Okay, maybe I have missed it all ...

Is the shop for ordering the Wembley T-Shirts already set up? Or when will it get set up so that we can start ordering?

Just a quessie, don't wanna pressure anybody. I only want to make sure that I won't miss ordering my shirt for Wembley :)
We had some problems with Spreadshirt as they didn't accept the vector files because they were too complex --> too much work for them to print it.
Have a look at the thread about the shirt designs (http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56276&page=12)... we're working on it, shirts should be available soon. :)

Pity about the shirts, I am so excited in getting one to see how it eventually looks when printed!!! :nice:

Thanks Anna :)

I have to admit that I haven't followed the threads very closely in the past so that's why I probably didn't get it all :embarassed:

But I am sure that everything will be solved in no time and it's still over 3 months time and if we end up with cafepress, they usually deliver really quickly :)

You're welcome.
It'll still be spreadshirt, just another printing method, that's the status so far.

Well it's certainly not unfeasible. All you'd need to do is choose a park (presumably somewhere like Regent's or Hyde) and a meeting time and you could see how many people were interested.
Unfortunately the park at Violet Hill wouldn't be big enough, but there are also places like Hampstead Heath and Blackheath which are massive.

And don't forget, there's always Belsize Park!!:P

Are tickets still available for London on the 19th?

Hi

I'm afraid not. Completely sold out. I just checked Ticketmaster.co.uk and seetickets.com and neither of them had anything seated or standing. It might be worth checking them both every so often though, just in case more are released. But I'm afraid it sold out a long time ago.

You could try ebay...I've just looked at there's a fair few listings for tickets. But the bidding starts at £100 for two.

Is also worth keeping an eye out here at Coldplaying, this thread (http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56439) especially, as occasionally people are selling tickets they can't use :D

I actually wouldn't mind in the slightest. I just feel that Girls Aloud are far more likely to create the right "mood" (i.e. party) than Jay-Z.;)

that was a very serious, and really excited squeee. I've been disappointed ever since I found out the 19th got Jay-Z & the 18th got Girls Aloud. I even thought about getting Girls Aloud tickets for my birthday, but they'd sold out already

At least Girls Aloud have recognisable pop songs that you can sing along to. Plus they're far better to look at!!:P

I guess that's just the british that will sing because foreigners are not too familiar with them.... In here, we have never heard of them and none of there songs are on the radio...
I understand they were kinda a UK version of the pussycatdolls... I guess, I'll take a small 'awake-nap' during their set :laugh3: White lies will wake me up!

It's totally unfair to compare them to the Pussytw*t Dolls, who basically look like a bunch of hookers and have only released one memorable song (their first one), which was just plain annoying.
Girls Aloud fall more into the "fun" pop category (e.g. Spice Girls), and have had hits with covers like "I'll Stand By you", which everyone will recognise.;)

that's better than me already! the only time i found out about their existence was a YouTube video of James Morrison playing 'Broken Strings' live with Girls Aloud singing Nelly Furtado's part. so that doesn't even count as a Girls Aloud song. :P

& as much as the Pussycat Dolls are nothing more than slutty eye candy, a-chan's right to say that they've got more int'l exposure than Girls Aloud outside of UK.

Ha-ha I was only kidding about Paddington Station being the venue for the picnic, we would blend in fairly easily though as it's huge and has loads of food outlets etc. Not exactly a very relaxing atmosphere though!

The trouble is, when you live as far away from London as is possible to go in a South Westerly direction, they make your last train at 5pm! So, unless the picnic is early/mid afternoon I won't be able to make it. There are lots of parks to choose from though in London so it shouldn't be too difficult to pick somewhere. :)

The only thing that worries me about the whole huge meet up thing is the part about The Bakery. When Charlotte went Phil was really worried about fans knowing where it was. With them being in London there's a fairly good chance at least one of them or their crew will be inside, if they see a huge group of Coldplayers standing outside it may freak them out.

The lunch meet up sounds great :D But I think visiting The Bakery en masse might not be wise?

Agreed, I don't think it's good for all of us to suddenly show up @ the Bakery. It's bad enough that almost all of us going to Wembley know where it's @, I cannot imagine what the band and/or crew might think if they look out of a window and see a whole mass of fans standing outside :uhoh:

I'd like them to stay @ the Bakery and not have to move somewhere else for safety/privacy reasons!

I agree! I will be staying at ibis London Wembley. Is there anyone who will stay at the hotel?

As to the picnic plan, it sounds like a great idea but I am afraid that it is not a good idea to visit the Bakery even if we know the exact location and sure that it is not practical for a lot of people to squeeze in the alleyway to the Bakery. We should respect their privacy.

