Will anybody go to the Festival in Arras that will last four days but you could only go one day if you want to. Arras is located in Northern France, close to Lille. Coldplay will be there on 2nd of July, the following day Placebo will perform, then the following days Lenny Kravitz, Moby, and Duffy.

Moreover if I'm only buying a one day ticket for Arras and that I discover later that some cool bands are added on the 3 4 or 5th I will pay much more for a one day ticket + a 3 days pass. I'm thus waiting in order to know if I'm going to buy a one day ticket or a 4 days pass... or nothing (and in this case I'd go to the Heineken festival in Poland or the Wechter...)

I've just had a look on SNCF website and I notice the latest trains to go back to Paris are at 10.30 pm. It's quite early. They don't show July trains schedules though, it's too early. I'm wondering whether people could get trains at midnight or so to enable them to see the whole performance and not quit to get their train. :dozey: I'm waiting to see how i could get back home after the show. If the latest train is at 10.30 pm i couldn't attend the festival.

you know there's this dutch concert called pinkpop, and they have a general rule every year: they announce the entire line up on wednesday (march 4th this year) and sale will start the saturday after (so the 7th) I say that's a good rule and werchter and arras should do it the same way!

Carla : the thing is... you know, I might love jumping in a crowd and being dirty after a concert, I'm actually really into hygiene and camping would be VERY hard for me :lol:, so if I could avoid that by going to Arras, I'd be happy.
But my summer is quite uncertain this year, didn't find any student job, don't even know if I'm staying in England or not, might want to follow Dolores O'Riordan and Gossip across Europe...etc so it's very hard to plan anything and I guess I'll have to end up staying in Paris, working and not doing any of the gigs I wanna enjoy.
Anyway that's why I cannot buy any ticket without being a 100% sure that I really wanna attend a festival, and Arras sounds like the best choice for me if I wanna have fun this summer.
I wish I could go to Werchter with you, see KoL and have a blast of a time but anyway... maybe I'll try to find a ticket to see KoL at London's O2 in june, which would be ok.

And yeah, livenation way of selling tickets is a shame... actually we're still far from English festivals, Glaston sold out whereas we didn't know A SINGLE name this year. Crazy.

The local councils of Haacht and Rotselaar have ordered all camp-site supervisors to provide free washing facilities (taps) & toilet paper and a sufficient amount of free lavatories on their camp sites. They are allowed, however, to charge for extra facilities such as showers.


I think I read somehwre they'd chagre 4,50 for showering but I really don't care, asl long as it's clean for that price i;ll do it.
I also read the showers would only be open at certain hours, which means lots of tiem in between to clean them ;) also asl nog as you're standing on flip flops, how bad can it be right?

i need some help, i dont know what to expect like how many hours will coldplay perform? what to wear? how to get back to paris? when will the concert end? and at what hour should i be there before the gates open?

mais au fur et à mesure de la soirée je finissais par me rapprocher de la scène, avec les gens qui partaient acheter à boire ou à manger par exemple :)
édit: pour radiohead le dimanche soir, à l'ouverture des portes j'étais à une dizaine de mètre, et quand radiohead est arrivé sur scène après 20h j'étais à 5-6 mètres ;)

il ne faut pas oublier que c'est un jeudi, et qu'une partie des gens qui viendront le soir travailleront surement la journée

mais 2 heures avant l'ouverture, tu vas être en première ligne, c'est presque certain :lol:

Je suis une vraie fan mais je n'ai pas acheté de billet car je ne suis pas sûre de pouvoir y aller. C'est vrai qu'à ce prix-là, ça vaut la peine. De plus, je vais à un concert de qui vous savez dix jours plus tard, je viens de réserver un autre concert pour novembre, et un en septembre comme vous tous. Ca fait beaucoup. Nous sommes 3. Je ne sais pas si vous avez lu sur la page d'accueil, après cette tournée mondiale ils vont se reposer un moment sans tournée. Ca doit être fatiguant de changer de ville tous les deux jours et tout déballer à chaque fois, instruments et autres, répétitions (sound checking), ...
