... Is one of the best pieces of music on the album, in my opinion. Its an exhilarating and spine-tingling moment. I love how you can hear the other 3 guys belting out the "recycled revenge" line... in fact, I find that I had to strain my ears to hear Chris' voice.

But its fantastic. Who else agrees?

I'd love to hear an accappella version of that end bit . It seems that every band member has a decent voice...

Eh Steve!

Yeahhh, I love that part!

It was a nice surprise just when I thought the Grey's version was gonna be the full version! lol

they MUST close the concert with this song,

but only if it's gonna have a whole choir or something

otherwise, THIS, then fix you.

Maybe they recorded it in a Spanish church?
DAAHF/TE is the first final track on a CP album that I've loved. The Escapist's lyric is amazing. The whole album is such a varied, surprising journey and The Escapist just caps it all off. Truly great.

can't wait to hear this song live! The last part is a musical masterpiece!!!

I think it would be the last song they perform on the VLV Tour Setlist!

cheers

You being serious!? :shocked3:

My order of final tracks would go like this:

Everything's Not Lost/Life is for Living
Death and All his Friends
Twisted Logic
Amsterdam

though, the last two are EQUALLY tied.
I can't choose
they both have epic endings.

But everything's not lost is their best final track.

it's one of the only songs that has consistantly stayed on the set list since the parachutes tour.

yea this part of the song is one of the best parts of ANY coldplay song. i get chills EVERY SINGLE TIME i hear it. i think this would be a great closer to the album. i bet you they woud repeat it more than 2 times and the whole crowd would sing along and IT WILL BE AMAZINGGGG.

no i don't want a battle from beginning to end, i don't want a cycle of recycled revenge, I don't wanna follow death and all (i hear an "of" here) his friends

Amsterdam should be considered one of the most beautiful songs ever made, there are no words to describe it, and that part "im dead on the surface but im screaming underneath" is one of the best coldplay quotes ever

i think this part is absolutely brilliant. my favorite 3 lines of the entire album. i was just reading the Q and will said "This is us singing all together an then another us singing together. The Coldplay Choir. And it had an echo that lasted for a long, long time. When we did a lot of group singing we just roped in whoever was around. Studio engineers, whoever."

So it was recorded in an art gallery in Barcelona that was once the medical room of an ancient nunnery. EPIC!!!