Let's choose a park! Easy and convenient to access, allowed to have a picnic in there, large enough to accomodate lots of people....maybe in Central London? Hyde Park, Green Park, Kensington Gardens, or Regents Park?

As you stand looking at Buck House Green Park's on the right and St James's Park is on the left.

St James's is prettier and more formally laid out. Green Park's bigger and plainer, so might be better for a bigger group, as you can always find loads of space.

Green Park's closer to its Tube station (of the same name) than St James's is. Green Park's also only a short walk down Piccadilly from Piccadilly Circus with its fast food places etc and all the nearby restaurants and bars/pubs, which give somewhere to escape to if it rains :)

(ah just looking at a pic of Wembley gets me anxious, it's soo huuge:stunned:! We'll be teeny little ant-sized coldplayers!)

And put my vote down for a picnic-meet up. Sounds fun!:) Also, I don't think all of us meeting at the Bakery is a good idea. One thing is a couple of people stopping by for 10min for a picture, a whole other thing a bunch of us(100!)just hanging around there.

I would just bring a sandwich or something like that.
Piccadilly, Jubilee and Victoria lines all stop at Green Park. As do the 8, 9, 14, 19, 22 and 38 buses.

Green Park's also only a short walk down Piccadilly from Piccadilly Circus with its fast food places etc and all the nearby restaurants and bars/pubs, which give somewhere to escape to if it rains :)

it is the one I'm thinking of :) walked through it a couple of times in the sunshine in April, and it was gorgeous. we'd probably want the Buck Palace end though, because the Piccadilly end had diggers, workmen & hoardings working on the tube station (improvements? adding a lift? i forget what)

Hi, im still very new to coldplaying but i love coldplay to death!

I am incredibley fortunate to be going to Wembley on 19th and i cannot wait!

Can i ask that to this meet-up, would anyone at all, ( including me :) ) be invited and if so where and when are the majority of us meeting up, also how would we recognise each other???

I am guessing by wearing the beautiful t-shirts, and a massive cheesy grin!

thanks ppl.

Oh yeh, so our entry points will be on the tickets right, has anyone recieved there tics yet???

And i suppose itll be a lucky draw as to who gets let in first for standing like me, as i would imagine they wont let everyone in at the exact same second for safety, people like me just sprinting flat out towards the rails at front!

So are people gonna purchase and wear their t's to the gig? I no I will be.

if you're going to be staying over in a hotel, you could arrange to meet up with people staying at the same place.

and the idea of the t-shirts is indeed to wear them to the gig. we hope to get as many as possible clumped together, or a complete front row spread, to make them stand out all the more

Well the tickets might arrive only a week or so before the gig... and sprinting might not be allowed due to safety reasons and the security might stop you if they are strict at enforcing that.

Some of us have bought our shirts already :D

not sure which hotels have rooms left. I know the travelodge is sold out. the Ibis website suggest they're full on the 18th & 19th.

Premier Inn is down to its last few rooms on the 19th. £130 per night.

Park Royal Travelodge only has family rooms left. £75 per night. ( would need to get tube to Wembley, but is pretty straightforward. we stayed there when we went to Wembley for the football)

Hilton @ Wembley Park only has twin rooms left, and the price is now £186 per night.

Thank you so much for that, has helped me a lot.

The travelodge park royal is apparently only 1.9 miles from wembley.
Do you think a cab would be very expensive for that sort of distance?

This is my first time to london or wembley and I dont really know too much about public transport, do you know when the tube stops running as the gig will probably be going on pretty late i think.

Again thanks for you help.

I ordered 2 tickets on the Gigs and Tours website on the day the tickets went on sale. Got an confirmation email and the money was booked from my credit card.

Just wanted to trace my order, it says it didn't exist. No valid ref.number. I called Seetickets to ask what happend. They say they can't find any orders placed by me. We tried to trace them by credit card number, name, referencenumber, etc. No order found. I'm rather freaking out! I already booked an hotel from 17th till 21st and planetickets! do you still have the credit card statement with the actual amount being charged to your credit card for the tickets? i'm sure that's a pretty good proof that a transaction did happen. gives you something to go with - i mean, if they've charged your card for the tickets, then i'd think they are obligated to do something more than saying there's no order found as money has changed hands.

personally, i only took it as a reality that i have really successfully bought my ticket when i saw the charge on my credit card statement. even tho Ticketmaster did send an email confirmation 1st.

How many people think this show will be recorded for DVD release? if it is, definatley see Jay z joining coldplay for Lost+
to be honest, i think Jay-Z'll join in for Lost+ regardless of whether this gig's recorded for a DVD release or not. i'd think that Beyonce also joining in would be a bigger thing for a DVD special footage...but then, feel free to poo poo that last comment - i'm just dreaming up nonsense. again. :dozey:
