NO freaking way! I just booked a hotel in Arizona too...I was so devastated that they wouldn't be back in the Los Angeles area so I was gonna go all the way to Arizona for them! Oh the dilemma! Man...I really want to. It would be cool if I follow their bus afterwards all the way to Arizona since they are playing there on the 26th! But I don't even know if I will be able to do it (driving, the money, getting tickets and everything).

I went to the show at the LA Forum, but I could only manage to get nosebleed seats through ticketmaster, 10 minutes after they went on sale. For this show I am absolutely determined to get to the front. Well, close at least. So, my question to all of you experienced Coldplayers who have gotten great tickets, what is the best way to go about getting those? Is it better to call the venue and get tickets?

I am desperate for this. Haha. Thanks for any advice.

Oh and milesahead89- the best thing I can tell you is that I press the refresh button over and over
until something good comes up. And they release tickets later on in the day so if you dont get the tickets
you want right when you go on you could always try again later. Or call- ive never tried calling so let me know if it works :)

There really in no particular way, im mean if they have a pre sale thats a good way!! But its best to get the tickets online right when they go on sale!!

I know a good way to get good seats when they go on sale. Chris² did this for Paris and I thought it was a pretty good idea. So what she did was buying tickets with her friend at the same time (one on the Internet and one by phone), each of them bought four (I think, but you can buy less) to be sure they'd at least get one. So if one didnt manage to get some, the other might (i dont know how many they were though). and at the end, you might have some spare tickets BUT there's always Coldplayers who look for good seats and who didnt get the chance to get some.. so you can ALWAYS sell the extra ones you bought and face value for nice fans who dont want to pay an awful amount of money on Ebay..

although it might sound crazy because I just realised your tickets are waaay expensive than in Europe.. :uhoh:

Just because it's one of the much older venues and worn down. That's why they built the Staples Center to replace it which is MUCH MUCH nicer.

A technical school, my financial aid and a loan are going to cover everything, so basically all I got to do is show up to class everyday. hence, the show conflicts with my school schedule. I normally would just say, screw it, miss a day, but I am not so willing now considering I get my certification in 7 months! :cool:


ABOUT THE VENUE

I saw Santana there in 2000 (opening up was Mana), and Coldplay in 2006; I can say that this venue is not built for most bands, although Depeche Mode have the ambiance in their music to blend into the shitty acoustics of the venue.

There will be room to actually move around (and BREATHE!) in the halls/concession area right outside of the seating area! Being squished like sardines @ The Forum was not fun, especially squished up against LA peeps.

well i guess it looks pretty decent but why not wait most of those tickets aren't that good why not wait for someone to give u the presale password or for the regular public sale i'm sure u will be able to find better seats for cheaper or if not at least the same seats for cheaper...i remember with the forum i bought my tickets about 1 month before i managed to find some on ticketmaster that would have cost like 400 bucks and they sucked but i got them for 74.50

yeah thats the back of the floor, almost at the back of the arena. you should bid on the ticketmaster auctions-they start on sat or mon after the general sale

Best I was able to find was in section 413, Row B. I sat in the first row in the 400s section last time I saw Coldplay here and there's no way I'm gonna pay $97.50+ for these seats! All these 400 section seats should be $50.

I hope tomorrow's better! I'd like to at least be somewhere close in the 200s.

Yeah i know where and how far back it is! i don't understand how it can be priced at the same price as a floor or plaza or club level. it is a awful seat for $120. i would rather take my chances with general sale, these are awful tickets

I suspected this presale would be lousy. I am not going to be tempted by presales again unless they are general admission or official band presales. You may as well take your chance with the general sale.
I mean I am not expecting front row. But for $130 I kinda expect to be within 50ft of the stage.

Best I was able to find was in section 413, Row B. I sat in the first row in the 400s section last time I saw Coldplay here and there's no way I'm gonna pay $97.50+ for these seats! All these 400 section seats should be $50.

I hope tomorrow's better! I'd like to at least be somewhere close in the 200s.

i managed to get tickets in sec 104 row 12 seats 12-11..i think these are good seats, but maybe i'm just saying that because at the forum i was up at the way top in the last row..although i think i'm going to try and buy more at the general sale, but i opted out to buy these because i have to work tomorrow and would only be able to search for tickets for about 15 mins

I tried my absolute best to purchase tickets (in a good area, of couse) earlier this morning, but I was quite unsuccessful. I tried Ticketmaster on-line and on the phone for over an hour, and the only tickets available were in the "nosebleed" sections. And I certainly didn't want to pay nearly $80 to be stuck all the way at the top. Also, the KROQ pre-sale the other day was no better -- Section 400-something this, Section 400-something that.

I've seen Coldplay several times before, but I was really looking forward to attending this concert. When I heard the news on Coldplaying.com, I was so excited. Now I'm just completely bummed out. :(

Hopefully, I'll get another chance to see them in the near future.

I just checked Ticketmaster on-line -- they're not sold-out yet, but the only tickets I got were located in the "nosebleed" section (plus the view is, according to TM, "limited"). They're $78 each.

Maybe I should try 1 ticket instead of 2. I've never gone to a concert alone, though. Hmmm........

I just searched ticketmaster again and still found single seats in the 200's...pairs of tickets are so much harder to find than singles....if ur going alone u can still get pretty decent seats.if ur going with someone ur gonna get seats near the top. good luck to those who are still looking.

Yeah...for the radio station out of the OC and LA. Its for STAR 98.7 if you go to there website at star987.com they are advertsing Coldplay saying that and I quote "SOMETHING BIG IS COMING."
That is all they are telling anyone till wednesday at five...the only way that you can win though is if you sign up for thier program to be a "Rockaholic"....we were just speculating about the private show so dont get to worked up...like I did!! :D

i honestly can't wait till the day of the concert....what kinda sucks is that everyone i know hates coldplay so whenever i talk about it they always make fun of me and say what's the big deal and why did u waster your money seeing them again...the exception is my friend that is going with me...nice to know that other ppl like coldplay as much as me...
