Yaaaaaay! Finally! I've been hoping and waiting for this for months!
I have to save up much money, because I already have tickets for Wembley Sep 19th and I can't leave that out! I'm definitely trying to get tickets to this. :D
These news totally made my day.

Oh...my!
They're going to DK! I can't believe it!
I wonder if my parents will let me go...
I want to go there to!
Would someone from you translate this for me please?
Billetpriser:
Inderscene Ståplads: 595,00 DKK + gebyr
Alm. Ståplads: 450,00 DKK + gebyr
As far as I understand both are standing tickets?? The first category seems to be closer to the stage and the second further away. Or what does Ståplads mean?
Google translator doesn't work for it.
And holy shit, tickets are even more expensive than in Germany :(
And I had no idea that you guys don't have €! :sombrero:

Yeah, they're pretty expensive, I think so too... :\
I'm so excited though!
Thank you!!
Can't wait to see Coldplay and your country Denmark

So what's the difference? They have like two standing areas? And no seating?
I might go to this one, although it's expensive. € 80,- + shipping costs and fees...

Yep, they have only standing areas. The first one is closer to the stage.

I think you can print the ticket at home. That's not so expensive then. Still expensive, though.
So that everyone knows how awesome mc_squared is... thanks to him I will be able to visit this concert! :earmuffs: Thanks again.
I only got a ticket that is further away.. but who knows maybe this will be better in the end. More time for Denmark, stalking..., then I don't have to queue the whole day, and since it's Open Air, I will be able to enjoy the athmosphere and don't have to run like a nutcase.
Clocks In My Place
13-12-2008, 11:02 PM
mc_squared got you a ticket? :surprised: Cool. They still have tickets for sale on the website though.
My mothers boyfriend ordered for my big brother and me two inner standing tickets (yay!) and ordinary standing tickets for himself and my mother.
Unfortunately, we've got two tickets too much right now, because you weren't able to order the inner standing tickets from the start, which were the ones that my brother and I wanted. So four ordinary tickets was ordered, but then the function came to the site after 1½ hour (!). :\
Yes, but I don't have a credit card :embarassed:
Well, can't wait for the gig and hopefully to meet some Danish fans.
RoosAnne
14-12-2008, 11:20 AM
we aren't that many danish fans here on coldplaying.
but at least you can meet Julie and I :D:D
Clocks In My Place
14-12-2008, 02:45 PM
Yup that's right. ;) :D It'd be cool if we met each other by chance.
I got the tickets by mail yesterday btw, so that went fast. :nice:
I'm excited about seeing what size the innerscene area is.
RoosAnne
14-12-2008, 05:29 PM
I tried to google MCH arena and found this picture ..
Guess the innerscene is the part of the arena closest to the stage, right?
The innerscene doesn't seem that big though, which actually is a good thing - then the chance of FRONT ROW is bigger:D:D.
http://mch.dk/presse/fotos/genesis-stor.jpg
You already got your tickets? Great! :wideeyed:
I'm always so scared they could get lost in the mail, haha.
How many people fit in the MCH arena at all? Maybe I should get one of these seats... as I am rather small. Gah, last time I was front row, can't believe I will be so far away this time... but at least I will see other people in front of me now, makes you feel more to be a part of the crowd, I guess.
Hope you guys get front row :sultan:
Clocks In My Place
14-12-2008, 10:40 PM
Thanks for the photo RoosAnne - just what I needed. That was what I was thinking/hoping; the smaller the innerscene area is, the bigger is the chance for front row. :P
Do you have any idea how many people there are in this picture?
Thanks G o A. I hope we get front row too. :D
I was just thinking... there's a line... space... between both areas, I should get there, maybe Chris is running past :p
MCH Messecenter Herning, MCH Herning Kongrescenter, and SAS Arena
SAS Arena comprises:
* 7,300 seats
* 4,500 standing places
I'm confused. The name of the arena seems actually to be "SAS Arena", the rest around it is called "MCH".
http://www.mikaellykmadsen.dk/skyscrapercity/herningflyvetur/flyvetur16.jpg
http://www.mikaellykmadsen.dk/skyscrapercity/herningflyvetur/flyvetur17.jpg
No idea, if they will play in that stadium, or like in the first picture, Roos Anne has posted.
But only around 12.000 people? I thought it'd be more. (But I like it smaller anyway :square: )
RoosAnne
15-12-2008, 02:09 PM
thanks G o A - hope you get the place you're looking for too.:)
I don't know how many people fit in the arena, can't find it on the internet too, but it seems to be quite a lot..
It shouldn't be that hard to get front row though. We just have to be there early.
I'm soooooo exited. And since this will be the first concert of their european stadium tour, it may get really nice - (Probably a new setlist and other surprises)!!:D:D
I hope so. I love surprises :happy2:
RoosAnne
15-12-2008, 02:36 PM
Now I'm confused too:) but on my ticket it says "MHC outdoor arena".
SAS arena is the football stadium of the local football club ..
Then I guess it will be like in the photo you have posted...!
As it seemed there is going to be a Camp Coldplay :wacky: I wrote an e-mail to MCH.
That's what I got back:
Dear Marina
Thanks very much for your mail and your interest in the Coldplay concert.
We are working on making an english version of the website, so more people will have the possibility to follow our preparations for the concert.
The plans for Camp Coldplay are not final yet, but we are thinking about making a camp very close to the concert arena, where fans can stay before and after the concert. It will be affordable and it will probably be possible to buy a complete package including a tent for those who do not want to bring their own.
We will make sure the site will get an English version and then you just have check for updates and news. It will also be possible to sign up for news on the e-mail or on your cell phone.

