Looks like you were right at least somewhat. But yea after listening to the album pretty much all day, Yes can very easily be seen as being from a pedophiles POV, it probably isn't though. It makes Coldplay sound more fun if it was (in no creepified intentioned way), but I guess people take thoughts and ideas too seriously, well some of 'em. It has all the ingredients to be from a pedophiles point of view whether people like that or not, the possibility is definitely there.

I can see where the pedophile theory comes from, and after reading this it slightly crossed my mind, but I've no doubt this song is about sex and the religious guilt that comes with impure thoughts and acting out on them.

I mean, he says "We were dying of frustration." That means it was him and the other person. I don't think a child feels that way. And he says they were asking to not be lead into temptation as well.
