Maybe 10 or 11 for the same reason. I don't want to kill the enjoyment...and I know the radio will do that for me sooner or later.

Well, you have a very specific way of listening to music, so it's probably easier for you to just stick with the queue, because you're used to doing it. It makes sense, but I'm still impressed. I think I could wait for an official release if the album leaked early, but not the single.

I love sitting down with a new album, exploring the artwork and reading the lyrics (when provided) as I listen, and you can't do that with a leak.

yes i do. 100%. that's how i interpret them, anyway, and music is completely subjective, but i think that's how chris intended them too. really, there are too many connections to him and to the economy etc etc for me to deny them, but i don't think everyone has to interpret them that way.

I was singing it in the car while going grocery shopping without my MP3 player, as I'd forgotten it at home - horror of horrors! ;) Yes, I've already memorised the lyrics (or what we've established them to be). While washing the dishes tonight I listened to it a further 5 times. Then I engaged in some discussion of the lyrics, requiring me to listen to it 3 times.

So, that comes to a grand total of (at least) 42 times, not counting my singing in the car. :D

@ whoever asks "honestly people, how could you ever actually listen to Violet Hill 400x?" Well, the playcount on my iPod is at over 500. I listen to it during school, while I write, while I clean, while I do whatever. And when you think about it, all you'd have to do is just listen to the song a couple times a day, and, well, there are 365 days in a year, so I suppose [I]that's how you could listen to it over 400 times. Though to put it more simply, how to listen to Violet Hill over 400x, well, just be a TRUE Coldplay fan is how. :D