That sounds awesome!
The local camp-site doesn't write back to me, and the hostel is already booked out...!! (The hotel just next to the arena is a way too eeeexpensive)
I guess I will feel pretty lost in the middle of so many Danish fans.. but well, I haven't camped for a while, so this will be getting exciting!

A Camp? Nice, that'll sure be better than staying at a hostel if you live far away from Herning.
And sleeping between bunches and bunches of Coldplay fans....fancy:smug:

I'm sure it will create a special atmosphere :')

It sounds fun though. :)

10-01-2009, 04:38 PM
hi guys,
has anybody heard more about the coldplay camp?:)
No, no new news yet (What a sentence).
I signed up for their newsletter, and on the homepage there's nothing new yet, either.
They should finally get that done... :P
At least my ticket will arrive in the next few days finally... :smug:
RoosAnne
10-01-2009, 10:26 PM
yeah, quite funny sentence:lol:.
Even though the concert is months away, I hope they'll soon tell us some more about this camp:P.
haven't you received the ticket for the concert yet?
No, someone from this board bought it for me, and now I wil get it, cos he was on vacation :square:
Do you want to sleep at the camp too?
RoosAnne
11-01-2009, 03:16 PM
oh, I see.:)
yes, I'm thinking of sleeping there..
I live an hour away from Herning, but I think the atmosphere at that camp is gonna be indescribable right after the concert.
Just want to experience every single thing which has something to do with 'Coldplay-in-Herning':P.

---
I'm trying to win some more Danish Coldplay fans to coldplaying - I've written a little "advert" in my comment to the Lost! video in the TV music show Boogie. :D
---

:inquisitive:........ Aaah, Google Translate? :P
Well, I don't really know how popular it is, to be honest. :\ I think it was a better program "back in the old days".
I still remember the very first time I saw/heard "The Scientist". :wacky: I was not even or did not become a fan back then - I must have been 10-11 years old. But I still remember it - It was that epic and beautiful!
Anyway, it's just me personally who don't have music channels, because I haven't got cable tv or stuff like that. I can see 4 channels. :dozey: I think there is some Danish MTV and something called Voice... Maybe the other Danes know more about that. ;)

Yeah, just 4 channels. :\ The one of them is just a news channel. At least I get my mothers' boyfriend to record the Grammy awards on ProSieben. :) He's got lots of channels!
No, I don't live close to Herning. Actually I live in the complete opposite end of Denmark, (Bornholm), and have to drive through the country. :dozey:

