Another question because of the entrance. I don't have my tickets yet because they'll be at the box office. So how do I know where to queue if I don't know what's on the tickets. Is there a certain entrance for the standing people? :confused:

i'm in the same situation. we can't start to queue until will call opens... which is extremely unfair. we need to call in and pester them to make sure they have somebody working to hand us our tickets bright and early.

Sorry guys - sometimes it's actually good to read the boards and not just post. Somewhere it says that somebody called the boxoffice in wembley and they said GA can queue at any GA entrance if they are GA tickets.

depends. last night was due to finish at 10:30 but they finished up earlier. local radio warned people it was kicking out at about 10:10. i parked up about 15 mins walk away at about 10:15/10:20 and there were already people walking down the road (had def come from the concert coz one of them was carrying one of the Yellow balloons!!)

so I guess it depends whther they have any technical problems on the night

Are you sitting or standing? if you're sitting and leg it straight after the last song you may be alright, if you're standing you could be in trouble. took about 15-20 mins after Foo's and Oasis and we had seats. took an hour at least after muse and I was stood.

I have to collect my tickets booked at Ticketline at the box office at midday (now changed to 11 am) the 19th.
In an email from them, they say:

"Please see the link to the seating plan on the Wembley Stadium website. The grey letters are turnstile entrances which you will be able to use. When you collect your tickets from the box office, the gates will be stated on the physical ticket which I unfortunately do not have access to, however the member of staff at the box office will be able to direct you to the closest gate.

The West Stand box office is now opening from 11am. Normally around this time you do not get large queues at the gates, due to there being so many gates. You can collect your tickets from 11am, then get to a gate in plenty of time for the gates opening, and before the queues get too big.

Alternatively, as you have purchased 2 tickets you could find a place in the queue at a gate close to the box office with the person you have the other ticket for, then go to the box office to collect the ticket, while your friend holds the place in the queue.

Apologies if this email is not sufficient, if you have any other queries please let me know and I will try my best to help you."

It's something we're trying to work out.
Someone at Wembley said by phone to Mariana any GA entrance is good, but apparently they haven't answered her e-mail. I wrote to them as well today, and I'll see if they answer me.

Maybe you could answer the e-mail from ticketline and ask her to carify the matter? :idea2:

Wembley Stadium station is really near to the stadium like Wembley Central tube station is, in fact, here's a map:

just a suggestion, but perhaps the list of concert goers could be updated to also reflect those who are picking up the ticket(s) from the Box Office? so's we know how many & who we are...in the case we really need to swap tickets...or should we want to all invade the Box Office in the morning to demand for our tickets. :P

I know the ticket office says the concert officially starts at 4pm...and I'm assuming everyone will get there before then...but are there any benefits to getting there super early....even perhaps camping out in the morning? Hello, its Craig,

Now, I cannot apologise enough for both my silence, and all of the confusion.

The gentleman on the phone to me said that for the GA people, there will be two queues. Now, we seem to only know of people who have tickets for H&J M&N + B&C. But there may be a fourth gate aka F&G. Just because none of the colplayers in attendance dont have tickets for this gate, doesnt meen that it doesnt exist.

This said it is extremely strange that no-one would have tickets for that gate considering the amount of people going, (strange but not impossible). And i will contact the guy again tomorrow to find out just whether there is a 4th gate, and also which queues exactly everyone needs to be in for each gate.

But until then everyone thats all i have, but dont worry too much about it people, and again i apologise for not getting back very quick, and also confusing everyone.

all you need to do is go to the post with the most recent version of the list. click on quote. you can then add whatever detail you want. just make sure you remove the [/quote bits at the beginning and end so the next person can do the same. then submit reply :)

Hey everyone...I heard people queued up for the Old Trafford gig at 9AM even though doors opened at 4pm. I already have my ticket in hand which shows exactly where I'm sitting...is there another reason I should be getting to the concert as early as 9AM?...sorry ;( I'm such an amateur on the usual protocol on these type of huge gigs. Is there a benefit to going super early that I'm foolishly completely blind to at moment?...sorry if this is sort of an obvious question ;(

Any advice as soon as possible - would be greatly appreciated!:D

Hello everyone!!!


Its Craig, and I have news which should comfort and calm everybody who is panicking like hell, about the ticket situation!


Following my chat with the afforementioned "Mr Martin Smithson" yesterday, I posted the information I was told immediately. This has seemingly changed since yesterday, which I am both tottally peed off about, and also heavenly relieved.

The guy i spoke to yesterday was not available, and i was passed around from 3 different lackies, until i got a very nice lady, by the name of Leanne. Now I explained to her that i was calling on behalf of many people attending the shows, and some of whome are coming from abroad to collect their tickets from the box office.

When I told her about Mr Smithsons comments from yesterday, and explained my concerns, she said to me, "You're Joking Right??!!!" To which I replied NO, and stated how worried i was, anyway she said that he has given me improper information, and that at a full staff meeting this morning, everyone was informed of the exact precedures that will be followe for the coldplay shows.

So here it goes:
There are only two ramps to queue at for anyone with GA tickets. Thes are the North-East and North-West ramps.

