Dear Rune, I still haven't had any answer to my email. I know It was written in a very strong terms but I was very angry. I think I can began to forget to have my tickets with me. Noting to do in my case.
I hope you can ask somebody to save your position in the line :)
I'm gonna write them again tomorrow and wait (again) any answer.
Hey, and thanx! :)
I'm cool and down on the earth now, but was also very angry before. I talked with a friend after I wrote here, and we had now arranged that me and her, take to the office or box to get our tickets. We are five friends travel to London this week incl. my brother, so they other three hold the line for us. That's the Plan B for us, if I don't receive any tickets before the big gig! :)
Congratulations with you pregnancy! :) Hope you look forward, and hope you're very happy! ;) It's your first time? Understand very well you don't dare to take to London and see Coldplay, as well they are one of your fav bands. And I wouldn't never recommend you to do that anyway, not in the 8th month! ;)
Well, thanx for your understanding.
Love and peace,
Rune

Hey I live in Canada and I'm seriously considering taking the trip to London to see the final show on September 19th. Im trying to find a GA floor or a regular floor ticket. Does anywhere know anybody selling or know a good website to find a ticket. I have to book my flight really soon or else I might not get to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated - can't wait to see Coldplay again!!!

well, starting at Manchester Victoria, it is the metrolink that connects to Piccadilly. I think you can use your train ticket for a free ride on the metrolink. But you don't have to start your journey at Victoria - as long as you get to Piccadilly in time for your 6.10 train you'll be fine :)
All the trains to Euston from Manchester leave from Piccadilly, not Victoria :)

03-09-2009, 12:05 PM
Make sure you get your right time trains to London, but in London, it won't matter because some of those journeys are on the underground with trains every 3-5 minutes or so.......
(like Euston to Marylebone, where you will have to take the circle line to Baker Street and either walk to Marylebone which takes honestly 2mins and well signposted... or change to Bakerloo line for one stop to Marylebone)
I've got trains for the last 3 years from Marylebone along past Wembley, and I know that on special days like match days or concerts, they put on extra services..... and you have no need to worry! If you miss that time stated on the ticket, it will be no problem to just hop on any train really. :)
edit: HOW cheap is your ticket?!?!? :D

10 degrees celsius sounds about right for september..but I've understood that it's very windy at Wembley? so that makes it a hell of a lot more colder! and if it rains..we'll all be sick next week :stunned: but I don't care coz it's 16 days now :dance:

Did anybody else buy their tickets by ticket-line?
'Cause they wrote that they still don't have the tickets and so they can't send them. They also said that if they got the tickets too late to send them to us, they'd deposit them at the information centre at the stadion, but they'd probably open on saturday at 2 pm.
So help please!

Yeah I have the same situation. I'm sure everybody will safe our place in the line, and there are also others who need to leave the line to have their tickets. It's not a problem, of course we keep each others places in the line. :nice: I'm worried about getting the tickets though. Cause you need to have the payment card you used when you bought the tickets, or photographic identification, passport or driving licence of the card's owner. And I don't have a credit card so we used my dad's card, and he's not coming with me to London. :\

I finally, FINALLY gained permission to go from my professor, as well as booked train and accommodation!. It's no longer a question or even a guilt-fest: I AM GOING!
I booked a hotel for two nights, so I'll be arriving on the night of the 18th. I was thinking that I'd shoot up to Wembley that night after dropping off my stuff to get a lay of the land. If there's a significant line for the show on the 19th already, I might just stay up there (and inform other CPers via text that the line is getting busy, if they want). Otherwise, I'll return early the next morning.
I just thought I'd mention my plans to anyone, especially those staying closer to Wembley than me (I'm staying in Bloomsbury, at the hotel I'm currently living at), who might wish to join me in line on the night of the 18th if it's getting busy then. I'd say if you'd like to get the report on how the line for the 19th is going as of about 8 or 9 PM on the 18th, PM me your mobile number and I can let you know :D.
I'M SO EXCITED NOW THAT IT'S CONFIRMED THAT I'M GOING!

dont' think they will turn you away but the think is that you actually have to scan y our ticket and then the turnstilles open so I don't know if it opens when you have a different entrance on it. In my mind it should make a difference but you never know.

