I don't think Incubus are overrated (IMO) but thats probably because I've spent the last 2 years dedicating myself to making a website about them but hey the rest of it...haha its sooo right..I like the Vines but they arnt going anywhere same with the Strokes..whoever said Busted i'm with you 100% :D

i don't think any of the "new garage rock" bands (white stripes, strokes, hives, blah blah blah) will have any lasting impact because all they're doing is ripping off what the kinks or the stooges or even the rolling stones did 30-35 years ago.

Everyone is looking for originality and unless you've never listened to another person's music and just happened to pick up a guitar and teach yourself how to play, then I don't think anyone will ever NOT be influenced by something or someone else. Everyone needs to stop concentrating so much on what other people are listening to and just focus on what you like. There will ALWAYS be something out there that you or someone else doesn't like. I don't like a lot of stuff that's out now either, but if it was nu-metal, bling bling rap, manufactured pop, or pop punk it would be something else, so just GET OVER IT.
