Have you seen them before? If not, you´ll enjoy a lot. I saw them in the 2 previous tours (years 2003 & 2005) They were amazing.
Tomorrow I´ll try to get ticket for Barcelona, near where I´m living. But, at least, I´ve got one for Glasgow. Cheers.!

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for two tickets for Coldplay in Glasgow on either night.
It's my little sister's birthday on the 5th December and Coldplay
are her favourite band. She's never been to a live gig before so
I thought that surprising her with Coldplay tickets would be a pretty
good birthday present!
If anyone can help, please get in touch :)

Chaos for Coldplay fans as ticket blunder threatens to leave hundreds locked out of Scots gig
HUNDREDS of Coldplay fans will be locked out of their Scottish concerts after a massive ticket mix-up.
Ticketmaster have recalled a batch of 3200 briefs after they were printed on the wrong paper. The gaffe means anyone who bought the tickets from secondary sources, such as eBay, will be denied entry to the concert.
It is estimated that tickets originating from touts and fans who decided to sell them could number more than 800 for the two gigs on December 5 and 6.
Last night, Ticketmaster admitted only fans whose email addresses were registered at the time of sale would be issued with new tickets.
A spokesman said: "It is true that we have announced a recall of tickets, which should be no problem for most fans as there is a long time to go before the concert.
"If people decide to buy tickets from sources such as eBay, it is their own business, but it is something we do not recommend.
"People who buy from other sources lose the rights that other fans are covered by, given that their emails are not registered with us.
"They will therefore not be able to get the replacement tickets sent to them unless they contact the original purchaser and replace the tickets through them."
Despite the chaos, scores of tickets to the gig were selling on eBay yesterday, with some fetching £150 for tickets whose face value is £60.
Buyers had no way of knowing if the tickets will be void by the time of the concert. One disgruntled fan who emailed the Razz said: "Ticketmaster told me the gig will be empty, as most the tickets are bought from auction sites.
"Hundreds will be turned away. This is the biggest gig in Scotland, but only people with registered email addresses will know they have faulty tickets.
"Coldplay will be going nuts when they see the venue empty, as they will not allow anyone in with the tickets they botched up. This is a disgrace by Ticketmaster."
On the Ticketmaster website, a notice advises: "If you have received an email from Ticket master regarding a ticket recall for the Coldplay events at the SECC in Glasgow on December 5 and 6, we can confirm this email is legitimate and would ask you to follow instructions.
"Only customers affected by this issue have been contacted."
The news comes after it emerged that Ticketmaster also had £90,000 worth of tickets and passes for Live at: Loch Lomond and DT Tiesto's Manchester set go missing.

Hi, I want to come to the 6th of December gig but all tickets are sold out, Do you know any secure place to buy two tickets from fans?
I have found some web sites that provide this service but I'm scared about this "ticket problems" thing. I want to be sure of what I'm buying.
Thanks :)

Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone has had tickets reissued from Ticketmaster for the Saturday night. I sent mine back in August and have had an email to acknowledge it. But no new tickets yet! Is this the same for everyone else??

I've still not recieved tickets back from ticket master for the 6th of dec in glasgow.... i'm starting to get really worried about them as its not long to go now. I phoned then last week and they said they are not allowed to reissue the tickets yet due to ticket touts!.... they said that if i haven't recieved them 5 days before i'm to phone them again and i might have to pick them up on the day at the secc (i can imagine the chaos that would be!). Really worried though as these were extra tickets that i bought when the secc website crashed when the tickets were released and i was waiting on the secc phoning back to say they had secured tickets for me. Secc did phone back with 4 rows from the front!!!- so i now have 3 extra tickets that i have no idea when they are going to turn up..... very frustrating. if anyone gets more info on when ticketmaster is going to reissue tickets let me know... also any suggesting where i can sell tickets so close to the event?

try messaging the people earlier in the thread who were looking for tickets. if you're selling them at face-value and they still need them, it would be a good solution all round.

That was one of te best shows I've ever been to! 5th time seeing them live. Twice at T, supporting U2 at Slane Castle and last time at Bellahouston Park. This was the first indoor gig so I've been looking forward to for months. When we took to our seats (section K) I noticed there was a bit boxed off in the section next to me. I was 90% certain that they would play there and they did. What a buzz!!! If I wasn't so financially tight with Xmas I would be there again on Tuesday night but I'll just have to wait for Hampden now instead. Pics & Vids ot follow but now I'm away to get some rest for Kings of Leon tomorrow. Its the Carlsberg weekend for me :)

They even paid a wee tribute to Travis during Green Eyes by singing 'Why Does It Always Rain On Me' in one of the lines! Nice!

When I went to Sheffield this time last week, me and my friend entered the arena coincidentally through doors next to where Hoppy the guitar technician was setting up their guitars on the c stage!! I wanted to say something to him, but what  . It was cool to see their guitars up close. :nice:

Have to say the oddest (and also the funniest) part of the night was the couple sat to my right who left after 6 songs. They were all tarted up. You could tell they hadn't been to a rock concert before lets put it that way. She had the fur coat and all the bling on her fingers and probably elsewhere too (I never asked lol) and was so pissed off cos folk were standing in front of her. They buggered off never to be seen again lol! Was cool cos we could move about a bit more.
Who leaves a gig after 25 mins anyway?? Pair of fuds!

