Q. Are there camping arrangements at Wembley for those of us that want to camp out before the gig to get nearer the front? And will there be a golden circle with wristbands? Thank-you



The Oracle replies:


Not really no. It has been known for music fans to turn up well in advance spending the night in sleeping bags outside the venue; the atmosphere tends to be great. However, it will be very cold if you plan to be there in the wee hours. I wouldn't recommend anyone doing this alone or without telling others where you are. You must think safety first and so if anyone under adult age is thinking of doing this, get your parents' permission.
I've never known there not to be a golden circle set-up at Wembley.
For those that don't know, the golden circle is the area that the first come, first served fans get to stand in. They're issued with a wristband so they can leave and re-gain entry making life easier for loo and food stall visits.

White Lies will be much earlier then 7pm guess around 5 pm as CP have to be on stage by 8.30 as wembley has a curfew of 10.30 pm however in general for big open air gigs gates always open that early as somehow those 80 000 people have to make it into the stadium.
Well if you have a seat you can also come just before CP take the stage your seat should be still there.

Level 1 seat are unreserved...but you still need to get there by 4 pm as the seats esp. the good seats are gone by 430 pm.

Personally I doubt there will be many girls aloud fans queuing for standing early. I'm female and a teenager and I know quite a few of girls aloud fans but they said they would be turning up around 5-6 when girls will be coming on and then leaving before Jay-Z and Coldplay come on. Personally I was pissed at them... Girls aloud suck!(especially live)

but my point is that girls aloud fans aren't very dedicated (Unlike when they are chasing after hot boy bands!) so I doubt will be queing very early....

But obviously I could be wrong!

It costed me around 22 pounds. Yes expensive, but as I am coming from Denmark and am not so familiar with the area, it is more convenient for me to stick to the "official" parking lot.

I thought about that too! I can´t see why not. Considering the wembley gigs are the last of the tour, I can imagine they might have prepared a few surprises for us, also according to what Johhny said that they want it to be an event! :)

I have tickets booked for the 18th September Coldplay concert at Wembley. It's on a Friday, and the website and tickets say that the concert starts at (and doors open at) 4pm. However, I am reluctant to miss school that day if I don't have to... My question is this - if I left school at normal time (4pm), went home to get changed and then made the 2 hour journey to Wembley Stadium, would I arrive on time/with time to spare? I'm not to bothered about the support acts tbh.. :P

coldplay will be on about 8 - 8.30 so you should be ok... depending on how long it takes you to go home from school and get changed. You could just miss like 1 lesson or two at the end to make sure but you should be ok.

2pm would probably get you about a third the way from the front, somewhere beyond the end of the ramps? An educated guess at best, Coldplay have never played Wembley Stadium before :)

I only went to Wembley once for an Oasis concert and arrived at about 12 AM. I ran through the gates and ended up in front row, behind the golden circle to which I had no ticket to.

At the time I assumed you needed a ticket to enter the golden circle. I don´t know whether there are specific tickets for the golden circle for Coldplay concert? Anyhow I did get a great place even if I came around 12 and there were quite a few people ahead of me in the queue.

Somebody else more knowledgable here on the thread can answer whether there are specifc golden circle tickets or not...if there are and presumably you do not have one, there is a chance you can get front row, behind the golden circle, even if you arrive at 12.
I can´t remember how many specifically but at least 15-20 ppl were ahead of me when the gates opened. Rule of thumb: arrive as early as you can:)

That's not true. There were no special tickets for the golden circle. First come. first in, space for 2500 people. I went to all three Oasis gigs, every day the same game ;-)
All people in the standing area have received whistbands at the entry and when you left the Golden Circle you got another one.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT QUEUING AT WEMBLEY!! PLEASE READ!! I just received this information from Craig (coldplaying-forever27 (http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/member.php?u=41589)) after asking if he would phone Wembley and demand to speak to a supervisor.:






Craig said: "I phoned up and got just some random gal, and i asked and managed to get through to the event supervisor, Martin Smithson, and was told, that, anyone attending the show who queues at the wrong gate, will be told, Catagorically, that they must leave the queue and join the end of the queue they should have been in.
also he said that the two gates, will have just one queue each, and that they will be let in simultaneousely."








