i went to a show a few years ago and sat in the back of the floor at the arena. from what i remember the last 3 floor sections or at least part of them were on a riser which helps a lot. so you are not flat on the floor with everybody else.

i'm glad i decided to skip these shows and just go to philly. izod doesn't have the best sound and parking will be just awful especially with the football game from earlier in the day.

PNC bank arts center is my favorite vevnue (from what i've been to anyway). i love how small it is, any seat in there is a good seat.
... plus it was where i saw Coldplay and Incubus, my two favorite bands, for the first time. so i might be a little biased :P

I don't really know what it's all about because when my best friend and I saw Justin Timberlake & Pink last year at IZOD, the sound was pretty good to me. But then again, I haven't been to many concerts in an arena such as this (Jason Mraz in Avery Fisher Hall, M.I.A. in Central Park) so I can't really compare it to other arenas.

I got 2 floor seats for IZOD on Sunday. Havent been there - aside for seeing the devils when they were still playing at continental arena (which is entirely different). I think they are Section 6 or 7, but cant remember at the moment.

Still trying to figure out how to get there from NYC. Not sure if Ill have a car. Id def be up for meeting others to share a ride or something.

Ah, a good point. But I think you're safe in this case. I used the bus to see Barenaked Ladies a few years back. You can call closer to the date (mid September maybe) just to confirm. It's actually really smooth as long as you head to the bus right after the show.

As for the Izod center itself? It's a fine place to see a concert. Not the shiniest and newest of arenas, but no sightline issues to speak of, and the sound is just as good as anywhere.

Ok so I was just at izod last night to see foo fighters (I finally understand what you mean by the horrible soun d quality, but I'm chalking that up to being in the very last row... Aaaall the way at the top :p). Anyway I realized the floor wasn't in sections. My friend says al floor tickets have sections rows and seat numbers on them but that doesn't mean anything. Sooooo does this mean it's like a first-come-first-served arrangement?

Christa i had a crazy fucking dream

it was oct 26 and i was at the concert (which was AMAZING obvi) and somehow i was front row on the floor. dunno how it happened, my dream started mid-show. but anyway at the end of the show i grab my friends arm and we JET out of there and get to the back of the venue looking for the exit the band might use. we think we missed them, but we peek into a garage and lo and behold we see Guy and Will getting ready to drive out in Guy's black aston martin! so im like OH SHIT and i wave like a lunatic at guy and he waves back. and all of a sudden tehre are 5 other girls behind us and we're all waving at them like idiots. so they pull up in front of us and Will rolls down his window so we can chat. and we're all liek AHHH GUYSSS WE LOVE YOU! HI!! and they laugh and say thanks. some more words were exchanged but i really have no idea what i said. i just remember staring at Guy the whole time. anyway they say they have to go so we're liek oh ok then BYEEEE and they drive off. all sexy-like.
heres the funny part.
on our way home on the subway (dunno why we're in a subway) i remembered i promised you id report as soon as i got out of the show, so i got on my phone and started posting my experience on here :P
and then i woke up and realized there are still 74 days til anything like that can happen :(

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Event bus No. 351 from the Port Authority bus terminal in NYC will no longer operate for Meadowlands Sports Complex Events (Giants, Jets, Red Bulls and Nets games, concerts, family shows and special events).
Beginning Thursday, September 4, 2008 (Giants vs. Washington Redskins game) NJ TRANSIT will replace No. 351 Bus service with a new rail/bus shuttle service between Penn Station New York and the Meadowlands Sports Complex via Secaucus Junction Rail Station (arena and stadium events). With the launch of this new service, Bus No. 351 will no longer operate to the Meadowlands from the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
Here's how the new service works: Customers traveling to the Meadowlands for sporting events, concerts, family shows and other major events will board trains at Penn Station New York (PSNY) and transfer at Secaucus to waiting shuttle buses to the Meadowlands. thats so exciting! idk about the buses, njtransit.com is really helpful though, they have a trip planning thing where you can put in your start and end destinations and they tell you what busses to take

Ive not been around in awhile but I have a second ticket for this show (Sunday night) that I *must* sell. Its floor seats and the price is $120 with service charges. A friend was supposed to buy the other as he missed them in Ireland, but turns out now he has to go to India. he's cursed. What do you all suggest as the best way to get to the Izod Center from the city. I have a car, but I feel that may be a bitch to park and then park back in the city that night.

What do you all suggest as the best way to get to the Izod Center from the city. I have a car, but I feel that may be a bitch to park and then park back in the city that night.

Is there any form of public transportation out there?

COLDPLAY, IZOD CENTER, E Rutherford, NJ. That’s what it says on the white A4 sheet taped to the mirror above my laptop screen. Below that title is a list of phone numbers and times for today’s daysheet. It’s taped to a mirrow in my (borrowed) office. Surrounding the mirror are those big white bulbs, like the ones you would imagine backstage at a Broadway show, or on Bugsy Malone..

It’s just over 8 hours until Coldplay are due to take the stage here. About 5 hours until today’s troop of Oxfam volunteers arrive. We’re back to the big shows again. The buses rolled into Manhatten on Wednesday morning. The backline crew unloaded for a Yahoo Sessions show at the Hammerstein Ballroom, which aired on TV that night. The next couple of days was preparing for the Saturday Night Live show which aired last night, .. and exploring Manhatten. I took the chance to check out Longwave at the Bowery Ballroom. Steve Schiltz from Albert Hammond Jr (the Coldplay support out in Europe), is the lead-singer for Longwave. They put on a great show. Switching between gentle melodies and a wall of sound. They also have a new record coming out in November..

Tonight, we are back to the regular day-job. All crew back on the floor, rolling cases around and getting the big show rolling again. Another chance for a fresh bunch of Coldplay fans to get involved with Oxfam’s work and take in a great concert.

I heard that there may be a few famous faces in the house tonight.. Including, possibly, a certain Glastonbury conquerer.. Maybe tonight, we will see a special ‘Encore’.

=well first off print as many as you can then you have to try and get in the arena early. Tell the security gaurds that your with oxfam and have their permission to hand out signs. Once your inside put as many as you can on the seats.