Uhm, yeah with parabolic you can watch lots of channels. CNN, Animal Planet, MTV, Hallmark, German channels... And my mothers boyfriend's got LOTS of parabolic. :stunned: But I think he only watches German channels and channels that transmit American football. :P
Haha, it probably is.
That's cool. ;) So it'd be stupid to ask if you will see Coldplay in Herning.
Seems he is rather going to Düsseldorf than Herning, ohohohoh *g*
Larry
06-02-2009, 08:46 PM
Hehe, well Coldplay concerts aren't cheap, so I only bought tickets for Hannover and Düsseldorf. But Herning would have been great, too. I like your country! :nice:
So how do you travel to Herning? By car? That seems to be a long way... :o:)
Don't know if you meant me, but I will travel by train :)
Btw. I wished I would be able to decipher Danish so good too. I only can make out some words.
Larry
06-02-2009, 09:06 PM
Well I meant Clocks In My Place, but it doesn't matter. :)
I still don't know whether to use the train to Düsseldorf. I will probably use my car as there won't be train connections back to Bremen at dead of night and I don't want to neither spend money for a hotel nor stay the night in a railway station.
Well Danish is a lot harder for me to decipher than Dutch I have to admit. But it's cool that all languages are more or less similar to each other. :)

Ah, I see. Well, I have saved up money (and still am - working without buying), so I will be going to both Herning and Wembley in 2009. :shy:
My mom, her boyfriend and my big brother (who lives in Jylland, Denmark) are going too, so we'll be going by car. :) It's not that bad, but that's maybe because I'm used to it from when I go visiting my brother. As long as the iPod is charged the drive can even be a pleasure. :D
Yeah, deciphering languages is a good thing being able to. Sometimes it goes alright for me, but I don't think I'm as good as Larry. ;)
Have you guys ever heard the language of Luxembourg? That's the most weird language I've ever heard. It's a combination of all countries around Luxembourg, it sounds so weird
Clocks In My Place
07-02-2009, 11:52 PM
No, I don't think I have. I'd like to hear it sometime, because that sounds weird. :freak: I'm often pretty bad at identifying languages I randomly hear.

Do you think they are going to use the tribunes? I mean there are only two types of tickets for purchasing and they are both standing tickets.
Probably they're using it. Your sight would be better... so I guess they're using it.
And you can stand on the tribune as well.
I really want to see more pictures of our place... gah! :karate:

Looking at the picture Roos posted it doesn't look like you get a better view from the tribunes as their so far out to the sides, IMO. But of course if you are thinking about the hight then maybe. :\
Whatever, I'm going for front row. :smug: :P
I want to see more pics too, but it seems impossible to find more on the internet of that arena.

Okay, looking at the pictures from http://mch.dk/presse/fotos.asp I can now see where the arena above is:
http://i508.photobucket.com/albums/s326/Coldplayfan/04-mch-alene-sydvest-outdoorarena.jpg
It's right where I have put the red ring.
http://i508.photobucket.com/albums/s326/Coldplayfan/05-mch-stadion-nordvest-ourdooraren.jpg
It's right where I have put the red ring.
So it seems we'll be standing on either grass or asphalt depending on where we stand.

As you can also see, there are plenty of hotels (the pink beds in the picture) in Herning (I was mainly thinking for you German fans) and one really near. :)
Yeah, I think it is there where you've marked it...!
And hotels? They plan to do that Coldplay Camp, but they're really taking their time... still haven't heard anything new about it.

I'm afraid you're right, Julie ..
Those who stay at the camp probably will start queuing in the night, I suppose.
I'm havin 1 ticket to sell, sadly :(
Please e-mail or pm me. I'd also trade the ticket for the concert in Berne.

Has the Coldplay camp been confirmed at all? People queuing in the night worry me quite a lot! I am quite short, only 160 cm, so my chances of seeing anything from anywhere behind the front row are slim.....
Nope. Haven't heard from it either. Maybe they are going to cancel it...?

Hey people!
I heard you were looking for some information on the Coldplay concert here in Herning..
Let's see if I can't help you a little :)
So what's the difference? They have like two standing areas? And no seating?
The "Inderscene" is the area closest to the stage, and the other are the tickets further back. Seating is available as part of the hospitality package which is priced at 1500,00 DKK.
Has the Coldplay camp been confirmed at all?
Coldplay Camp has opened for reservations. If you're danish or understand danish you can read more here: http://www.koncerteriherning.dk/coldplay/camp_coldplay.htm
For those of you who speak english, you can contact Stina Ulriksen on +45 9926 9926 or via mail: stu@mch.dk
You can either bring your own tent, or buy a package in which a tent is set up and ready when you arrive.
---
I also saw someone asking what the capacity for MCH Outdoor Arena is, and we estimate a max of 45.000 people at the Coldplay concert. The football stadium is called SAS Arena and has a capacity of approx. 12.000 people, but this is NOT where the concert will be held.
Some of you were asking for pictures of the area which you can find here:
http://mch.dk/UK/press/download.asp
There are no images of MCH Outdoor Arena, as Coldplay is the first actual concert to be held there, so you'll all be part of the opening of this new area.
I hope I answered your questions - Feel free to post more and I'll see if I can't help you :)
Regards, Jeppe from MCH.

