I'm so happy to see Coldplay at Bercy, it is the first time I meet them :dance:

So I am looking for carpooling with somebody who accept to go at Bercy with me

have you tried carpooling websites ? there are more and more now, it's really common. I'm sure you can find someone easily. My brother does this and it's pretty safe.

Arwen, Porte D on 9th. Where are you from Shini ? I've received advertisment from FNAC ; there are coaches that give a lift to people that go to Paris to attend the concert. FNAC sold tickets with the transportation included. I can't give you a lift as i'm already in Paris. Ask somebody out there that will go by car. Don't ask anybody though, one never knows. If you take the train from Lille for instance, you may pay cheaper according to the schedule you leave and if you buy it in advance.

I've been looking now on their website and it's really cheaper than my way out :(
But they didn't say departure's time and in which Door are the seated places :\ and my one is Door O on 12th :D
Moreover I don't know yet if it's possible to cancel my train tickets and my booking in the hotel :thinking: , I have to look at this tomorrow
If it's possible, I could buy a FNAC ticket (90€, ticket in the pit (right word ?) + transportation) and sold this ticket for the pit at somebody else and keeping my seated place
And I live between Lille and Luxembourg, in the Ardens, but I have family near Lille who could lodge me ;)
I look at everything tomorrow and I give you news as soon as possible :)

J'étais en prépa en 2005 et je finissais une colle a 17h30 :D Trop fort !
Je suis arrivée a Bercy à 18h30 j'étais a peu près au milieu de la fosse, et quand le concert a commencé j'ai soudainement été propulsée à peu près au premier 1/3 de la salle. Etant petite je dois avouer ne pas avoir vu grand chose mais je pense que si tu es plus grand qu'1m60 tu apprécieras plus que moi à l'époque héhé

Is it possible to bring a camera to take pictures of the show ? Or there will be thousands of bodyguards looking for every camera at the entrance :( ? And then is it possible to hide the camera in his pants or socks ? :D:D

There will definitely be thousands of guards at the entrance looking for cameras and bottles of water but it's easy to hide your camera in clothes, in your pants, in your pockets, in some random ''food box'' or wherever ;)

I don't see any fast-food around POPB. There are bars and restaurants though. As for me i usually make myself sandwiches even though i rarely eat them. For once ...

No, no fastfoods near Bercy, but the closest Quick restaurant is just across from it, on the other side of the Seine, at the foot of the Bibliothèque François Mitterand. I don't know if I made myself clear :p You just have to cross the bridge (following the metro) and turn on your left. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from Bercy.

Viva La France!

This is a stunning city. Very picturesque (i’m afraid I had to look up the spelling of that).. Iconic landmarks wherever you look, Musee du Louvre, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, Bastille, and of course, Tour Eiffel. I didn’t have long to look around, so I made the most of it!

Just got back to my hotel room from a long walk around Paris (in case you hadn’t guessed). Our 5 ‘BeatTheStreet’ tour buses rolled into the city at about 6:15pm this evening. Quite a journey. We started out from Madrid at about 2:30am last night.. One of the guys described it as a ’submarine trip’ (”a very long time, spent in a confined space”). Mind you, I slept soundly most of the way in my confined bunk space on Bus 5. Our driver, Steffan, always gets us safely to the next city as quick as he can.

That was one of the longer trips we have on this European leg. So now, sadly, we leave Spain behind. Barcelona and Madrid were two amazing shows. Maybe the crowds were subconsciously competing with each other!? I met some great volunteers too. The crowds really seemed to be enthusiastic about Intermon Oxfam’s work on Fair Trade. There is plenty more to come, as Coldplay returns to France, for two shows in Paris Bercy (as always, with Oxfam and our volunteers, for company).

Arwen, i've also bought it online i was there before tickets were online, i kept on refreshing the page, then when there were on sale i chose Porte D but i should have chosen Porte F which is closer to the stage. I'll be seated down, not on a balcony.

Hey everyone, just got back from the show: that was AMAZING !! :thumbsup:

The show began a little late, but it was totally worth it! My only disappointement (as Charley said) was that there was only one encore with Yellow. The crowd was so wild I thought they were going to come on stage a second time, but it was already over :cry:

Such a perfect night :smug:

I'll give more details tomorrow, now I'm going to make sweet dreams about tonight :happy:

Albert Hammond Jr is opening , he's the guitar player of The Strokes .

The concert was very late as Albert hammond Jr started his set at 8:40 pmHe shouldgo back with them as soon as he canas his gig was plain boring , his singing is monotonous and the songs are just average. I already saw him and it wasn't as boring as tonight.

Then at 9:50 pm Coldplay came on stage , Live they 're much more exciting than on cd , they may only have 4 records but they have lots of hit songs. The singer is still funny to watch and the musicians could be easily replaced no one will noticed it. The stage is very simple with the cd cover as backdrop and then a big screen in the back . They've played a couple of songs on a small stage.

They've also played at the back of the venue and this time it wasn't on a proper stage but directly in the aisle in Bercy , first time i'm seeing this happen. Chris made an effort to speak an almost perfect french. Good point.

Funny how some songs are sounding like U2 , they even did like U2 when their drummer came up front to play some drums.

Enjoyable night.
