Anyone know the name of the string intrument used in the begining??

It is some sort of guitar, I think they called it the "Shamisen".

yep is asian (Japanese one)... it doesn't surprise me... they have two asian countries as song titles (China and Japan)

believe it or not its not asian (that was my first thought) but its actually an instrument called the Santur