There's a hotel just next to the arena, I forgot its name though.

Hey people..
Just a quick update on the status of concert here in august.
The hotel next to the arena is called Hotel Herning - you can find it here: http://www.hotelherning.dk/
We just had our "practice run" with the Springsteen concert on wednesday, and all the logistics and planning went smoothly.. 51.000 people in and out without problems.
The train stops at the MCH station, just a couple of minutes walk from MCH Outdoor Arena.. There will also be shuttle busses from the city-station to the outdoor arena.
If you want to see som aerial footage from the arena from the Springsteen concert, you can find it here: http://www.mch.dk/kultur_event/bruce_tv.asp
Some of you have been speculating in where the Outdoor Arena actually is - Well, here is a little map with the arena, train station and hotel. http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/8404/mchy.jpg
And just a couple of pics from the Springsteen concert, so you can see what it's like :)

One more thing: Warming up for Coldplay will be White Lies (UK) and Moi Caprice (DK)..
Any further question feel free to ask :) Cya in Herning in August.

Anyone know who the "Special Guest" is?
To be honest, I don't think there is a "special guest"... It's only billetlugen.dk (and the tickets), not coldplay.com who says that there'll be a special guest. Maybe they are thinking of the support acts. Just my oppinion though.

Hello again people..! We're getting close now..!
Everything is running smoothly getting ready - We just hosted something called Green Concert, a charity event attended by approx. 35.000 people, so our crew is surely warmed up to take care of you all at the Coldplay concert.
To answer some questions:
Thank you very much, Jeppe!:nice:
I'd like to know how big the inner-scene is.. How many people can be in there?
I don't have the precise number of people who have access to this area, but I would guess that it's about 2.000 - 3.000 people.. No matter where you're at in this area, you have a great view of the stage...
Thank you, Jeppe. :)
Where is there going to be car parking?
Pretty much every open space around the Outdoor Arena will be used for parking. At the springsteen concert, the parking lot farthest away was a 20 minute walk, but people who parked here were able to go directly from the parking lot on to the freeway.
---
Hope to see you at the concert
Jeppe from MCH.

2 days to go to Coldplay in Herning - but do not forget the rain coat (maybe an umbrella is not such a good idea as it might be quite windy! And the umbrella might block the views of other concert goers!) It should be more than 20degrees Celsius, maybe a little sun, some rain showers and maybe thunder as well! So the weather might constitute competition for the boys !!
For those able to watch Swedish Television: SVt1 = Channel 1, Sweden on Tuesday 18 August at 20 o'clock to 20.50: Coldplay now and then. No place for a camera? LOL but definitely a good idea. I might try it!

Thank you, Valypan - I also wish you a good night with plenty of sleep.
I wish everyone a wonderful , unforgettable and peaceful concert and hope that all members of the band and the crew are fit for fight so that they can give another unforgettable performance. :)
I look forward to hearing Chris speak a few Danish words. When he did that at the Roskilde festival, I was very impressed - very good pronunciation, indeed. :)
I also look forward to Chris rolling round just before starting singing "Lost" (immediately after Viva la Vida). :)
VIVA LA VIDA ! :laugh3:

I came in right as Lovers i Japan started. But the jerk wasn't a fan, he couldn't answer the questions and it became obvious that he searched the answers on the internet. :dozey:

No, I didn't :(.
Which songs from Roskilde did they play?

RoosAnne:
No, I didn't .
Which songs from Roskilde did they play?
RoosAnne: I wrote you a PM on this and a message for you. Please read my PM and confirm having read it!
The answer to your question: Viva la Vida (and a qualified guess "In My Place" where Chris Martin after finishing the song says: Tak, tak, tak (very little accent, very good pronunciation). I have written much more about today's quiz in the PM, so read this and please confirm having read it!
I really must be going - as I have two trains to catch - one from Bagsværd to Copenhagen at 10 o'clock and then from Copenhagen to Herning.
See you and Julie at the concert, I hope. Have a nice day! :laugh3::)