She told me that they have been made aware of concerns from fans collecting from the box office, and said that they "NOW WILL DEFINATELY ALLOW ANYONE WHO IS IN POSSESION OF A GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET, TO ENTER AT ANY OF THE GATES FOR THE SHOW."

Now she went on to say that all of the tickets printed for GA goers, were split into Gates Allocated, so there should be roughly the same amount of people in the two queues/ramps. This is becuase 50% of the GA people will be at H & J, which is to queue at the North-West ramp, and 25% have got B & C, and M & N each, therefore 25% x2 =50%, and these will queue at the North-East ramp, thus a fair split.

When you get your tickets from the box office, go back and join youre freinds/ fellow coldplayers, in the queue, and there will be no problem at all!
Also, the tickets are read from a barcode scanner at each turnstile, therfore Mr Smithsons comment of people being turned away is nonsense because its done by machine, and they are now programmed to let everyone who is GA, through any gate! (but this is a new developement from a staff briefing this morning, so it might not be Smithies fault, but maybe im being kind?).

So to some up, Anyone with H&J tix, are meant to queue at North-West ramp, and anyone with B&C or M&N are meant to queue at the North-East ramp. But it doesnt really matter. because you WILL be let in at either!!

Also an added bit, is that the Box Office opening time now is confirmed as, 11:00am.

Ok, so thats it I think, i spent a lot of time (and money, im dreading my phone bill :( ) finding this out today, but im certain it is worth it, and i hope that everyone is a lot better about stuff now, and can start looking forward to it again.

Hey everyone...I heard people queued up for the Old Trafford gig at 9AM even though doors opened at 4pm. I already have my ticket in hand which shows exactly where I'm sitting...is there another reason I should be getting to the concert as early as 9AM?...sorry ;( I'm such an amateur on the usual protocol on these type of huge gigs. Is there a benefit to going super early that I'm foolishly completely blind to at moment?...sorry if this is sort of an obvious question ;(

and I think has previously been mentioned if you paid for a seated ticket rather than standing/unreserved level 1 seats, you can turn up whenever

from the Wembley explanation I've read, you queue at the ramp on your ticket. and they'll let you through certain turnstiles.

(speaking as someone who was in wembley for U2 in the cheap seats right at the top of the stadium) If your right up near the roof, you might get some echos bouncing back from the roof.

I just hope your not scaried of heights as the stairs for level 5 are steep.

Am I right that the tubes and busses in London don't drive very long even on Fridays and Saturdays? That means we should be at Wembley Central around 12pm to get to St. Paul's before the next morning.

Last tubes are around 00:30 ;)

But with the concert ending at 23:00 that gives you 90 or so minutes to get back to St. Pauls before the network closes down

The roof will be open as it doesn't actually close. The only bits that 'slide' are the very end parts of the roof that are normally covered over to protect the seats.
Strange that they should spend so much money on a stadium and not design the roof to close. But I'm not a designer ! :)

I'm coming from Finland to see Coldplay at Wembley. I was told that I need to collect my tickets from the box office at 11.00am. Is it allowed to go queuy at 06.00am and then my friends stays in the line while i go and get the tickets at 11.00am? Am I right that it says in the ticket which gate should I use? So is it worthless to go queuy before I got my tickets, becouse I might be in front of the wrong gate?

I'm really freaking out here.

From what most people have been told, you can queue at any GA gate, and I don't think collecting your tickets will be any problem.;)

First time poster - go easy! :)

I'm off to see the gig on Saturday, but have a couple of questions regarding the general admission side of things!

I'm taking my partner, who has told me that she would like to sit - and to be honest, I don't really want to be standing up for nearly 7 hours straight either!

I hear people are going to be queing up from the crack of dawn to get front row etc, however with people doing this could this affect the seats that we will be able to sit in?

How quickly do you think the general admission seats will fill? I was thinking of getting there at about 15:30 as I'll be driving from Essex.

Any help would be appreciated, this is my first gig at Wembley - I'm used to going to the o2, but nothing as big as Wembley!

I must say though, I can't wait!!

They may finish earlier, U2 were off by 10.30 im sure, do you know which station to go to when the gig is finished? Thats where most people get confused because there is 3 stations

I know where I'm going, I've been twice before for Ebbsfleet and Gillingham's relevant cup finals, it's just a case of making sure we get out of there and get to Charing Cross, but the Bakerloo line to Embankment from Wembley Central is a long way, and could be delayed because of the crowds, which is what happened in particular with Gillingham's game there in May, because we were all heading to the same place. This time may not be so bad, but there's still 80-90k people coming out at once. :( Hopefully we're all right though.

I was planning on arriving at 12, but I think we're gonna arrive at about 3 now as we simply can't be bothered to wait around considering it's 7 hours of standing up :p Even if we end up in the middle, can't be bad.

I would expect if you turn up at just before 4pm you will almost certainly get seats. I would turn up from 2-3 so you can pretty much gurantee seats. Getting the better seats (they are all good in Ga btw) would require you to come earlier (like before 1pm)
