A major part of the upgrading work that has been carried out over the last few weeks was to enable us to create the first independent Coldplay site powered by Wiki.

WikiColdplay uses the Coldplaying vBulletin messageboard as a base and has integrated into the pages. All you need to do to add/edit/remove content from ColdplayWiki is simply log into your messageboard account as normal.

The links you need to bookmark are the following:

http://www.wikicoldplay.com
http://wiki.coldplaying.com

Additionally there will be a Wiki button available soon on the messageboard navigation bar. Colours and templates will be updated soon to reflect the style you choose in the messageboard. Currently the content is small and taken under the GFDL licence but in order to begin to develop its independence it will need a considerable amount of brutal editing and content creation.

There was recently a recritment campaign for wikimods for Coldplaying.com. These will be announced soon. If you didn't see the recruitment there is still time to express your interest. Simply contact the site or PM busybeeburns.

We hope you enjoy the WikiColdplay project for years to come, and it's ultimate success is what you make it!

Ian, Stephen & Jen

Nope, I believe there has been several other wikis for bands, but the only one that comes to mind is the Manic Street Preachers Wiki (http://www.msppedia.org/~dilb0t/index.php?title=Main_Page), although the Coldplay one is a lot more detailed from the homepage.

I don't believe there hasn't been a wikiColdplay before now.

It's good that Ian is making use of new technology

A few updates to Wiki is taking place at the moment which may mean it might look/act a bit differently until it is sorted. All the content is still there and you can still edit it, even if not logged in.

Will update the situation when there is more news :)

WikiColdplay is now hosted on its own domain, no longer part of the Coldplaying address.

You may need to request a change of password in order to log in. If that fails, simply re-register :)
