesterday in Wheatland, the young lady with screen ID ColdplayRulesTheWorld said that her poster was confiscated at the entrance gate by security. They said it would block others' view so it might not be a good idea to spend time making one.

Yesterday's show was fantastic, the most enjoyable night of my life! Chris was at his best and gave a great show. He has a certain golden glow about his aura. His energy and endurance are remarkable. It was a beautiful show. I will never forget it. We had great seats, front and center, right behind the pit. I could see and hear them perfectly. The whole experience seems surreal, looking back on it, as if I had dreamt the whole thing. I hope you all have a great time tomorrow! Lucky you!!!!

The first act http://www.myspace.com/kittydaisyandlewis, from the UK I missed, but the second one, who played from about 7:45-8:30 was http://www.amadou-mariam.com/, a blind black couple from Africa who put on a rich, culturally authentic performance at the 7/13 and 7/14 shows. They have a band with percussion instruments including bongos which gave the whole performance a unique, almost mysterious sound, with two African women singers/dancers who each took turns doing what looked like a trance dance, a spirited, rapturous dance. I felt as if I were in the jungles of Africa with the echo of the bongos and blissful singing. They were fantastic and I highly recommend that you try to get there to catch their act. Chris spoke highly of both acts.

I'd get there around 7:30/8 for this show. I saw the opening acts on Saturday with them, and the first one was just alright. Amadou et Miriam are wonderful though! So be sure to get there in time for them. They're the perfect sunset-on-a-hot-day band.

So I just drove down there and the guy at the gate told me they're not letting people park till 430. The parking was open for the water park but not the amphitheater. Didn't see any people lined up outside any of the gates either...so for people with pit tix I guess you should show up around 4 so we can get in line...

Thanks to all of you, I've enjoyed reading your tweet posts here. I've been lurking, reading them to bring back memories of the 7/13 and 7/14 concerts I attended at Shoreline and Wheatland. I had awesome seats at the Wheatland show and it seemed as if I was in a dream or something. I still feel in a bit of a daze over the whole experience. "Now my feet won't touch the ground!"

I'm surprised people can text from the middle of a concert like that. In a few minutes it will all be over :( Coldplay and especially Chris Martin are pure heartbreakers. I've always thought that.

Yeah, I tried to make some noise, but the person in front of me (one of those people who kinda just watch the whole time) already sat down. So I just screamed for an encore, cuz I really wanted to hear L.I.T. II and the Scientist. Let's see if the audience got an encore going....

Yeah, the tourbook was pretty cool. $20 though....but it's a nice book. Got lyrics for Prospekt's March and Viva, and all that. (Who is Prospekt anyway?) And my favorites, the puppets, were on the cover. ^^

Ok boys and girls i have returned from the concert but i wont post pics and vids till tomorrow bc i am EXHAUSTED!!! i had been in line since 130 and have been standing in that sun and in the FIRST ROW of the pit all day and night so im hitting the sack dreaming of how awesome tonight was...BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT I could EVER ask for...Hope everyone gets back safe and Ill be back tomorrow with pics and vids for you all to enjoy!!!