07-12-2008, 02:42 AM
Were you on the floor or in the stands? Think I would have did what you did and went down the front as well if nobody was stopping me but not so easy when you're in the tiers lol. Have to say everybody was up dancing where I was too. Think I sat for about a minute of a song but that was just to sort out the settings on my camera.
Just uploading my pics but nowhere near as good as yours. Not too shabby seeing as I was at the back mind you lol. Get the whole stage in as well so it shows a different perspective.

Nah it was a black number. To be honest it looked like he's got the tickets as a business perk. She was telling him to tell the others to sit down (all 10000 of us lol) and he just stood up and then did nothing lol.

What a fantastic night!!
The guys totally rocked. The crowd was completely up for it. The atmosphere was unbelieveable. The highlights for me were Yellow.... the whole place playing punch the massive yellow balloons back at Chris. The B stage set perform right in front of us. Lovers in Japan with thousands of luminous butterflies. The Scientist when Chris changed the words ...'Come up to Glasgow, dying to see you. Don't know how fucking awesome you are' ...superb. Not mentioned was that he sang the first verse and chorus of Take That's Back for Good. But perhaps the best thing was the crowd constantly singing the chorus from Vida La Viva even on the way to the train station....how cool is that!
Will try and upload photos and vids later.
And to all the Buckland Girls, Jonny ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its normally all standing there apart from bands that you want to sit down to. It'll be standing at the Kings Of Leon gig I'm just about to leave for :D Last night was mega but can you imagine how much more amazing it might have been if it was standing on the floor? We were all standing anyway I suppose :D Armosphere didn't suffer at all.

Hi there,
Just sorting our travel arrangements for Tuesday (yay!) and was wondering what time the band came on stage? How long did they end up playing for (got to make sure I make the last train back to Edinburgh!).
Not heard much about the support but are they worth going early for?
Thanks!

COLDPLAY ****
SECC, GLASGOW
SO REVERED are Coldplay that they practically simply have to turn up at gigs to stoke their fans. Indeed, at times here it felt as if Chris Martin could have just knocked off early, in such good voice was his audience, to the point of almost drowningADVERTISEMENTthe singer out.
Yet this was a performance with surprising heart, soul, energy and even intimacy from a band often knocked for being expertly bland. We did get all the predictable arena rock tricks – giant balloons bouncing around during Yellow; an acoustic interlude which saw all four members appear on a podium at the back of the hall; coloured confetti falling from the ceiling come the encore.
But there were many more revelatory moments: old songs were tinkered with gleefully (God Put a Smile Upon Your Face and Talk got a ravey electronic makeover); new songs were played with a degree of heart that belied the drabness of Coldplay's fourth album Viva La Vida (or Death And All His Friends).
Martin is an endearingly hardworking and imperfect frontman live – his piano bashing was discordantly overeager at times; as the final chorus of Lovers In Japan kicked in, his vocals were way off-key, and with a frank laugh he admitted it: "F**k, I'm completely out of tune."
The show reached it's apogee following Viva La Vida, as the crowd continued to bellow the song's wordless melodic refrain long after it had finished, Martin lying prone on his back at the end of a runway, for once speechless.

I was just reading Roadie #42blog on the coldplay website about this gig.He mentioned that the fans were singing the guitar parts as well as the actual songs! I'm beginning to think this is some sort of tradition whenever a band play the SECC. I saw Arcade Fire play there last year and the fans did exactly the same thing.Everyone was singing the violin part of Rebellion(Lies) even after the band had stopped singing the song haha.It must be a scottish thing! :P

Its definitly a Scottish thing I think lol. Heard it last night during Kings Of Leon's (sublime) Slow Night So Long and also during Franz Ferdinand's Take Me Out. I think we just like to sing and a lack of words ain't gonna stop us :D

Only disppointment for me was that they never played Arizona! Probably my fav tune of theirs!! Was great despite that mind you. Even the 45 minute wait to get out the car park didn't annoy me (2 nights in a row!!)
Arcade Fire. Now there's a gig I would have loved to have been at. Nearest I got was U2 using Wake up as their intro music on the last tour :D

IT’S THE stuff dreams are made of...
One of the biggest musical superstars of this generation walks over to you at a concert packed with 10,000 screaming fans and hands you one of his personal possessions.
But for nine-year-old Euan Bruce, it’s a reality.
The Ayr Grammar pupil couldn’t believe his luck when his hero Chris Martin clocked him sitting in the front row of Coldplay’s sell-out gig at the SECC last Saturday night.
And before he left the stage, the singer songwriter walked over to Euan and handed him the harmonica he had been playing throughout the gig.
Euan’s thrilled mum Gillian said: “We couldn’t believe it. We were sitting at what we thought was the back of the floored seating area, but there was a small stage behind us and Coldplay came on to that stage to perform a couple of songs at the start of the concert.
“We could see Chris Martin really staring at Euan when he came on to the stage. Then before they left he came over and handed the harmonica to him. Lots of people were trying to grab it so Chris pulled it back before placing it firmly in Euan’s hand.”
Starstruck Euan was speechless at the big-hearted gesture.
Gillian continued: “He fell asleep on the way home clutching the harmonica, it was so sweet. But he hasn’t told any of his friends about it at school, Euan is really shy and has kept it to himself – I’ve been telling everyone though!”
Music daft Euan rates Coldplay, Snow Patrol and The Proclaimers as his favourite bands.
He’s started guitar lessons and is learning to play the drums - and it’s only a matter of time before he’s mastered the harmonica too.
And what does Euan want to be when he grows up? A singer songwriter like his new pal Chris Martin of course.