So we should now reactivate my thread about swapping tickets if people want to queue together.

With the golden circle will you get your pass in queue or will it be the first people to actually reach the circle area which get access? Just wondering as our gates are quiete far back, we're at the south east gate.

What time do you guys reckon we need to be in queue for access to the circle? We're thinking about being in queue at 10-11 ish.

i just wanted to ask, does anyone know if people buy tickets on the day? we got (sort of) ripped of by Seatwave saying we have to either collect our tickets at 4pm on friday the other side of london OR they will be posted pre 9am friday. both of which are a complete inconveniance!

however, fortunately we got 2 more official tickets from ticketmaster so are definately going just at a loss of £80! So if these other 2 seatwave tickets actually arrive in time for us to take them to wembley, we have 2 spare to sell! they are the unreserved ones.

Yes, I think you could try and sell them on the day, there are always a bunch of people selling tickets at the endrance of stadiums...
But as I'm not going to the concert, it could be better to have a confirmation of someone who is coming and perhaps knows better than me!

If you are on the same ramp you can definetly queue together. We recently discovered that any GA tickets would be lets into any entrance so you should be all able to enter the venue together. hope this helps

to add to my confusion, my ticket says queue at south east ramp and hers says south west? but i read in a topic here BC and MN are in the north east?

so it doesnt help matters!

Ok well, You can enter with your tickets at any entrance so I would both queue at the North east Ramp and choose whichever entrance to go into. When you get there ask people around and stewards just to make sure though. What time you turning up?

Some of you may already know this etctetc. But this is my first Coldplay gig EVER - I know, thats crazy. I was supposed to be going in December of last year to the 02 but, after looking immensely forward to what would be the best day of my life, was done out of ticket by a fake website - I was distraught for weeks. We "had" 10th row tickets as well . Anyway... rant over

I'm going to the Wembley gig on the 18th, and I am more excited than I have ever been in my entire life - because I have my tickets in hand (YES!! I won't been done out of tickets again). I have GA tickets so I was looking forward to queuing from say 7am ish but as I'm going with my friend and mother we basically agreed we'd turn up to the queue at 10.30am ish.

But last week my mother dropped a horrible bomshell, that has me depressed this whole day - only you guys would understand how much this concert means to me. We are now queuing at 1.45-2pm ish - because my dad says I can't miss too much school and my mum agrees. I just wanna cry.

Anyway, I was wondering:

The queue I'll be joining is the north-east ramp one (entrances f&J But that doesn't matter anymore)

2)I feel so bad asking this, but I will..... God, I'm so embarrased. Is there ANY chance any coldplayer (or a group of them maybe) would possibly save me a place? I'm so sorry I asked that and you can shoot me down if you like, but I just thought I would ask, because its the only thing I can do.

No, we got them from Online Ticket Shop, based near London Bridge. I am Alice's Mum, and went there myself to basically tell them I wasn't leaving until they produced tickets or money back. We have got some tickets, but not the ones we booked. My advice if anyone is worried/suspicious is to go in person to whoever you have ordered your tickets from - but make it quick!

I understand perfectly your concern.
I'm not going to the concert (unfortunately...) but what I could tell is: the problem is not for the Coldplayer who saves you the place in the queue (I'm sure you could find someone here in this forum who would agree to do it), the problem comes from the other persons in the queue... That's why it is so complicated to save a place in the queue.
But it's worth a try! Sometimes it works. Sometimes the persons in the queue get really angry...
And I've never been to Wembley so I don't know...

My advice: get there at 7 am...without your family! :lol: Just kidding... I know you can't do that.
But if I were you (well, it depends on your age), I think I would consider it... Because you see your family every day, but you don't see Chris and the guys every day. :D
And when you're first row...well, it's impossible to explain it with words... But it certainly is one of the most important experience in a life, especially a Coldplayer one. :)
