Allright well i decided to make another thread for this since i dont want it to take up space in Philly's thread. So it is confirmed that Coldplay will be coming back to North America somewhere soon after the Japan shows in February of 09. it was also said that they would be playing MULTIPLE nights at MSG.

This is definitely NOT confirmed! As for as I know, it's only a rumour. I've had no conversations with anyone officially in the know, only fans who passed that rumour on to me.

Hopefully it's true, but please let me state again...more dates are NOT confirmed by me or by Oxfam.

It wouldn't make sense logistically.
Why interrupt a tour and go elsewhere and then come back.
Just think of the costs!

Maybe they'll do some more shows, but probably in parts of the world they haven't been to yet.

as much as i'd love this to be confirmed later, i really think they should do latin america and australia first (i keep forgetting whether or not they're definitely doing australia or not)...and that would be THREE legs in america and ONE in the UK.

i can't complain, since i'll still be here then if this becomes true, but i wonder if this could potentially mean another UK leg in fall 2009...:sneaky: :cheesy:

They should do Australia, Latin America and a bit more of Canada first. Then some more UK (inc Knebworth) and THEN America :P

Well thanks Sean, anyway, for letting that out! Nothing is of course confirmed until it shows up on official site, and I don't believe I'm really at a show until I'm actually in the seat!!!:lol: But you know what, it totally lifted my spirits last night when I was starting to go into withdrawals. So Sean, you're still a hero in my eyes!:smug: You did nothing wrong other than not being able to contain your excitement. We all know rumors are rumors, but half the time they come true, so you never know.

That said, even if I"m in US, I do want the band to hit up South Am, Australia, and of course UK again!, before coming back here. And get some rest, I don't want them collapsing on me. But I wouldn't be surprised w/ Prospekt's March, and possible new CD before end of 2009 that Coldplay will be around somewhere for a while before they go back to hiding in the Bakery.

We(all Coldplay fans, but especially US) are so freakin' spoiled--and I'm a Coldplay brat & I love it!:D

Yeah, Arenas are great. Stadiums are Ok as long as I can secure a seat close to the stage, cuz otherwise it would suck.