I did buy my tickets by ticketline too but i didn't receive any mail concerning the dispatch!! Did anyone do or is it just an answer to somebody's mail?
FYI, today on their website: Wembley 18th Sept - all Gen Admin will be despatched by 09/09/09 (http://www.ticketline.co.uk/ticket-despatch-tickets)
So tickets for the 19 should follow !! I really hope so !!!
ah ok, then maybe we'll get them on time. Thank you. But even if not we'll see.
Let's wait for a while.

you're probably right. Even if we usually don't have many problems with the tickets in Germany, but with the rest like the evacuation after a concert. In Düsseldorf it was horrible because the people who were supposed to deal with the traffic didn't do much.
But though other things are not really bad. It depense!

I find it already awful that security doesn't hand out water when you are in the front...I never saw that in the UK..the security does most of the time only that over here and rightly so.

:D I prefer the LCD countdown screen and square one intro to the LiT and 'lace dress' they have now
Yeah. I 100% agree with you on that.
Of all of the gigs I have experienced, not just Coldplay, the greatest moment of all for me would be standing in pitch black darkness waiting for Coldplay in Earl's Court with Brand Nubian's Meaning Of The 5% blasting out over the PA system.. the moment the LCD countdown screen flashed up you just knew you were in for an amazing couple of hours :)
But a new thing is happening today, a new thing is happening today..

I just got this message from Ticketline :
"Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we are still awaiting the arrival of these tickets from the promoter of the event. As the show is quite soon, we are going to arrange for you to collect your tickets at Wembley box office on the day of the show. We will have a member of Ticketline working at the box office and tickets will be available to collect from around midday (the gates open to the event at 4pm). Please bring with you the credit card you booked with or ID such as a driving licence or passport."
So does it mean they won't mail my tickets at all or is there still a chance??
If I have to collect them at the box office it's ok as I'll arrive in London around 12am so I won't be able to queue before anyway...
That make me so nervous, it remember me RW in 2006 !!

I think that if they get the tickets on time so that they can send them, they will do it, but maybe it will be too risky that people don't get them then on time. We just have to wait what happens next.

I was watching that game too and I got totally over exited! Wembley sure is huge! :shocked2: I couldn't find any glow sticks anywhere, but I am atleast buying a finnish flag for wembley :P still going to glowstick hunt some other day tho..I'm worried about the plane thing too if I find them..we only have hand luggage too so
So maybe we really have to call the flight company with which we fly and ask them about the glow sticks.

I really don't think you have to worry about glowsticks in luggage, especially if you leave in the package you bought them, so it can easily be identified as what it is. But, of course, feel free to call airlines to double check.
I have a question, though, about bringing flags, banners, signs. Are those things allowed in Wembley? Anyone who went to the recent U2 show have any info? CoughDAVEcough...

The first batch of my tickets arrived today, they're really nice :)
I was very glad they showed up, as I couldn't remember where I'd ordered them from :P There are six more to come from somewhere else, but they aren't as important, they're only for relatives and friends :laugh3:

Yeah but I was just worryign about that you know if you have liquids you have to put them into that "minigrip" bag thing in the security check, so if the sticks don't fit into the bag :uhoh: oh well I probably won't find them from here anyways.. :(

Um, well I've received four already. And there are six more due to arrive from somewhere else for relatives and friends (that is, other relatives and other friends - those other than the four people I already have tickets in hand for).
They may come in one batch or two. I can't remember how I did all the ordering :laugh3: But these ones showed up alright, so I reckon I'll put my feet up, put on Prospakt's March, and wait for the taps on the door while I drink my tea! :P

Around 10:45 this morning there was a knock on the door from the postie and in the pile of post was my tickets, although I still have a spare :( (row 5 of block 550 of level 5 if anybody is looking for any spares [which i doubt it :(])

Technically speaking no, but there were some banners for U2 I think with people sneaking them in though various means.

For me with U2:
Friday - my glastonbury bag was searched and the water got put into a couple cups#
Saturday - my bad wasn't searched, and my water got put into a cup (with another bottle of water hiding in a pocket of my jacket which was in the bag) :)
I might bring up some pick and mix to give to people in the queues

Could someone please explain the "seating" plan I know everyones standing but whats the reserved seating about and is there a GA floor section where you get wristbands and could potentially be front row. Thats how it was in Toronto, the GA floor section were the people standing in front the stage. It seems to me from the seating chart for wembley the entire floor is labeled GA floor. Does this mean anyone at all with a floor ticket could be front row?

Somebody should design a "flag jacket" which doubles up for such occasions!:P

I'm still unclear about the flag rule... Are we allowed to bring in flags or not? It's odd because the Wembley guidelines on prohibited items don't state anything about banners or flags BUT they do say we are not to bring in flag poles more than 1 m in length

yeh thats what I was thinking.
Also I just saw that the wembley stadium roof doesn't close completely so if you're standing on the pitch we will get wet if it rains. I falmost think that will be a good thing but I hope its warm and eet not cold.... because I'm just gonna wear a t shirt and a really light zipped hoodie.

Yes, your last sentence is true. However, you will have to queue really early to have a chance of getting front row.
I went to Muse and they had a 'Golden Circle' area at the front, where people were given a second wristband (in addition to the standing one) so you could come and go in that front area. Then there was a second barrier and the rest of the pitch GA standing area was where everyone else stood behind.
Anybody know the wembley area well? Im up for meeting in a pub afterwards, although im gonna be out the stadium alot quicker as im gonna be seated
Can you reccomend a pub thats easy to get to? I stopped at one after the U2 concert which wasnt far from a pizza hut and kfc i think? all i remember is walking over that funny looking bridge thing (not up the wembley way, at the back of the stadium so to speak) and then up past a garage towards wembley central i think it was!

I'm going to get there at about 1.45. Do you think theres a chance that if there is a "golden Circle" like the one you said above I'd be in it?

when we went to the oasis gig, we got in the Q when the doors opened and still managed to get in the golden circle...but i think im gunna get there extra early to soak up it all up and make sure i get into the golden circle!

think it depends on the security person standing behind your turnstile. when we went for the football, most security were doing bag checks and a quick pat down. I only got my bag extremely briefly checked, and no pat down. but then I did go through one of the ladies only turnstiles & get a bloke at the end of it!!!

But he won't be better for long :sneaky: if we meet at wembley, I can teach you there too! how to say the stuff you know :D that would be so much fun!
and I suck at grammar..in every language :D I don't even know english grammar at all and I study in english so I should know it as well as finnish (but actually I do, because I don't know either of them :D) I just write whatever sounds good :D
we're really taking this thread off topic now so I'll quit talking about it..
I think they could do the butterflies to the seating areas too at wembley because of the 'shape' of the arena, it could be possible you know.. depends on how high you sit I guess :D but I don't really know..

Hey everyone! :D I'm new here and haven't been very active so far so forgive me for my lack of posts..
I have standing and level 1 unreserved seating tickets for Wembley (going with my parents and brother). I have not been to the venue before. I wondered whether any of you could possibly answer a question for me about the supposed "gold circle?" I have read on this thread several people talking about there being a gold circle. Is there always one for the gigs at Wembley - do you know in advance if there is going to be one? Also, is it true that if there is one that they give out wristbands on a first come first serve basis to whoever gets there and is in the queue earliest before the doors actually open? (sorry I'm so clueless I've never been to a gig with a golden circle)
I'm coming down to the gig from Manchester as I'm seeing Elbow there the night before so we're staying in a hotel half way to London and driving down there as early as poss. I hope to be at Wembley by 2-ish as I really want to try and get near the front of the stage. Do you guys think that this is viable if I turn up at this time? This gig is so huge and so many fans are coming from outside of the UK to be there.. so I'm a little concerned that there's going to be a massive queue outside the doors by 9 am and that there's no way I'll get a good standing/level 1 seat if I arrive only 2 hours before the doors open. How early are you all planning to get there?
BTW, I'm planning to bring a load of yellow glowsticks and hand them out to people who want them. I think this idea is so awesome, it would be so great if we could make Wembley one massive yellow ball of light. :)
I reckon you could probably get away with being in the queue from around 11am onwards?
No diresect to coldplay but U2 are a bigger band and they are bount to have loads of people queueing alot earlier, i would imagine it wont be as hectic for coldplay
Not sure on the golden circle thing either, they could give out wristbands or they might just let the 1st few thousand in then close it?
