Whilst checking out the Coldplay news, found this info:

New Kids on the Block

Album: Greatest Hits (Columbia)

In stores: Aug. 12

Why we care: You might think I have a cool job. The CDs. The concerts. The awesome hair. But there are hazards. For instance, on Nov. 2, I will be at the St. Pete Times Forum reviewing the New Kids on the Block reunion show. And I will be surrounded by a phalanx of screaming 31-year-old women who would gladly stab a music critic to get to Jordan Knight. Like I said: hazards.

Why we like it: I was a dork in 1988 for myriad reasons. But I'm proud to say one of those reasons was not for liking NKOTB, the boy band that sold 70-million albums. This cheese-whipped time capsule will provide hours of nostalgic fun for the aforementioned stabbers.

Reminds us of: My fave New Kid? Cubby.

how can you say such a thing. If it wasn't for Woolworths on Guernsey, we wouldn't have found their first album!!! It was in the bargain bin, so my parents got a rest from the tape we had with us :D

Hey! NKOTB are great :D:D:D Sure their past albums are a lot outdated, but they were MASSIVE in their day, and could be pretty big now. This band is great :D My sister is a HUGE fan, and as a younger sister, I've somewhat become a fan too.

That's great! My oldest sister was/is quite a fan of the band still and I'll not hide the fact that I liked them then and I still like their stuff now  (yes, I am a Coldplay and NKOTB fan - we people exist lol). Anyway, a shame about the distance and all, I'm sure your mom and Kim would still get along great :D

(I'm so late with this reply lol, but better late than never hey!)
